Background To identify the prevalence and also the full spectrum of symptoms/complaints of children and adolescents who are suffering from long ***,we investigated the risk factors of long COVID in children and *** All consecutive children and adolescents who were referred to the hospitals anywhere in Fars province,Iran,from 19 February 2020 until 20 November 2020 were *** patients had a confirmed diagnosis of *** *** call to patients/parents,at least 3 months after their discharge from the hospital,we obtained their current status and information if their parents agreed to *** In total,58 children and adolescents fulillel the inclusion ***-six(448%)children/adolescents reported symptoms/complaints of long *** symptoms included fatigue in 12(21%),shortness of breath in 7(12%),exer-cise intolerance in 7(12%),weakness in 6(10%),and walking intolerance in 5(9%)*** age,muscle pain on admission,and intensive care unit admission were significantly associated with long *** Long COVID is a frequent condition in children and *** scientific community should inves-tigate and explore the pathophysiology of long COVID to ensure that these patients receive appropriate treatments for their condition.

Ghost Haemoglobin Affecting the Efficacy of Phototherapy

Introduction: Phototherapy is the treatment of choice for neonatal hyperbilirubinemia. It converts the unconjugated bilirubin from polar and neurotoxic Z-Z-bilirubin to the more polar photobilirubin. It has been hypothesized that high level of hemoglobin or hematocrit interferes in the effectiveness of phototherapy. The objective of the current study is to find out the association of hemoglobin/hematocrit to change in total serum bilirubin concentration during phototherapy. Methods: A prospective cohort study was conducted on 296 neonates with uncomplicated hyperbilirubinemia. Before initiating the phototherapy, hemoglobin, hematocrit and total serum bilirubin levels were measured. After treating the neonates with phototherapy using LED-light for 24 hours, the total serum bilirubin level was measured again. The data were analyzed by using SPSS version-20. Results: The majority of study participants were male (60.8%), with mean postnatal age of 4.66 ±1.65, having mean birth weight of 2.41 ±0.41. Considering Pearson correlation, the hemoglobin had a significant inverse association with ΔTsB0-24 while birth weight and postnatal age also had inverse association but p-values were non-significant, while TsB0 had presented a very weak but significant positive association. The results might be evident of the fact that increase in hemoglobin concentration results in minimal change in total serum bilirubin concentration during phototherapy. Conclusion: Current study found a significant effect of hemoglobin on efficacy of phototherapy, as the change in total serum bilirubin concentration is inversely correlated with the level of hemoglobin. This is important for the physician in treating neonates with hyperbilirubinemia by using phototherapy.

Genetic Relationship of Minerals and Carbonate Units of Stratigraphy Sequence in the Ahmadabad Deposit (NE of Bafq) Using Data Related to Rare Earth Elements

Ahmadabad Pb-Zn ore deposit is located in the mineral area of Bahabad in Central Iran Zone. This ore deposit like other metallogenic areas in Bahabad is found in Triassic carbonate rocks. Carbonate rocks in Shotori formation have the highest frequency in the regional sequence stratigraphy. This formation is composed of TRSh1, TRSh2, TRSh3 and TRSh4 units. The TRSh3 unit hosts minerals in ore deposit Ahmadabad. Microcrystalline particles are the main constituent of these rocks. The most important minerals in this ore deposit include calamine Celestine, Cerussite and Wulfenite. The comparison of normalized ore patterns and carbonate sequence indicates that they have a specified genetic relationship. Here the TRSh2 unit is more similar to minerals.

Latent Growth Mixture Modeling to Estimate Differential PTSD Trajectories and Associated Risk Factors in Psychiatric Staff Following Workplace Violence

Background: Workplace violence (WV) towards psychiatric staff has commonly been associated with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). However, prospective studies have shown that not all psychiatric staff who experience workplace violence experience post-traumatic stress. Purpose: We want to examine the longitudinal trajectories of PTSD in this population to identify possible subgroups that might be more at risk. Furthermore, we need to investigate whether certain risk factors of PTSD might identify membership in the subgroups. Method: In a sample of psychiatric staff from 18 psychiatric wards in Denmark who had reported an incident of WV, we used Latent Growth Mixture Modelling (LGMM) and further logistic regression analysis to investigate this. Results: We found three separate PTSD trajectories: a recovering, a delayed-onset, and a moderate-stable trajectory. Higher social support and negative cognitive appraisals about oneself, the world and self-blame predicted membership in the delayed-onset trajectory, while higher social support and lower accept coping predicted membership in the delayed-onset trajectory. Conclusion: Although most psychiatric staff go through a natural recovery, it is important to be aware of and identify staff members who might be struggling long-term. More focus on the factors that might predict these groups should be an important task for psychiatric departments to prevent posttraumatic symptomatology from work.

