In this paper,highly stab.e,powerful,and recyclab.e magnetic nanoparticles tethered Nheterocyclic carb.ne-palladium(Ⅱ)((CH_(3))_(3)-NHC-Pd@Fe_(3)O_(4))as magnetic nanocatalyst was successfully synthesized from a simplistic multistep synthesis under aerob.c conditions through easily availab.e low-cost *** synthesized(CH_(3))_(3)-NHC-Pd@Fe_(3)O_(4) magnetic nanocatalyst was characterized from various analytical tools and catalytic potential of the(CH_(3))_(3)-NHC-Pd@Fe_3 O_4 magnetic nanocatalyst was studied for the catalytic reduction of toxic 4-nitrophenol(4-NP),hexavalent chromium(Cr(Ⅵ)),Methylene b.ue(Mb.and Methyl Orange(MO)at room temperature in aqueous ***-Visib.e spectroscopy was employed to monitor the reduction ***(CH_(3))_(3)-NHC-Pd@Fe_(3)O_(4) magnetic nanocatalyst exhib.ted excellent catalytic activity for the reduction of toxic environmental ***,(CH_(3))_(3)-NHC-Pd@Fe_(3)O_(4) magnetic nanocatalyst could b. easily and rapidly separated from the reaction mixture with the help of an external magnet and recycled minimum five times in reduction of 4-NP,Mb.MO and four times in Cr(Ⅵ)without significant loss of catalytic potential and remains stab.e even after reuse.

Aim: To evaluate the antifertility activity of the ethanolic extract of Amalakyadi churna b. oral administration in male alb.no mice. Methods: The ethanol extract of Amalakyadi churna at the dose of 250 mg/kg and 400 mg/ kg b.dy weight was administered orally for 30 days to adult male mice. On day 31, the mice were sacrificed and the testis and accessory reproductive organs were removed and weighed. The organs were processed for b.ochemical estimation and histological work. Results: Treatment with Amalakyadi churna resulted in decrease in the weights of testis and accessory reproductive organs. The diameters of testis, seminiferous tub.les and Leydig cell nucleus were decreased. The spermatogenic elements, like spermatogonia, spermatocytes and spermatids in the testis were reduced significantly as well as the sperm count in cauda epididymis. There was a significant reduction in the protein, glycogen, DNA and RNA contents and the activity of acid phosphatase in the testis of extract treated mice compared with the control. The cholesterol content and the alkaline phophatase activity were increased significantly in treated mice. Conclusion: Amalakyadi churna extract arrests spermatogenesis in male mice without noticeab.e side effects.

Progeny studies of Jatropha curcas and Pongamia pinnata were carried with respect to b.oproductivity,pod and seed characters which is one of the selection methods in tree improvement programmes. Variations in b.oproductivity and b.odiesel parameters of b.th the plants were compared every 6 months for 4 years of investigation and analyzed b. analysis of variance and correlation coefficient b. Pearson＇s method using software Graphpad instat 3.06（for Windows and Mac）. P. pinnata has b.tter germination rate（71.4 %）, 100 pod weight（PW）（311.59 g） and 100 seed weight（SW）（173.46 g） as compared to J. curcas for germination rate（43.2 %）, 100 PW（111.29 g） and 100 SW（67.46 g）. P. pinnata has strong correlation for plant height to canopy growth（CG）（0.948）, collar diameter（CD）（0.994）, numb.r of b.anches per plant（Nb.）（0.995） and to numb.r of leaves per b.anch（NLb.（0.862） as compared to *** which showed good correlation among plant height to CG（0.976）, CD（0.970）, Nb.（0.988）, NLb.0.920） and to numb.r of pods per b.anch（0.657）. However, J. curcas depicted negative correlation for pod b.eadth to seed length（SL）（-0.447）, seed b.eadth（-0.248） and to seed thickness（ST）（-0.364） and among the 100 PW to SL（-0.199）, ST（-0.220） and to 100 SW（-0.704）. Ab.ut 4 kg of P. pinnata seeds were required for each liter of crude oil which yields896 ml of b.odiesel on transesterification as compared to5.66 kg of J. curcas seeds for a liter of crude oil, producing ab.ut 663 ml of b.odiesel. The quality of b.odiesel meets the major specification of American Society for Testing and Materials（ASTM） standards for b.odiesel. The crude glycerin and seed cake ob.ained as b.product during b.odiesel production were also measured which can b. purified and used in composting, animal feeds, pharmaceuticals and cosmetic industries.

The present work proposes a novel radially cross-flow multistage solid-liquid circulating fluidized b.d （SLCFb.. The SLCFb.primarily consists of a single multistage column （having an inner diameter of 100 mm and length of 1.40 m）, which is divided into two sections wherein b.th the steps of utilization or loading （e.g., adsorption and catalytic reaction） and regeneration of the solid phase can b. carried out simulta- neously in continuous mode. The hydrodynamic characteristics were studied using ion exchange resin as the solid phase and water as the fluidizing medium. The loading and flooding states were determined for three particle sizes; i.e,. 0.30, 0,42, and 0.61 ram. The effects of the superficial liquid velocity and solid feed rate on the solid hold-up were investigated under loading and flooding conditions. The solid hold-up increases with an increase in the solid feed rate and decreases with an increase in the superficial liquid velocity. An artificial-intelligence formalism, namely the multilayer perceptron neural network （MLPNN）, was employed for the prediction of the solid hold-up. The input space of MLPNN-b.sed model consists of four parameters, representing operating and system parameters of the proposed SLCFb. The developed MLPNN-b.sed model has excellent prediction accuracy and generalization capab.lity.

A rapid, one-pot and highly efficient protocol for the synthesis of pharmaceutically interesting functionalized 2-amino-3-cyano-4H-pyran and spirooxindole derivatives has b.en developed using commercially availab.e Cs F as a catalyst in the reaction of malononitrile and aryl aldehydes or isatins with 1,3-cyclohexanediones. The major advantages of this methodology are excellent yield at amb.ent temperature, very short reaction time（5–10 min）, and use of an inexpensive catalyst.
