As personal computers have been recently improved in performance,a multi-tasking of running several applications at the same time has been generalized. Since only one task space is provided for performing such tasks in the Windows operating system,a number of computer users feel *** this paper,we suggest a 3D Virtual Desktop System which can show a process of switching task spaces in 3D motion using DirectX. Our system aims to make up for the weak points in the Windows operating system,and to provide a computer user with more spaces for performing several tasks as well as the intuitive UI(User Interface),such as Compiz of Linux.

In recent years,the use of mobile devices such as smart phones,tablet PCs,*** rapidly *** case of these mobile devices,the storage space is limited due to their *** make up for the limited space of storage in mobile devices,several methods are being *** these,cloud storage service(CSS),one of cloud computing services,is an efficient solution to compensate such limited storage *** is a service of storing files to the storage and thus getting access to stored files through networks(Internet)at anytime,*** for the existing CSS,users store their personally important files in the cloud storage,not in their own *** may cause security problems such as the leaking of information from private files or the damaging to the ***,we propose a cloud storage system which can solve the security problem of CSS for mobile devices using the personal *** system is deigned to store and manage files through the direct communication between mobile devices and personal computer storages by using the software as a service(SaaS),one of computing services,instead of directly storing files into cloud storages.

Landslides are natural disasters which can pose a serious threat to human and property in many areas around the world. The Transient Rainfall Infiltration and Grid-based Regional Slope-stability (TRIGRS) model was used to investigate the rainfall-induced shallow landslides in a forested mountain region, Korea. Various input data for TRIGRS model include time-varying rainfall, topographic characteristics, soil depth, material strength, and hydraulic properties. A series of calculations were conducted in determining the slope stability over the Jangheung region in Korea during the storm occurred on August 6, 1998. The results show that TRIGRS model captured about 64.1% of landslides that were extracted from the IKONOS2 imageries. The model demonstrated how the factor of safety changed with time during a storm considering both the transient and spatial responses of pore water pressure in its slope stability calculation.

In plane micro-supercapacitors that are miniaturized energy storage components have attracted significant attention due to their high power densities for various ubiquitous and sustainable device systems as well as their facile integration on various flexible/wearable *** implement the micro-supercapacitors in various practical applications that can accompany solid state or gel electrolyte and flexible substrates,ions must be readily transported to electrodes for achieving high power ***,we show large enhancement in electrochemical properties of flexible,inplane micro-supercapacitor using sharp-edged interdigitated electrode design,which was simply fabricated through direct laser scribing *** sharp-edged electrodes allowed strong electric field to be induced at the corners of the electrode fingers which led to the greater accumulation of ions near the surface of electrode,significantly enhancing the energy storage performance of *** electric field-enhanced in-plane micro-supercapacitor showed the volumetric energy density of 1.52 Wh L^(−1)and the excellent cyclability with capacitive retention of 95.4%after 20000 *** further showed various practicability of our sharp-edged design in micro-supercapacitors by showing circuit applicability,mechanical stability,and air *** results present an important pathway for designing electrodes in various energy storage devices.
