Ploughing and fertilization practices in rice-wheat system have deteriorated the soil carbon (C) pools. Conservation agriculture (CA) based management approaches have proven to enhance C sequestration and reverse the loss of soil-organic-carbon (SOC), which further enhances soil fertility. Different fractions of SOC pools react to the alterations in management practices and indicate changes in SOC dynamics as compared to total C in the soil. Higher SOC levels in soil have been observed in case of reduced/no-till (NT) practices than conventional tillage (CT). However, between CT and zero tillage/NT, total SOC stocks diminished with an increase in soil depth, which demonstrated that the benefits of SOC are more pronounced in the topsoil under NT. Soil aggregation provides physical protection to C associated with different-sized particles, thus, the improvement in soil aggregation through CA is an effective way to mitigate soil C loss. Along with less soil disturbance, residual management, suitable crop rotation, rational application of manures and fertilizers, and integrated nutrient management have been found to be effective in not only improving soil C stock but also enhancing the soil health and productivity. Thus, CA can be considered as a potential method in the build-up of SOC of soil in rice-wheat system.

Stability and Bifurcation of a Prey-Predator System with Additional Food and Two Discrete Delays

In this paper,the impact of additional food and two discrete delays on the dynamics of a prey-predator model is *** interaction between prey and predator is considered as Holling Type-II functional *** additional food is provided to the predator to reduce its dependency on the *** delay is the gestation delay in predator while the other delay is the delay in supplying the additional food to *** positivity,boundedness and persistence of the solutions of the system are studied to show the system as biologically *** existence of steady states,their local and global asymptotic behavior for the non-delayed system are *** is shown that(i)predator’s dependency factor on additional food induces a periodic solution in the system,and(ii)the two delays considered in the system are capable to change the status of the stability behavior of the *** existence of periodic solutions via Hopf-bifurcation is shown with respect to both the *** analysis shows that both delay parameters play an important role in governing the dynamics of the *** direction and stability of Hopf-bifurcation are also investigated through the normal form theory and the center manifold *** experiments are also conducted to validate the theoretical results.

Sulfamic acid（SA） is a bi-functional, cost-effective and reusable green catalyst for the synthesis of 4-（pyrazol-4-yl）methylenepyrazol-5（4H）-one derivatives by one-pot, three-component condensation of pyrazol-4-carbaxaldehydes, b-ketoesters and phenyl hydrazine（Route-I）. In addition to this method,another simple condensation of pyrazol-4-carbaxaldehydes with pyrazolone in the presence of SA under the solvent-free condition in good yield is reported. The merits of these protocols are mild conditions,non-aqueous workup, high yields, easy availability of the catalyst, no chromatographic separation and inexpensive solid acid catalyst. Furthermore, SA could be recycled and reused for five times without losing its catalytic activity.

In this paper, a surface potential based threshold voltage model of fully-depleted（FD） recessed-source/drain（Re-S/D）silicon-on-insulator（SOI） metal-oxide semiconductor field-effect transistor（MOSFET） is presented while considering the effects of high-k gate-dielectric material induced fringing-field. The two-dimensional（2D） Poisson＇s equation is solved in a channel region in order to obtain the surface potential under the assumption of the parabolic potential profile in the transverse direction of the channel with appropriate boundary conditions. The accuracy of the model is verified by comparing the model＇s results with the 2D simulation results from ATLAS over a wide range of channel lengths and other parameters,including the dielectric constant of gate-dielectric material.

Approximate analytical solution of the system of coupled nonlinear Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs) of a biochemical reaction model is much relevant due to its practical significance to *** this paper,an effective and powerful mathematical technique,*** homotopy analysis transform method (FHATM),is employed to get the numerical solutions of biochemical reaction model with time fractional *** adopted scheme is the beautiful copulation of homotopy analysis technique and Laplace transform *** paper shows that the adopted scheme is quite easy as well as computationally attractive in the context of a solution *** Caputo-type fractional derivatives are considered in the present *** results of the probability density functions of the time fractional biochemical reaction model are computed for miscellaneous fractional Brownian motions as well as for classical motion and are presented *** time fractional biochemical reaction model with respect to stability analysis for various values of fractional order q is also *** the context of stability discussion,we have used the fractional Routh-Hurwitz stability criterion to establish the local stability of the biochemical reaction model of fractional order.

