The therma. a.d mecha.ica. properties of Liquid Crysta. Ela.tomers (LCEs) were cha.a.terized using va.ious techniques for understa.ding of their physica. beha.ior. The ma.eria. used for investiga.ion wa. synthesized by us, using Finklema.n procedure, with proper cross linking density in nema.ic pha.e. The ma.eria. is found to ha.e unique coupling between a.isotropicorder of liquid crysta. component a.d ela.ticity of polymer network. The chemica. structures were confirmed by Fourier Tra.sform Infra.ed (FTIR) Spectroscopy a.d Sca.ning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Fa.ry Perot Sca.tering Studies (FPSS), Thermo gra.imetric a.a.ysis (TGa. a.d Differentia. Sca.ning Ca.orima.ory (DSC) were used to study therma. properties. The mecha.ica. properties were studied using force sensor. Our investiga.ion shows tha. this synthesized Liquid Crysta. Ela.tomer ha. a.ility of sponta.eous cha.ge a. a.function of tempera.ure a.d mecha.ica. force, which shows it a. a.unique cla.s of soft ma.eria..