Slaughterhouse workers(SHW) are at increased risk of hepatitis which can occur due to different organisms and should be investigated for viral, bacterial, and parasitic organisms. Slaughter house personnel including butchers are at a higher risk of infections from cuts and blood-letting, with the possible risk of the transmission of blood-borne pathogens to their colleagues. The objective of this review is to evaluate the common etiologies of hepatitis in SHW which will assist in the assessment of these patients presenting with transaminitis. Types of Microorganisms causing hepatitis with their reservoirs, routes of transmission,laboratory diagnosis, clinical features, treatment options and preventive strategies are included in this review. Proper investigation and awareness is of utmost importance as it causes significant financial constraints derived from workers health cost and from livestock production losses when the disease is confirmed. The work up is essential because infected workers might be a source of infections to other colleagues, family and the consumers.

Three new anthraquinone derivatives isolated from Symplocos racemosa and their antibiofilm activity

Three new alkyl substituted anthraquinone derivatives, trivially named as symploquinones A-C(Compounds 1-3) were isolated from Symplocos racemosa. The structures of these compounds were determined on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analyses(UV, IR, Mass, ~1 H-and ^(13)C-NMR, and two-dimensional(2D) NMR techniques). The resulting data were also compared with the reported literature. These compounds were then subjected to antibacterial or antibiofilm testing. Compounds 1 and 3 exhibited good antibacterial activity in the concentration range of 160-83 μg·m L^(-1) against Streptococcus mutans, methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus and Proteus mirabilis. Both compounds were further screened for anti-biofilm activity, which revealed promising activities at sub-MIC concentrations. None of the compounds were found to be active against Klebsiella pneumoniae.

More than 40%of HIV infections occur via female reproductive tract(FRT)through heterosexual *** cells that line the female genital mucosa are the first line of defense against HIV-1 and other sexually transmitted *** sentient cells recognize and respond to external stimuli by induction of a range of carefully balanced innate immune ***,we have shown that in response to HIV-1 gp120,the genital epithelial cells(GECs)from upper reproductive tract induce an inflammatory response that may facilitate HIV-1 translocation and *** this study,we report that the endometrial and endocervical GECs simultaneously induce biologically active interferon-β(IFNβ)antiviral responses following exposure to HIV-1 that act to protect the epithelial tight junction *** innate antiviral response was directly induced by HIV-1 envelope glycoprotein gp120 and addition of gp120 neutralizing antibody inhibited IFNβ***-βwas induced by gp120 in upper GECs through Toll-like receptor 2 signaling and required presence of heparan sulfate on epithelial cell *** induction of IFNβwas dependent upon activation of transcription factor IRF3(interferon regulatory factor 3).The IFNβwas biologically active,had a protective effect on epithelial tight junction barrier and was able to inhibit HIV-1 infection in TZM-bl indicator cells and HIV-1 replication in T *** is the first report that recognition of HIV-1 by upper GECs leads to induction of innate antiviral *** could explain the overall low infectivity of HIV-1 in the FRT and could be exploited for HIV-1 prophylaxis.

Nowadays,the non-hydrocarbon gases are the main sources for gas injection projects in different *** main advantages of the flue gas injection are low cost,readily available sources(which consists mainly of N2 and CO2)and low compressibility in comparison with other gases like CO2 or CH4(for a given volume at the same conditions).In addition,it occupies more space in the reservoir and it is an appropriate way for CO2 sequestering and consequently reducing greenhouse *** the aforementioned method,N2 and/or CO2 is injected into the oil reservoir for miscible and/or immiscible displacement of remaining ***,a key parameter in the designing of a gas injection project is the minimum miscibility pressure(MMP)which is commonly calculated by running simulation case or implementing conventional *** technical viewpoints,the lower MMP values are more flavor for miscible gas injection process due to lower injection pressure and consequently lower maintenance and lower injection *** main aim of this research is to investigate various gas injection methods(N2,CO2,produced reservoir gas,and flue gas)in one of the northern Persian gulf oil fields by a numerical simulation ***,for each scenario of gas injection technical and economical considerations are took into ***,an economic analysis is implemented to compare the net present value(NPV)of the different gas injection scenarios in the aforementioned oil field.

The Effect of Chlorine Dioxide Charges in Chlorine Dioxide-Alkaline Extraction-Chlorine Dioxide （DED） Sequence on Optical Properties of Kraft Pulp of Eucalyptus camaldulensis

Hardwoods are important raw material for making pulp and paper products. Eucalyptus camaldulensis is a fast-growing hardwood species with a wide distribution in Iran and can be introduced as appropriatematerial to compensate the wood shortages of the natural forest. Kraft pulping was performed under different cooking conditions and, based on the relations of pulp yield and kappa number, bleachable kraft pulp at screened yield of 43.3% and kappa number of 31.3 was selected for DED （Chlorine Dioxide-Alkaline Extraction-Chlorine Dioxide） bleaching and its bleachability was studied at different kappa factor in D~ stage. The results indicated that the bleachable kraft pulp from this species has high kappa number at acceptable screened yield and to complete the delignification in the bleaching process, higher kappa factor may be needed in DED bleaching sequence. The main reduction in final kappa number and yield loss were observed at kappa factor level of 0.2 but by further increase in kappa factor up to 0.4, more development were observed in optical properties but at lower opacity.
