Evaluation of IEEE 802.11 Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET) security issues becomes significant concern for researchers since Denial of Service (DoS) attacks are recognized as one of the most harmful threats. A variety of security mechanisms are proposed to solve security dilemma in MANETs against different layers of DoS attacks. Physical Layer jamming attacks exhaust the victim’s network resources such as bandwidth, computing power, battery, etc. Unified Security Mechanism (USM) and Rate Adaptation Scheme (RAS) are two of the proposed methods by researchers against DoS attacks. USM and RAS mechanisms are simulated through OPNET simulator and Jamming Attack is generated on the network for each security mechanisms to compare specific performance metrics on the network.

The carbon materials as anode electrodes have been widely studied for potassium ion batteries(PIBs).However,the large size of potassium ions prevents their intercalation/deintercalation,resulting in poor storage ***,a novel design of N/S codoped hierarchical carbonaceous fibers(NSHCF)formed from nanosheets self-assembled by catalyzing Aspergillus niger with Sn is *** asprepared NSHCF at 600℃(NSHCF-600)exhibits a high reversible capacity of 345.4 m Ah g^(-1) at 0.1 A g^(-1) after 100 cycles and an excellent rate performance of 124.5 m Ah g^(-1) at 2 A g^(-1).The excellent potassium storage performance can be ascribed to the N/S dual-doping,which enlarges interlayer spacing(0.404 nm)and introduces more *** larger interlayer spacing and higher pyridinic N active sites can promote K ions diffusion and *** addition,the ex situ transmission electron microscopy reveals the high reversibility of potassiation/depotassiation process and structural stability.

The Gossip-Based Relay Protocol (GRP) is developed based on Ad Hoc on Demand Distance Vector Protocol (AODV) and proposed to increase the efficiency of package routing functionality in ad hoc networks through specific flooding scheme. This lightweight protocol reduced the collisions on the network through specific mechanisms. Request to Send/Clear to Send (RTS/CTS) mechanism is widely used in ad hoc environment with Temporarily Ordered Routing Algorithm (TORA) in order to eliminate collisions and allow access to the shared medium through proposed authentication methods. Since GRP contains specific mechanism of directed acyclic Graph (DAG) mechanism to mitigate overhead problem, RTS/CTS modified TORA might result in similar performance metrics. In this paper, TORA protocol has a modification of new RTS/CTS mechanism and has been simulated in order to be compared with proposed lightweight robust forwarding GRP scheme in terms of specific performance metrics such as network throughput, end-to-end delay and message flooding rate over the network through OPNET simulation package in order to expose the optimal solution to increase overall network throughput in ad hoc environment.

Objective:To determine the effect of rice bran extract(RBE)in combination with doxorubicin on 4 T1 triple-negative breast cancer cells and NIH-3 T3 ***:RBE was obtained by maceration with *** phytochemical profile of RBE was observed using highperformance liquid *** effect of RBE was evaluated through MTT *** addition,flow cytometry was used for cell cycle and apoptosis *** senescence was observed using SA-β-Gal assay and intracellular reactive oxygen species(ROS)levels were evaluated using DCFDA *** pro-oxidant property of RBE was also evaluated through 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene spectrophotometry and molecular ***:RBE was obtained with a yield of 18.42%w/w and contained tocotrienols as the major *** exerted no cytotoxic effect on 4 T1 and NIH-3 T3 ***,RBE in combination with doxorubicin decreased 4 T1 cell viability synergistically(combination index<0.9)and induced apoptosis and senescence on 4 T1 *** significantly decreased senescence in doxorubicin-treated NIH-3 T3 ***,RBE did not increase ROS levels in doxorubicin-treated 4 T1 ***,the combination of RBE and doxorubicin reduced ROS levels in NIH-3 T3 *** significantly reduced glutathione-S-transferase activity and alpha-tocotrienol interacted with glutathione-Stransferase in the glutathione binding ***:Rice bran may be used as a co-chemotherapeutic agent to improve the therapeutic effectiveness of doxorubicin while protecting against the cellular senescence effects of doxorubicin on healthy cells.

Many native proteins possess limited functionality, and modification such as succinylation is often performed to expand the range of functional properties available for pharmaceutical dosage form. Succinylation could be useful for modulating protein-based system swelling and drug delivery properties especially for sustained controlled release dosage form like microsphere. A well designed controlled drug delivery system can overcome the problems of conventional drug therapy and gives better therapeutic efficacy of a drug.

Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) uses high frequency alternating current to heat a volume of tissue around a needle electrode to induce focal coagulative necrosis with minimal injury to surrounding tissues. RFA can be performed via an open, laparoscopic, or image guided percutaneous approach and be performed under general or local anesthesia. Advances in delivery mechanisms, electrode designs, and higher power generators have increased the maximum volume that can be ablated, while maximizing oncological outcomes. In general, RFA is used to control local tumor growth, prevent recurrence, palliate symptoms, and improve survival in a subset of patients that are not candidates for surgical resection. It's equivalence to surgical resection has yet to be proven in large randomized control trials. Currently, the use of RFA has been well described as a primary or adjuvant treatment modality of limited but unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma, liver metastasis, especially colorectal cancer metastases, primary lung tumors, renal cell carcinoma, boney metastasis and osteoid osteomas. The role of RFA in the primary treatment of early stage breast cancer is still evolving. This review will discuss the general features of RFA and outline its role in commonly encountered solid tumors.

Simulating long-term effect of Hyrcanian forest loss on phosphorus loading at the sub-watershed level

Conversion of forest land to farmland in the Hyrcanian forest of northern Iran increases the nutrient input, especially the phosphorus（P） nutrient, thus impacting the water quality. Modeling the effect of forest loss on surface water quality provides valuable information for forest management. This study predicts the future impacts of forest loss between 2010 and 2040 on P loading in the Tajan River watershed at the sub-watershed level. To understand drivers of the land cover, we used Land Change Modeler（LCM） combining with the Soil Water Assessment Tool（SWAT） model to simulate the impacts of land use change on P loading. We characterized priority management areas for locating comprehensive and cost-effective management practices at the sub-watershed level. Results show that agricultural expansion has led to an intense deforestation. During the future period 2010–2040, forest area is expected to decrease by 34,739 hm^2. And the areas of pasture and agriculture are expected to increase by 7668 and 27,071 hm^2, respectively. In most sub-watersheds, P pollution will be intensified with the increase in deforestation by the year 2040. And the P concentration is expected to increase from 0.08 to 2.30 mg/L in all of sub-watersheds by the year 2040. It should be noted that the phosphorous concentration exceeds the American Public Health Association′s water quality standard of 0.2 mg/L for P in drinking water in both current and future scenarios in the Tajan River watershed. Only 30% of sub-watersheds will comply with the water quality standards by the year 2040. The finding of the present study highlights the importance of conserving forest area to maintain a stable water quality.

Language, literature, customs and traditions, music and art are cultural items that were transmitted from generation to generation throughout history. In this context, literature is an important source of music culture that takes inspiration from the customs and traditions of a society. Prosodic meter is echoed in form, usul and general structure in works composed from the divan literature and almost lives in the work. In the same way, when examples of folk literature composed by composers and performed by poets and a^lks are examined, it is observed that there are parallels between literary features and form, structure and rhythmic features.
