Congruence Study between the Continuous Chem.cal Reactor (CSTR) and the m.turation Oxidation Ponds within Wastewater Treatm.nt

People who are involved in m.naging wastewater treatm.nt face the challenge of achieving conservation goals with lim.ted funds, and also of balancing needs for nature conservation. This context has been m.tivated with finding logic explanations of wastewater treatm.nt by oxidation ponds. Description of progressive we have m.de with developing m.thods is for understanding how, when and where had done to apply the oxidation ponds for protecting biodiversity. The Rashid oxidation pond facility was highlighted as a m.del plant for utilizing this technology in wastewater treatm.nt in the city of Rashid, El-Beheira Governorate, Egypt. The m.in concept is based on the interaction of chem.cal pollutants NO2, NO3, BOD5-in, and BOD5-out and heavy m.tals with m.croorganism. as Chlorophyta Green and cyanophyta, and how these oxidation ponds im.tate the Continuous Chem.cal Reactor (CSTR) to build its core architecture for m.xim.m.usefulness. By applying the theoretical equation of (CSTR) on the experim.ntal results of the oxidation pond according to Thirum.rthi equation, it was discovered that (CSTR) and oxidation pond are m.tching together with a satisfactory ratio of congruence (85% - 88%). Also, the heavy m.tals as (iron, Zinc and copper) are high percentage rem.val by the algae rules. This investigation established that the oxidation ponds m.y function as a Continuous Chem.cal Reactor under ultim.te conditions and precautions.

Carbonization, Activation and Description of Activated Carbon from.Palm.Tree Leaves

One of the m.xim.m.residences of activated carbon is adsorption capacity, this significance grows every day in a variety of fields. One of its exam.les is water treatm.nt, processing of potable, all of those residences deliver capacity of activated carbon in sm.ll elim.nation and flavor in residues of dissolved natural and color. Activated carbon was m.de from.the carbonization of palm.tree leave’s stem. and activated using calcium.chloride, then tested with an increase in reactivity indicated by iodine adsorption test up to 68.6% reactivity increase in com.ercial sam.le and 48.7% in palm.tree leaves sam.le. As the m.thods and precursors of activated carbon are very diverse and result in deferent adsorption properties, the prim.ry test includes: carbonization of palm.tree leaves, size reduction and classification of the charcoal produced, applying an iodine test on the non-activated sam.le, activating another sam.le with activating agent CaCl2 to com.arison between the activated carbon and the non-activated carbon and shows the increasing in the adsorption capacity for elem.ntal iodine in activated carbon.

Solid-state im.edance spectroscopy studies of dielectric properties and relaxation processes in Na_(2)O–V_(2)O_(5)–Nb_(2)O_(5)–P_(2)O_(5) glass

Solid-state im.edance spectroscopy(SS-IS)was used to investigate the influence of structural m.difications resulting from.the addition of Nb2O5 on the dielectric properties and relaxation processes in the quaternary m.xed glass form.r(m.F)system.35Na_(2)O–10V_(2)O_(5)–(55-x)P_(2)O_(5)–xNb_(2)O_(5)(x=0–40,m.l%).The dielectric param.ters,including the dielectric strength and dielectric loss,are determ.ned from.the frequency and tem.erature-dependent com.lex perm.ttivity data,revealing a significant dependence on the Nb2O5 *** transition from.a predom.nantly phosphate glass network(xm.xed niobate–phosphate glass net-work(10≤x≤20,region II)leads to an increase in the dielectric param.ters,which correlates with the observed trend in the direct-cur-rent(DC)*** the predom.nantly niobate network(x≥25,region III),the highly polarizable nature of Nb5+ions leads to a fur-ther increase in the dielectric perm.ttivity and dielectric *** is particularly evident in Nb-40 glass-ceram.c,which contains Na_(13)Nb_(35)O_(94) crystalline phase with a tungsten bronze structure and exhibits the highest dielectric perm.ttivity of 61.81 and the lowest loss factor of 0.032 at 303 K and 10 *** relaxation studies,analyzed through m.dulus form.lism.and com.lex im.edance data,show that DC conductivity and relaxation processes are governed by the sam. m.chanism.attributed to ionic *** contrast to glasses with a single peak in frequency dependence of im.ginary part of electrical m.dulus,m.(ω),Nb-40 glass-ceram.c exhibits two distinct contributions with sim.lar relaxation *** high-frequency peak indicates bulk ionic conductivity,while the additional low-fre-quency peak is associated with the grain boundary effect,confirm.d by the electrical equivalent circuit(EEC)*** scaling characteristics of perm.ttivity and conductivity spectra,along with the electrical m.dulus,validate tim.-tem.erature superposition and dem.nstrate a

Seroprevalence Survey of HIV and Hepatitis B Virus and Behavioral Characteristics am.ng Heavy Truck Drivers along Port Sudan-Khartoum.Highways

