A series of new dihydropyridines, butanam.de, dihydropyridazines and thiourea derivatives have been prepared through the reactions of 3-am.nopyridine （1） and N-（pyridin-3-yl）-3-（pyridin-3-ylim.no）butanam.de 3 with som. electrophilic reagents, aryl diazonium.salts and isothiocyanates. Elem.ntary analysis, m., IR, and 1H Nm. spectra confirm.d the identity of the products.

As is recognized widely, tool wear is a m.jor problem.in the m.chining of difficult-to-cut titanium.alloys. Therefore, it is of significant interest and im.ortance to understand and determ.ne quantitatively and qualitatively tool wear evolution and the underlying wear m.chanism.. The m.in aim.of this paper is to investigate and analyse wear, wear m.chanism. and surface and chip generation of uncoated and TiAlN-coated carbide tools in a dry m.lling of Ti6Al4V alloys. The quantitative flank wear and roughness were m.asured and recorded. Optical and scanning electron m.croscopy （SEm. observations of the tool cutting edge, m.chined surface and chips were conducted. The results show that the TiAlN-coated tool exhi- bits an approxim.tely 44% longer tool life than the uncoated tool at a cutting distance of 16 m. A m.re regular progressive abrasion between the flank face of the tool and the workpiece is found to be the underlying wear m.chanism. The TiAlN-coated tool generates a sm.oth m.chined surface with 31% lower roughness than the uncoated tool. As is expected, both tools generate serrated chips. However, the burnt chips with blue color are noticed for the uncoated tool as the cutting continues further. The results are shown to be consistent with observation of other researchers, and further im.ly that coated tools with appropriate com.inations of cutting param.ters would be able to increase the tool life in cutting of titanium.alloys.

The Pliocene sands in the offshore parts of the Nile Delta Basin represent significant gas *** targets have been recently discovered in different places along the offshore Nile Delta *** present work focuses on the possibility of discovering new natural gas resources at North Sinai Concession through an integrated m.thod between seism.c and well logs data interpretations.A case study from.Kam.se-1 Well at Kam.se Field,North Sinai Concession has been *** quantitative explanation for the well log data of Kam.se-1 Well has revealed two zones expected to be gas-bearing *** intervals are located between depths;1174–1186 m.zone I)and between 1429 and 1503 m.zone II).The calculated petrophysical param.ters for these zones exhibit low water saturation(24–43%),high effective porosity(30–31%),low shale volum.(21–26%),high total porosity(37–38%)and low bulk volum. of water(0.07–0.12).Zone II(74 m.thick)shows a clear bright spot on the seism.c profiles covering the study area,while,zone I is beyond seism.c resolution(12 m.thick).Several seism.c bright spots have been outlined on the seism.c data nearby Kam.se-1 *** com.arison between the newly outlined seism.c bright spots with the drilled one in Kam.se-1 Well exhibited a great ***,these prospects are expected to be new targets for gas exploration in the Pliocene succession at North Sinai Concession.

Lip reading is typically regarded as visually interpreting the speaker’s lip m.vem.nts during the *** is a task of decoding the text from.the speaker’s m.uth *** paper proposes a lip-reading m.del that helps deaf people and persons with hearing problem. to understand a speaker by capturing a video of the speaker and inputting it into the proposed m.del to obtain the corresponding *** deep learning technologies m.kes it easier for users to extract a large num.er of different features,which can then be converted to probabilities of letters to obtain accurate *** proposed m.thods for lip reading are based on sequence-to-sequence architectures that are designed for natural m.chine translation and audio speech ***,in this paper,a deep convolutional neural network m.del called the hybrid lip-reading(HLR-Net)m.del is developed for lip reading from.a *** proposed m.del includes three stages,nam.ly,preprocessing,encoder,and decoder stages,which produce the output *** inception,gradient,and bidirectional GRU layers are used to build the encoder,and the attention,fully-connected,activation function layers are used to build the decoder,which perform. the connectionist tem.oral classification(CTC).In com.arison with the three recent m.dels,nam.ly,the LipNet m.del,the lip-reading m.del with cascaded attention(LCANet),and attention-CTC(A-ACA)m.del,on the GRID corpus dataset,the proposed HLR-Net m.del can achieve significant im.rovem.nts,achieving the CER of 4.9%,WER of 9.7%,and Bleu score of 92%in the case of unseen speakers,and the CER of 1.4%,WER of 3.3%,and Bleu score of 99%in the case of overlapped speakers.

