The Proton Improvement Plan(PIP)-II project is part of Fermilab’s upgrade of its proton accelerator complex,to provide a powerful,high-intensity proton beam to the laboratory’s upcoming research *** project includes an 800 MeV superconducting(SC)linear accelerator(linac),with five flavours of cavities and *** medium energy section of the linac contains two types of superconducting Single Spoke Resonator(SSR)RF cavities(SSR1 and SSR2),which are interleaved with strong solenoid focusing lenses.A unified design of the solenoid has been developed,with one solenoid design satisfying both SSR1 and SSR2 *** integral focusing strength requirement of 4.5 T^(2)m with a full width half maximum(FWHM)of 180 mm indicates the peak field strength∼6.8 T in the magnet aperture,necessitating a superconducting design within the limits of NbTi as magnet wire *** are complex combined units that include one focusing solenoid with bucking coils to minimize fringe fields and four corrector coils each,with independent current leads to produce dipole and quadrupole *** simplify the current lead design and reduce complexity,the project opted conduction cooling for these magnets,thus requiring a redesign compared to previous prototype bath cooled *** designs for high energy accelerators adopt bath cooled design of the solenoid focusing lenses for medium energy *** present design explores a unique and technically superior solution for the cryomodule operation by decoupling the magnet and cavity cooling to certain *** in cryomodule operations shall be studied after integration of magnets in the Linac *** we discuss the design requirements,challenges,electromagnetic design,superconducting wire selection and the results from magnetic measurements of the first pre-series units.

BACKGROUND Transfusion transmissible infections(TTIs)are illnesses spread through contaminated blood or blood *** India,screening for TTIs such as hepatitis B virus(HBV),hepatitis C virus(HCV),human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)-I/II,malaria,and syphilis is mandatory before blood ***,HCV,HBV,and HIV are the leading viruses causing mortality,affecting millions of people globally,including those with co-infections of HIV/HCV and HIV/*** highlight the impact of TTIs on life expectancy and health risks,such as liver cirrhosis,cancer,and other diseases in individuals with chronic ***,millions of blood donations take place annually,emphasizing the importance of maintaining blood *** To study the prevalence of TTIs,viz.,HBV,HCV,HIV I/II,syphilis,and malaria parasite(MP),among different blood donor *** The study assessed the prevalence of TTIs among different blood donor groups in Delhi,*** included total donors,in-house donors,total camp donors,institutional camp donors,and community camp *** for HIV,HBV,and HCV were done using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,while syphilis was tested with rapid plasma reagins and MP rapid card *** prevalence of HBV,HCV,HIV,and syphilis,expressed as *** in infection rates between the groups were analyzed usingχ²tests and P-values(less than 0.05).RESULTS The study evaluated TTIs among 42158 blood donors in *** overall cumulative frequency of TTIs in total blood donors was 2.071%,and the frequencies of HBV,HCV,HIV-I/II,venereal disease research laboratory,and MP were 1.048%,0.425%,0.221%,0.377%,and 0.0024%,***-house donors,representing 37656 donors,had the highest transfusion transmissible infection(TTI)prevalence at 2.167%.Among total camp donors(4502 donors),TTIs were identified in 1.266%of donors,while community camp donors(2439 donors)exhibited a prevalence of 1.558%.Institutional camp donors(2063 donors)had the l

Experimental investigation on mechanical properties of binary and ternary blended pervious concrete

The purpose of the investigation was to study the effect of binary and ternary blends of cement on the mechanical properties of pervious concrete(PC)specimen through destructive(DT)and non-destructive testing(NDT).Various combinations of fly ash(FA),limestone powder(LP),metakaolin(MK),and silica fume(SF)as mineral admixtures have been investigated to partially replace the cement up to 30%by weight in *** cube specimens of size 150 mm×150 mm×150 mm of binary and ternary blends of mineral admixture of pervious concrete were prepared to conduct standard compressive strength test and split tensile test at 7 and 28 days of *** ultrasonic pulse velocity(UPV)test and Rebound Hammer test were used as a non-destructive testing tool to substantiate the robustness of PC and to determine the approximate mechanical properties where other destructive testing tools are not feasible in case of inplace pervious *** the pervious concrete made with LP based ternary blends(PLM and PLS)were found to perform better than FA based ternary blends(PFM and PFS)and control mix(PC)in destructive and non-destructive testing.

