Three pumpkin species Cucurbita maxima,***,and *** are commonly cultivated *** identify genome-wide SNPs in these cultivated pumpkin species,we collected 48 F1 cultivars consisting of 40 intraspecific hybrids(15 ***,18 ***,and 7 ***)and 8 interspecific hybrids(*** x ***).Genotyping by sequencing identified a total of 37,869 confident SNPs in this *** SNPs were filtered to generate a subset of 400 SNPs based on polymorphism and genome *** the 400 SNPs,288 were used to genotype an additional 188 accessions(94 F1 cultivars,50 breeding lines,and 44 landraces)with a SNP array-based *** polymorphisms were observed in 224 SNPs(78.0%)and were used to assess genetic variations between and within the four predefined populations in 223 cultivated pumpkin *** principal component analysis and UPGMA clustering found four major clusters representing three pumpkin species and interspecific *** genetic differentiation was supported by pairwise Fst and Nei’s genetic *** interspecific hybrids showed a higher level of genetic diversity relative to the other three *** the 224 SNPs,five subsets of 192,96,48,24,and 12 markers were evaluated for variety *** 192,96,and 48 marker sets identified 204(91.5%),190(85.2%),and 141(63.2%)of the 223 accessions,respectively,while other subsets showed<25%of variety identification *** SNP markers provide a molecular tool with many applications for genetics and breeding in cultivated pumpkin.

Clinical outcomes of self-expandable metal stents in palliation of malignant anastomotic strictures caused by recurrent gastric cancer

AIM： To examine the technical feasibility and clinical outcomes of the endoscopic insertion of a selfexpandable metal stent （SEMS） for the palliation of a malignant anastomotic stricture caused by recurrent gastric cancer. METHODS： The medical records of patients, who had obstructive symptoms caused by a malignant anastomotic stricture after gastric surgery and underwent endoscopic insertion of a SEMS from January 2001 to December 2007 at Kangnam St Mary＇s Hospital, were reviewed retrospectively. RESULTS： Twenty patients （15 male, mean age 63 years） were included. The operations were a total gastrectomy with esophagojejunostomy （n = 12）, subtotal gastrectomy with Billroth-Ⅰ reconstruction （n = 2） and subtotal gastrectomy with Billroth- Ⅱ reconstruction （n = 8）. The technical and clinical success rates were 100% and 70%, respectively. A small bowel or colon stricture was the reason for a lack of improvement in symptoms in 4 patients. Two of these patients showed improvement in symptoms after another stent was placed. Stent reobstruction caused by tumor ingrowth or overgrowth occurred in 3 patients （15%） within 1 mo after stenting. Stent migration occurred with a covered stent in 3 patients who underwent a subtotal gastrectomy with Billroth-Ⅱ reconstruction. Two cases of partial stent migration were easily treated with a second stent or stent repositioning. The median stent patency was 56 d （range, 5-439 d）. The median survival was 83 d （range, 12-439 d）. CONCLUSION： Endoscopic insertion of a SEMS provides safe and effective palliation of a recurrent anastomotic stricture caused by gastric cancer, A meticulous evaluation of the presence of other strictures before inserting the stent is essential for symptom improvement.

In photoelectrochemical （PEC） water splitting, charge separation and collection by the electric field in the photoactive material are the most important factors for improved conversion efficiency. Hence, ferroelectric oxides, in which electrons are the majority carriers, are considered promising photoanode materials because their high built-in potential, provided by their spontaneous polarization, can signifi＇canfly enhance the separation and drift of photogenerated carriers. In this regard, the PEC properties of BiFeO3 thin-film photoanodes with different crystallographic orientations and consequent ferroelectric domain structures are investigated. As the crystallographic orientation changes from （001）pc via （ll0）pc to （lll）p~, the ferroelastic domains in epitaxial BiFeO3 thin films become mono-variant and the spontaneous polarization levels increase to 110 btC/cm2. Consequent136 the photocurrent density at 0 V vs. Ag/AgC1 increases approximately 5.3-fold and the onset potential decreases by 0.180 V in the downward polarization state. It is further demonstrated that ferroelectric switching in the （lll）pc BiFeO3 thin-film photoanode leads to an approximate change of 8,000% in the photocurrent density and a 0.330 V shift in the onset potential. This study strongly suggests that domain-engineered ferroelectric materials can be used as effective charge separation and collection layers for efficient solar water-splitting photoanodes.