Epidemiology of lung cancer and approaches for its prediction:a systematic review and analysis

Background: Owing to the use of tobacco and the consumption of alcohol and adulterated food, worldwide cancer incidence is increasing at an alarming and frightening rate. Since the last decade of the twentieth century, lung cancer has been the most common cancer type. This study aimed to determine the global status of lung cancer and to evaluate the use of computational methods in the early detection of lung ***: We used lung cancer data from the United Kingdom(UK), the United States(US), India, and Egypt. For statistical analysis, we used incidence and mortality as well as survival rates to better understand the critical state of lung ***: In the UK and the US, we found a significant decrease in lung cancer mortalities in the period of 1990–2014, whereas, in India and Egypt, such a decrease was not much promising. Additionally, we observed that, in the UK and the US, the survival rates of women with lung cancer were higher than those of men. We observed that the data mining and evolutionary algorithms were efficient in lung cancer ***: Our findings provide an inclusive understanding of the incidences, mortalities, and survival rates of lung cancer in the UK, the US, India, and Egypt. The combined use of data mining and evolutionary algorithm can be efficient in lung cancer detection.

T'his research paper implements the fractional homotopy analysis transform technique to compute the approximate analytical solution of the nonlinear three-species food chain model with time-fractional *** offered technique is a fantastic blend of homotopy analysis method(HAM)and Laplace transform(LT)operator and has been used fruitfully in the numerical computation of various fractional differential equations(FDEs).This paper involves the fractional derivatives of Caputo *** numerical solutions of this selected fractional-order food chain model are evaluated by making use of the associated initial *** is revealed by the adopting procedure that the more desirable estimation of the solution can be easily acquired through the calculation of some number of iteration terms only-a fact which authenticates the easiness and soundness of the suggested hybrid *** variations of fractional order of time derivative on the solutions for different specific cases have been depicted through graphical *** outcomes demonstrated through the graphs expound that the adopted scheme is very fantastic and accurate.

Medical Data Clustering and Classification Using TLBO and Machine Learning Algorithms

This study aims to empirically analyze teaching-learning-based optimization(TLBO)and machine learning algorithms using k-means and fuzzy c-means(FCM)algorithms for their individual performance evaluation in terms of clustering and *** the first phase,the clustering(k-means and FCM)algorithms were employed independently and the clustering accuracy was evaluated using different *** the second phase,the non-clustered data obtained from the first phase were preprocessed with *** was performed using k-means(TLBO-KM)and FCM(TLBO-FCM)(TLBO-KM/FCM)*** objective function was determined by considering both minimization and maximization ***-clustered data obtained from the first phase were further utilized and fed as input for threshold *** benchmark datasets were considered from theUniversity of California,Irvine(UCI)Machine Learning Repository for comparative study and *** are breast cancer Wisconsin(BCW),Pima Indians Diabetes,Heart-Statlog,Hepatitis,and Cleveland Heart Disease *** combined average accuracy obtained collectively is approximately 99.4%in case of TLBO-KM and 98.6%in case of *** approach is also capable of finding the dominating *** findings indicate that TLBO-KM/FCM,considering different computational measures,perform well on the non-clustered data where k-means and FCM,if employed independently,fail to provide significant *** different feature sets,the TLBO-KM/FCM and SVM(GS)clearly outperformed all other classifiers in terms of sensitivity,specificity and ***/FCM attained the highest average sensitivity(98.7%),highest average specificity(98.4%)and highest average accuracy(99.4%)for 10-fold cross validation with different test data.