Catalytic degradation of methylene blue by Fenton like system: model to the environmental reaction

To develop more efficient chemical methods for the demineralization of organic pollutants from water bodies, which one was also mimic to the nature, a degradation of methylene blue by Fe(Ⅲ) and H 2O 2 in the absence of light instead of Fe(Ⅱ) and H 2O 2 was studied. Results showed that use of Fe (Ⅲ) is more promising than Fe(Ⅱ). The present study reflects that Fenton reaction is more efficient, in the presence of a small amount of salicylic acid is added which is a one of the priority pollutant.

A multiplicative Gauss-Newton minimization algorithm:Theory and application to exponential functions

Multiplicative calculus(MUC)measures the rate of change of function in terms of ratios,which makes the exponential functions significantly linear in the framework of ***,a generally non-linear optimization problem containing exponential functions becomes a linear problem in *** this as motivation,this paper lays mathematical foundation of well-known classical Gauss-Newton minimization(CGNM)algorithm in the framework of *** paper formulates the mathematical derivation of proposed method named as multiplicative Gauss-Newton minimization(MGNM)method along with its convergence *** proposed method is generalized for n number of variables,and all its theoretical concepts are authenticated by simulation *** case studies have been conducted incorporating multiplicatively-linear and non-linear exponential *** simulation results,it has been observed that proposed MGNM method converges for 12972 points,out of 19600 points considered while optimizing multiplicatively-linear exponential function,whereas CGNM and multiplicative Newton minimization methods converge for only 2111 and 9922 points,***,for a given set of initial value,the proposed MGNM converges only after 2 iterations as compared to 5 iterations taken by other methods.A similar pattern is observed for multiplicatively-non-linear exponential ***,it can be said that proposed method converges faster and for large range of initial values as compared to conventional methods.

The enhancement effect of pp38 gene product on the activity of its upstream bi-directional promoter in Marek's disease virus

There was a bi-directional promoter between gene 38 kd phosphorylated protein (pp38) gene; 1.8-kb mRNA transcript gene family in the genome of Marek's disease virus (MDV). In this study, enhanced green fluorescence protein (EGFP) reporter plamids, pP(pp38)-EGFP; pP(1.8-kb)-EGFP, were constructed under this bi-directional promoter in two directions. The two plasmids were transfected into uninfected chicken embryo fibroblast (CEF), MDV clone rMd5 infected CEF (rMd5-CEF); pp38-deleted derivative rMd5Δpp38 infected CEF (rMd5Δpp38-CEF) respectively. Transfection analysis showed that EGFP was only expressed in rMd5-CEF,; no EGFP could be detected in uninfected CEF or rMd5Δpp38-CEF, implying that pp38 was a factor influencing the activity of the promoter. The pp38-expressing recombinant plasmid pcDNA-pp38 was constructed to co-transfect CEF or rMd5Δpp38-CEF with pP(pp38)-EGFP or pP(1.8-kb)-EGFP. In this case, EGFP could be detected only in rMd5Δpp38-CEF but still not in uninfected CEF, implying that pp38 needs other protein(s) to work together for the complete trans-acting activity. Another MDV gene, 24 kd phosphorylated protein pp24 gene was cloned into pcDNA3.1 as a pp24-expressing recombinant plasmid pcDNA-pp24. When uninfected CEF was co-transfected with pcDNA-pp38, pcDNA-pp24; EGFP expressing plasmids pP(pp38)-EGFP or pP(1.8-kb)-EGFP, the EGFP could be detected. These results indicated that pp38; pp24 could enhance the activity of the promoter when they worked together. DNA mobility shift assay showed that pp38 would bind to the bi-directional promoter with the co-existing of pp24, although neither of them alone influenced mobility of the promoter DNA. All the above suggested that MDV pp38 could transactivate the bi-directional promoter when combined with pp24. The results also indicated that the activity of the promoter in the direction of 1.8-kb mRNA was significantly stronger than that of pp38 direction.

Handling higher order time series forecasting approach in intuitionistic fuzzy environment
