Familial dysautonomia(FD), a he.e.itary se.sory and autonomic ne.ropathy, is cause. by a mutation in the.e.ongator comple. prote.n 1(e.P1) ge.e.that le.ds to a tissue.spe.ific re.uction of e.P1 prote.n. Our work to ge.e.ate.a phe.otypic mouse.mode. for FD he.de. to the.discove.y that homozygous de.e.ion of the.mouse.e.p1 ge.e.le.ds to e.bryonic le.hality prior to mid-ge.tation. Give. that FD is cause. by a re.uction, not loss, of e.P1, we.ge.e.ate. two ne. mouse.mode.s by introducing diffe.e.t copy numbe.s of the.human FD e.P1 transge.e.into the.e.p1 knockout mouse.e.p1) and obse.ve. that human e.P1 e.pre.sion re.cue. e.bryonic de.e.opme.t in a dose.de.e.de.t manne.. We.the. conducte. a compre.e.sive.transcriptome.analysis in mouse.e.bryos to ide.tify ge.e. and pathways whose.e.pre.sion corre.ate. with the.amount of e.P1.
