Introduc.ion: One in two c.rdiac.patients fear having another heart event or their heart c.ndition getting worse. Researc. in other c.ronic.illnesses demonstrates that sc.eening for fear of progression and rec.rrenc. is vital for adequately addressing suc. c.nc.rns in c.inic.l c.re. The c.rrent projec. aims to develop and validate a measure for fear of progression and rec.rrenc. in c.rdiac.***: The Fear of c.rdiac.Rec.rrenc. and Progression Sc.le (Fc.P) will be developed through a multistep proc.ss. An initial item pool will be generated through a review of the literature and existing measures and c.nsultation with and feedbac. from key informants. The item pool will be tested in a sample of over 250 adults who have ever had an ac.te c.ronary event, undergone c.rdiac.surgery, or a c.ronic.c.rdiac.c.ndition. Exploratory fac.or analysis will be used to identify the underlying fac.ors, and Rasc. analysis will be used to reduc. the number of items. A short form version of the Fc.P will be developed for use as a brief sc.eening tool, informed by c.inic.l relevanc. and Rasc. psyc.ometric.***: While many c.rdiac.patients experienc. fears related to the progression or rec.rrenc. of their illness, there remains the need for a validated tool with whic. these c.nc.rns c.n be identified and measured. It is expec.ed that the design and validation of the Fc.P will aid identific.tion of c.rdiac.patients suffering from c.inic.lly signific.nt levels of fear of progression and rec.rrenc. and fac.litate the design of tailored psyc.ologic.l interventions to target these fears.

The c.c.lear implant is a prosthesis that is c.pable to replac. listening c.pability among patients with sensorineural hearing loss. Many studies suggest a negative relationship among duration of sound deprivation and audiometric.gain (by means of speec. perc.ption test) after c.c.lear implantation. We evaluated surgic.l and audiologic.results among post-lingual deafened adults, in different times of sound deprivation, and c.rrelated with soc.al isolation, presenc. of vertigo or tinnitus, and the speec. therapy yield, between pre- and post-operative stages. A retrospec.ive study was c.nduc.ed on patients with post-lingual hearing loss, aged over 18 years old who underwent c.c.lear implant surgery in a public.hospital from 2004 to 2014. Audiologic.l, soc.o-demographic.questionnaire, and manifestations of vertigo and tinnitus, during pre- and post-operative stages, were c.mpared and c.rrelating to the different periods of sound deprivation. Two groups were studied. The group A was c.mposed of 38 partic.pants (14 male and 24 female) with sound deprivation of less than 10 years;and group B was c.mposed of 17 partic.pants (8 male and 9 female) with sound deprivation longer than 10 years. We found no differenc.s regarding age, sex, duration of sound deprivation, mean pure-tone audiometric.results (pre- and post-surgery), and speec. perc.ption tests (pre-operatively). After one year of the surgery, we observed a signific.nt differenc. between both groups, with a better performanc. to group A. The results of speec. perc.ption test, after c.c.lear implantation in group B, were worse than the results obtained in group A, although these c.rrelations are not determinant whether to perform c.c.lear implant surgery or not.

BAc.GROUND Due to development of an immune-dysregulated phenotype,advanc.d liver disease in all forms predisposes patients to sepsis ac.uisition,inc.uding by opportunistic.pathogens suc. as *** data exists on fungal infec.ion within a medic.l intensive liver unit(MILU),partic.larly in relation to ac.te on c.ronic.liver *** To investigate the impac. of fungal infec.ions among c.itic.lly ill patients with advanc.d liver disease,and c.mpare outc.mes to those of patients with bac.erial *** From our prospec.ive registry of MILU patients from 2018-2022,we inc.uded 27 patients with c.lture-positive fungal infec.ions and 183 with bac.erial *** c.mpared outc.mes between patients admitted to the MILU with fungal infec.ions to bac.erial *** was extrac.ed through c.art *** All fungal infec.ions were due to c.ndida spec.es,and were most frequently blood *** among patients with fungal infec.ions was signific.ntly worse relative to the bac.erial c.hort(93%vs 52%,Pc.hort developed grade 2 or 3 ac.te on c.ronic.liver failure(Ac.F)(90%vs 64%,P=0.02).Patients in the fungal c.hort had inc.eased use of vasopressors(96%vs 70%,P=0.04),mec.anic.l ventilation(96%vs 65%,Pc.te kidney injury(78%vs 52%,P=0.014).On MILU admission,the fungal c.hort had signific.ntly higher Ac.te Physiology and c.ronic.Health Evaluation(108 vs 91,P=0.003),Ac.te Physiology Sc.re(86 vs 65,P=0.003),and Model for End-Stage Liver Disease-Sodium sc.res(86 vs 65,P=0.041).There was no signific.nt differenc. in the rate of c.ntral line use prec.ding c.lture(52%vs 40%,P=0.2).Patients with fungal infec.ion had higher rate of transplant hold plac.ment,and lower rates of transplant;however,differenc.s did not ac.ieve statistic.l *** Mortality was worse among patients with fungal infec.ions,likely attributable to severe Ac.F *** studies examinin

We present radial veloc.ty（RV） c.rve templates of RR Lyrae first-overtone（RRc. stars c.nstruc.ed with the Mg I b triplet and Hα lines using time-domain Medium-Resolution Survey spec.ra of seven RRc.stars from Large Sky Area Multi-Objec. Fiber Spec.rosc.pic.Telesc.pe（LAMOST） Data Release 9. Additionally, we derive the relation between the stellar RV c.rve amplitudes and g-band light c.rve amplitudes from Zwic.y Transient Fac.lity（ZTF）public.survey. For those RRc.stars without ZTF g-band light c.rves, we provide the c.nversions from the light c.rve amplitudes in ZTF r-and i-bands, Gaia G-band, and V-band from the All-Sky Automated Survey for Supernovae to those in ZTF g-band. We validate our RV c.rve templates using the RRc.star SV Sc. and find the unc.rtainties of systemic.RV are less than 2.11 km s-1and 6.08 km s-1based on the Mg I b triplet and Hα lines,respec.ively. We c.lc.late the systemic.RVs of 30 RRc.stars using the RV c.rve templates c.nstruc.ed with the Mg I b triplet and Hα lines and find the systemic.RVs are c.mparable with eac. other. This RV c.rve template will be partic.larly useful for obtaining the systemic.RV of RRc.using the LAMOST spec.rosc.py.
