MXenes have attracted increasing attention because of their rich surface functional groups,high electrical conductivity,and outstanding dispersibility in many solvents,and have demonstrated competitive efficiency in energy storage and conversion ***,the restacking nature of MXene nanosheets like other two-dimensional(2D)materials through van der Waals forces results in sluggish ionic kinetics,restricted number of active sites,and ultimate deterioration of MXene mate-rial/device *** strategy of raising 2D MXenes into three-dimensional(3D)structures has been considered an efficient way for reducing restacking,providing greater porosity,higher surface area,and shorter distances for mass transport of ions,surpassing standard one-dimensional(1D)and 2D *** multivalent ion batteries,the positive multivalent ions combine with two or more electrons at the same time,so their capacities are two or three times that of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)under the same conditions,e.g.,a magnesium ion battery has a high theoretical specific capacity of 2205 mAh g^(−1)and a high volumetric capacity of 3833 mAh cm^(−3).In this review,we summarize the most recent strategies for fabricating 3D MXene architectures,such as assembly,template,3D printing,electrospinning,aerogel,and gas foaming *** consideration has been given to the applications of highly porous 3D MXenes in energy storage devices beyond LIBs,such as sodium ion batteries(SIBs),potassium ion batteries(KIBs),magnesium ion batteries(MIBs),zinc ion batteries(ZIBs),and aluminum ion batteries(AIBs).Finally,the authors provide a summary of the future opportunities and challenges for the construction of 3D MXenes and MXene-based electrodes for applications beyond LIBs.

Chest computed tomography findings of COVID-19 in children younger than 1 year: a systematic review

Background The aim of this systematic review is to evaluate the chest computed tomography(CT)findings in infants with confirmed COVID-19 infection by providing a comprehensive review of the existing *** sources A systematic search was conducted on PubMed and Embase from the onset of the COVID-19 outbreak to October 20,2020,for studies that discussed the chest CT findings in infants younger than 1 year with COVID-19 *** A total of 35 studies comprising 70 COVID-19(58.5% boys)confirmed infants were *** mean age of the included patients was 4.1 months with a range of 1 day to 12 *** CT scans showed bilateral abnormalities in 34 patients,and unilateral lung involvement in 25 ***-glass opacities(GGO)(71.43%)were found to be the most prevalent chest CT manifestation,followed by peribronchial thickening(60%),linear or band-shaped opacities(32.8%),consolidation(28.57%),nodule(18.57%),effusion(7.14%)and focal lucency(7.14%).Conclusions GGO and peribronchial thickening were the most prevalent findings in the infants’chest CT *** or band-shaped opacities,consolidation,and pulmonary nodules are more common in infants than in *** findings suggest that the disease is more likely to be presented as an atypical pneumonia(peribronchial thickening and linear or bandshaped opacities)in this age *** chest CT scan manifestations can be classified as typical COVID-19 infection(peripheral GGO),lobar pneumonia(consolidation)and opportunistic infections(pulmonary nodules).

Citrus fruit crops are among the world’s most important agricultural products,but pests and diseases impact their cultivation,resulting in yield and quality *** vision and machine learning have been widely used to detect and classify plant diseases over the last decade,allowing for early disease detection and improving agricultural *** paper presented an automatic system for the early detection and classification of citrus plant diseases based on a deep learning(DL)model,which improved accuracy while decreasing computational *** most recent transfer learning-based models were applied to the Citrus Plant Dataset to improve classification *** transfer learning,this study successfully proposed a Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)-based pre-trained model(EfficientNetB3,ResNet50,MobiNetV2,and InceptionV3)for the identification and categorization of citrus plant *** evaluate the architecture’s performance,this study discovered that transferring an EfficientNetb3 model resulted in the highest training,validating,and testing accuracies,which were 99.43%,99.48%,and 99.58%,*** identifying and categorizing citrus plant diseases,the proposed CNN model outperforms other cuttingedge CNN model architectures developed previously in the literature.

Wound healing potential of Althaea officinalis flower mucilage in rabbit full thickness wounds

Objective: To evaluate and practically demonstrate the in fluence of Althaea officinalis flower mucilage as a plant known in Iran's and other Middle Eastern countries' traditional medicine for its wound healing ***: Animals were divided into 6 groups of 5 cases including a non-treated group as the negative control group receiving no treatment, a group treated with eucerin as the positive control group, a phenytoin 1% group as a standard group treated topically with phenytoin 1% hand-made ointment, and treatment groups treated with hand-made Althaea officinalis flower mucilage(AFM) ointment in a eucerin base with different concentrations(5%, 10%, 15%).Results: Among the treatment groups, the AFM 15% ointment showed the best *** healing duration was reduced by the surface application of these groups. Wound closure was completed on Days 14 and 15 in the AFM 15% ointment and phenytoin 1%groups, respectively. No significant difference was observed in healing period between these ***: In conclusion, AFM 15% ointment was found to reduce wound healing time without any significant difference with the phenytoin 1% ointment. The authors suggest increased AFM effectiveness in when combined with phenytoin or other effectual plants.

Our overall knowledge of the medicinal uses of plants suggests that natural compounds could be useful in the treatment of cutaneous fungal infections in tropical regions. Furthermore, the possibilities of treatment using plant extracts may be even broader than is already known when one considers plants that have not been extensively studied in this context, such as the regional species Phoenix dactylifera and Ziziphus spina-christi. This study compared the antimicrobial activity of Phoenix dactylifera and Ziziphus spina-christi extracts in terms of their biochemical and molecular effects on Candida albicans (ATCC CA 10231). These effects included altered levels of intracellular sterols, changes in the permeability of the cell membrane, and changes in the TEF1: QRTTEF1, CaERG1: ERG1, CdERG12: CdERG1, and ERG25: ERG25 genes. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to identify morphological characteristics, and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDAX) analyses were conducted. In treated samples, the SEM and EDAX analyses showed cell cavities and shrinkage of the cell wall, and the number of cells was reduced to only a few abnormal cells as compared with that in the untreated samples. Yttrium was detected in the cells treated with Z. spina-christi, and high levels of osmium were detected in the cells treated with P. dactylifera. Compared with control cells, cells exposed to the concentration 150 μl/ml of Z. spina-christi extract had an average sterol concentration that was nearly 3 times higher, while the concentration was 5.5 times higher for cells treated with the 150 μl/ml of P. dactylifera extract. The ethanol extracts affected the permeability of C. albicans cell membrane. Gene sequencing showed gaps and mismatches in the ERG1, ERG12, and ERG25 genes after treatment with P. dactylifera and Z. spina-christi extracts compared with that in the controls.