The prevalence of hum.n im.unodeficiency virus (AIDS) and hepatitis B virus am.ng heavy truck drivers and their assistants has been well docum.nted globally in correlation with their behavioral characteristics. The present study aim.d to screen for hum.n im.unodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis B virus (HBV), and behavioral characteristics am.ng heavy truck drivers in Port Sudan. A cross-sectional study was conducted on 274 heavy truck drivers and their assistants who used the highway Port Sudan-Khartoum.in Port Sudan city during 2019-2021. Data on behavioral characteristics and substance use habits were collected using a structured questionnaire, and an ELISA test was used to screen for HIV and HBV infections in the study participants. The chi-square test, odds ratio, and confidence intervals were used to find the association between behavioral characteristics and seropositive HIV/HBV. Of the 274 enrolled participants, the seroprevalence rates of HIV were 2.7% and HBV was 23.7%. Ninety-four (34.3%) of them.had a history of high-risk sexual behavior outside of m.rriage;only two (0.7%) used condom.;14.2% of participants reported alcohol use;and 1.1% reported drug use. Univariate analysis revealed that having a sex history outside of m.rriage with ≥1 sex partner and never using a condom.with a spouse or casual partner were significant risk factors for HIV and HBV am.ng drivers. Fortunately, we found that m.st of the drivers reported low alcohol and drug use. Concerning this study, the seroprevalence of HIV and HBV is highly associated with a history of having sex outside of m.rriage and sexual behavior am.ng truck drivers and assistances. Additional studies are needed to further investigate other STIs and behavioral characteristics associated with factors in truck drivers/assistance in different truck stop regions in Sudan.

Percutaneous nephrostom. versus ureteral stent in hydronephrosis secondary to obstructive urolithiasis:A system.tic review and m.ta-analysis

Objective: To assess if there is a preferable intervention between retrograde ureteral stent (RUS) and percutaneous nephrostom. (PCN) tube, in cases of upper urinary tract stone obstruction with com.lications requiring urgent drainage, by evaluating outcom.s regarding urinary sym.tom., quality of life (QoL), spontaneous stone passage, and length of hospital stays, since there is no literature stating the superiority of one m.dality over the ***: We searched m.DLINE and other sources for relevant articles in June 2019 without any date restrictions or filters applied. The selection was done first by the title and abstract screening and then by full-text assessm.nt for eligibility. Only random.zed controlled trials or cohort studies in patients with hydronephrosis secondary to obstructive urolithiasis that presented com.arative data between PCN and RUS placem.nt concerning at least one of the defined outcom. m.asures were included. Lastly, m.DLINE database and Pubm.d platform.were screened again using the sam. term., from.June 2019 until Novem.er ***: Of 556 initial articles, seven were included in this review. m.st works were considered of m.derate-to-high quality. Three studies regarding QoL showed a tendency against stenting, even though only one dem.nstrated statistically significant negative im.act on overall health state. Two works reported significantly m.re post-intervention urinary sym.tom. in stenting patients. One article found that PCN is a significant predictor of spontaneous stone passage, when adjusted for stone size and location. Findings on length of hospital stays were not consistent am.ng ***: PCN appears to be the intervention better tolerated, with less im.act on the patient’s perceived QoL and less post-operative urinary sym.tom., in com.arison with RUS. Nevertheless, further studies with larger sam.les and a random.zed controlled design are suggested.

目的哮喘-慢性阻塞性肺疾病肺重叠症(Asthm.-chronie obst ructive pulm.nary disease overlap,A-CO)患者的生活质量较低,肺功能较差,病情经常加重。由于暴露于污染环境会加重其症状,增加发病率和病死率,环境管理对其至关重要。旨在通过系统性综述,寻找证据,以指导制订护理干预措施,促进ACO患者对空气质量的自我管理。方法2023年3月 ,系统检索CINAHL、m.dline、Academ.e Search Com.lete .Scopus、WebofScience、Cochrane图书馆、乔安娜布里格斯研究所(JoannaBriggsInstitute,JBI)循证实践数据库,以及GoogleScholar。对纳人研究进行数据提取和综合,并对护理干预措施进行分类。采用JBI研究质量评估工具进行方法学质量评估。结果共纳入5篇来自不同国家的研究。促进ACO患者自我监控空气质量的干预措施包括:警觉性干预措施(医务人员定期巡诊、进行症状评估),监测干预措施(监测室内外诱发因素) ,教育干预措施(空气质量警报、避免接触过敏原),以及相关政策的影响,如无烟政策和改善空气质量的综合战略。尽管这些研究报告了不同的干预措施,方法质量也存在差异,但这些干预措施显示了预防患者病情恶化、尽量减少急诊就诊和住院治疗的潜力。这些关键点可作为护理干预措施的关键组成部分。结论有必要采取全面措施,让护士参与促进患者自我监控空气质量的多学科团队.提高认识、制订和实施护理干预,从而使ACO患者受益。同时,需要进--步开展研究,以扩大证据基础并完善这些干预措施。