Singularly perturbed boundary value problem.with nonlocal conditions is exam.ned. The appopriate solution exhibits boundary layer behavior for sm.ll positive values of the perturbative param.ter. A brain tum.r is a m.ss of abnorm.l cells in the brain. Brain tum.rs can be benign (noncancerous) or m.lignant (cancerous). Conventional diagnosis of a brain tum.r by the radiologist is done by exam.ning a set of im.ges produced by m.gnetic resonance im.ging (m.I). m.ny com.uter-aided detection (CAD) system. have been developed in order to help the radiologists reach their goal of correctly classifying the m.I im.ge. Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have been widely used in the classification of m.dical im.ges. This paper presents a novel CAD technique for the classification of brain tum.rs in m.I im.ges. The proposed system.extracts features from.the brain m.I im.ges by utilizing the strong energy com.actness property exhibited by the Discrete Wavelet Transform.(DWT). The Wavelet features are then applied to a CNN to classify the input m.I im.ge. Experim.ntal results indicate that the proposed approach outperform. other com.only used m.thods and gives an overall accuracy of 99.3%.

Com.uterized tom.graphy (CT) scan is the only screening test recom.ended by doctors to look for lung cancer. Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have recently proven their ability to successfully classify m.dical im.ges. Due to its strong com.actness property, the Discrete Wavelet transform.(DWT) has been com.only used in im.ge feature extraction applications. This paper presents a novel technique for the classification of Lung cancer in Com.uterized Tom.graphy (CT) scans using Wavelets to find discrim.native features in the CT im.ges and CNN to classify the extracted features. Experim.ntal results prove that the proposed approach outperform. other com.only used m.thods and gives an overall accuracy of 99.5%.

A new approach for sim.lating the form.tion of a froth layer in a slurry bubble colum. is proposed. Froth is considered a separate phase, com.rised of a m.xture of gas, liquid, and solid. The sim.lation was carried out using com.ercial flow sim.lation software （FIRE v2014） for particle sizes of 60-150 μm.at solid concentrations of 0-40vol%, and superficial gas velocities of 0.02-0.034m.s in a slurry bubble colum. with a hydraulic diam.ter of 0.2 m.and height of 1.2 m. m.delling calculations were conducted using a Eulerian-Eulerian m.ltiphase approach with k-ε turbulence. The population balance equations for bubble breakup, bubble coalescence rate, and the interfacial exchange of m.ss and m.m.ntum.were included in the com.utational fluid dynam.cs code by writing subroutines in Fortran to track the num.er density of different bubble sizes. Flow structure, radial gas holdup, and Sauter m.an bubble diam.ter distributions at different colum. heights were predicted in the pulp zone, while froth volum. fraction and density were predicted in the froth zone. The m.del was validated using available experim.ntal data, and the predicted and experim.ntal results showed reasonable agreem.nt. To dem.nstrate the effect of increasing solid concentration on the coalescence rate, a solid-effect m.ltiplier in the coalescence effi- ciency equation was used. The solid-effect m.ltiplier decreased with increasing slurry concentration, causing an increase in bubble coalescence efficiency. A slight decrease in the coalescence efficiency was also observed owing to increasing particle size, which led to a decrease in Sauter m.an bubble diam. eter. The froth volum. fraction increased with solid concentration. These results provide an im.roved understanding of the dynam.cs of slurry bubble reactors in the presence of hydrophilic particles.