Compared with solid scintillators,liquid scintillators have limited capability in dosimetry and radiography due to their relatively low light ***,we report a new generation of highly efficient and low-cost liquid scintillators constructed by surface hybridisation of colloidal metal halide perovskite CsPbA_(3)(A:Cl,Br,I)nanocrystals(NCs)with organic molecules(2,5-diphenyloxazole).The hybrid liquid scintillators,compared to state-of-the-art CsI and Gd_(2)O_(2)S,demonstrate markedly highly competitive radioluminescence quantum yields under X-ray irradiation typically employed in diagnosis and *** and theoretical analyses suggest that the enhanced quantum yield is associated with X-ray photon-induced charge transfer from the organic molecules to the ***-resolution X-ray imaging is demonstrated using a hybrid CsPbBr_(3) NC-based liquid *** novel X-ray scintillation mechanism in our hybrid scintillators could be extended to enhance the quantum yield of various types of scintillators,enabling low-dose radiation detection in various fields,including fundamental science and imaging.

Objective: To classify four new Sparassis strains(CLM1, CKM1, CKM2, and KJM1) using the internal transcribed spacer sequence and to elucidate their β-glucan content and mycelial ***: Two different microbiological media were used to determine growth rate. The β-glucan contents were analyzed using the Megazyme Mushroom and Yeast Beta-Glucan kit. To determine the genetic relationships, phylogenetic trees were constructed using ClustalX. Multiple sequence alignments were printed and shaded with the BOXSHADE 3.21 program. Results: In this study, four new Sparassis strains were isolated from the southern region of the Korea Peninsula. They were all classified into the Sparassis latifolia clade as a monophyletic group based on the internal transcribed spacer sequence. Mycelial growth rate of the CLM1 strain was highest in potato dextrose agar and potato dextrose agar larch. The β-glucan content of the CLM1 strain was highest at 29.5%(w/w). A high degree of sequence divergence was detected in the RNA polymerase second largest subunit II gene(RPB2) within Sparassis spp. tested. The putative amino acid sequences of the RPB2 had a distinct sequence. The nucleotide sequences of the RPB2's intron were also divergent among Sparassis spp., even though their nucleotide length was well conserved within Sparassis latifolia. Conclusions: These results indicate that the nucleotide sequences and the amino acid sequences of RPB2 can be used to identify individual Sparassis sp. The Sparassis strain CLM1 may be best for developing a remedy to prevent or treat cancer and other chronic diseases.

The development of boceprevir and telaprevir was a major step forward in the treatment of chronic hepatitis *** addition,the treatment of these infections has been recently revolutionized by the approval of sofosbuvir and ***,there are several challenges associated with the application of noveldrugs,such as new and more frequent adverse events,new drug interactions,and excessively high treatment *** additional concern is viral *** considerations highlight the fact that direct-acting antiviral agents are not a panacea and may not be the best option for all patients who are in need of *** retrospective study revealed that the sustained virologic response was not significantly reduced following peginterferon and ribavirin retreatment compared with the new *** suggest that patients who experience relapse shortly after completing treatment with peginterferon and ribavirin have a reasonable chance of achieving a sustained virologic response when retreated with these drugs alone.

为了考察防风网对堆场煤堆的遮风效果,进行了防风网与煤堆之间区域的流场可视化实验。使用风洞模拟大气边界层条件,并将开孔率为38.5%的防风网模型布置在煤堆模型前方。实验中采用粒子成像测速(PIV)系统测量了防风网和堆场区域的平均风速分布,并且获得了煤堆表面的摩擦风速分布,进一步估算煤堆起尘量的变化情况。实验发现,防风网可有效降低煤堆表面迎风区域的摩擦风速,而对背风面的流场分布影响较小。研究结果可为防风网的遮护作用提供一定的实验支持。

Cyber Spatiotemporal as Media Culture： A Cognitive Level Study of Time （Tempo） and Space （Spatial） Based on Media Types

This research explores media users＇ cognition of ＂time＂ and ＂space＂ across different media platforms, and conducts a comparison among media genres including mass media and intemet media based on user＇s interactivities. Especially, this research focused on the internet＇s space and time perception based on communication genres such as e-mail, Blogs, portals, news-media, e-commerce, and social media （SNS）. The research adopted two theories （construal level theory of time and space）. The time related theory is ＂temporal distance theory＂. The space related theory is ＂media space＂. The research is designed to measure user＇s perception of interactivity, time-construal level and its media space cognition while using the media. There are two independent variables： Interactivities （contents, user, and media levels） and user involvement （CMC-user vs. user, HCI-user vs. media）; there are two dependent variables： Cognition of spatial and temporal levels. This research also seeks the associated variables relationship among those variables through the structural equation model （SEM）. The 307 data was collected and analyzed to test the research question. The results show that the dimension of the media side＇s interactivity affected media＇s usage time and space perception. There are 2 ~ 2 factors variables to affect time and space. One is human and media interaction （HC1） and human to human communication （CMC）; the other is traditional mass media （one-way communication） and interuet media （two-ways communication）. The results prove the user＇s perception for media time and space is based on the levels of interactivity. The levels of interactivities depend on media usage： one-one, one-many, synchronous, asynchronous, interpersonal, and social network communication. Online media provides greater social space; while traditional media tends toward para-space perception. On the other hand, the users＇ time cognitions between online media are different such as fixed time versus cyber-time.
