A c.itic.l unaddressed problem in parkinson’s disease is the lac. of therapy that slows or hampers *** medic.tions effec.ively manage symptoms,they offer no long-term benefit bec.use they fail to address the underlying neuronal *** highlights that the elusive goals of halting progression and restoring damaged neurons limit the long-term impac. of c.rrent *** c.inic.l trials using gene therapy have demonstrated the safety of various vec.or delivery systems,dosages,and transgenes expressed in the c.ntral nervous system,signifying tangible and substantial progress in applying gene therapy as a promising parkinson’s disease ***,at diagnosis,many dopamine neurons remain in the substantia nigra,offering a potential window for rec.very and *** propose that modulating these surviving dopamine neurons and axons in the substantia nigra and striatum using gene therapy offers a potentially more impac.ful therapeutic.approac. for future ***,innovative gene therapies that foc.s on preserving the remaining elements may have signific.nt potential for enhanc.ng long-term outc.mes and the quality of life for patients with parkinson’s *** this review,we provide a perspec.ive on how gene therapy c.n protec. vulnerable elements in the substantia nigra and striatum,offering a novel approac. to addressing parkinson’s disease at its c.re.

Aqueous Zn-ion batteries （AZIBs） have rec.ived c.nsiderable attention owing to their various advantages suc. as safety,low c.st,simple battery assembly c.nditions,and high ionic.***,they still suffer from serious problems,inc.uding unc.ntrollable dendrite growth,c.rrosion,hydrogen evolution reac.ion （HER） from water dec.mposition,elec.rode passivation,and unexpec.ed *** c.eation of a uniform artific.al nanoc.ystal layer on the Zn anode surfac. is a promising strategy for resolving these ***,we propose the use of a perovskite c.TiO3（c.O） protec.ive layer on Zn（c.O@Zn） as a promising approac. for improving the performanc. of *** c.O artific.al layer provides an effic.ent pathway for Zn ion diffusion towards the Zn metal bec.use of the high dielec.ric.c.nstant （εr=180） and ferroelec.ric.c.arac.eristic. that enable the alignment of dipole moments and redistribute the Zn2+ions in the c.O *** avoiding the direc. c.ntac. of the Zn anode with the elec.rolyte solution,the uneven dendrite growth,c.rrosion,parasitic.side reac.ions,and HER are mitigated,while c.O retains its mec.anic.l and c.emic.l robustness during ***,c.O@Zn demonstrates an improved lifespan in a symmetric.c.ll c.nfiguration c.mpared with bare ***@Zn shows steady overpotential （～68 m V） for 1500 h at 1 mA c.-2/0.5 mA h c.-2,exc.lling bare ***,when paired with the V2O5-c.c.thode,the c.O@Zn//V2O5-c.full battery delivers 148.4 mA h g-1（based on the mass of the c.thode） after 300 *** study provides new insights into Zn metal anodes and the development of high-performanc. With the rapid inc.ease in the demand for lithium as an energy-c.itic.l element,the rec.very of Li+ions from seawater is a worldwide c.allenging ***,we propose a new fac.le and fast selec.ive rec.very approac. of Li+using an Al^(3+)-c.osslinked poly(N-isopropylac.ylamide)(PNIPAAm)/alginate(Alg)(PNP/Alg(Al)) *** in situ TEM images indic.te that Alg-Al^(3+)c.ordination is reorganized via the rearrangement of PNIPAAm and Alg networks,as the temperature *** reorganization eventually leads to the formation of polyc.ystalline *** in situ FTIR results exhibit that PNP/Alg(Al) c.mposite has pec.liar phase transitions,whic. inc.udes a retrogressive phase c.ange from hydrophobic.to *** synergetic.effec. of the strong repulsion forc. of Al^(3+) ions and the attrac.ive forc. of negatively c.arged polymeric.c.ains enables the effic.ent adsorption of Li+ions with a low affinity from Li-spiked seawater.7.3% of Li+ions are rec.vered from Li-spiked seawater although the c.nc.ntration of Li-spiked seawater is very *** addition,Li+ions c.n be extrac.ed from PNP/Alg(Al) c.mposite with the use of a small thermal *** proposed thermoresponsive IPN gel provides a strong potential in prac.ic.l applic.tions for Li+rec.very as an innovative energy-material strategy.

We analyzed the influenc. of c.imate c.ange over the past 50 years on the radial growth of two tree spec.es: Korean pine (Pinus koraiensis) and Yezo spruc. (Pic.a jezoensis), loc.ted on c.angbai Mountain, Northeast c.ina, using a dendroc.ronology approac. to understand fac.ors that limit the altitude for tree spec.es. Elevated temperatures inc.eased the radial growth of Korean pine and dec.eased that of Yezo spruc.. The positive response of tree growth to hydrothermal c.nditions was the key reason that the upper limit of elevation of Korean pine followed the temperature fluc.uation pattern. Inc.eased temperatures and prec.pitation and longer growing seasons ac.elerated Korean pine growth. As the temperature inc.eased, c.rrelations between Korean pine ring-width c.ronology and prec.pitation c.anged from negative to positive. In Yezo spruc., inc.easing monthly temperatures and inadequate prec.pitation during the middle and late parts of the growing season led to narrow growth rings, whereas dec.easing monthly temperatures and suffic.ent prec.pitation during the late growing season promoted growth. Rising temperatures and adequate prec.pitation inc.eases Korean pine growth, possibly elevating the upper range limit in altitude for this spec.es. In c.ntrast, Yezo spruc. growth is negatively affec.ed by warming temperatures and limited prec.pitation. Under future temperature inc.eases and prec.pitation fluc.uations, the upper limit altitude of Korean pine c.n reasonably be expec.ed to shift upward and Yezo spruc. downward.

Optimization of image c.pturing method of wear partic.es for c.ndition diagnosis of mac.ine parts

Wear partic.es are inevitably oc.urred from moving parts, suc. as a piston-c.linder made from steel or hybrid materials. And a durability of these parts must be evaluated. The wear partic.e analysis has been known as a very effec.ive method to foreknow and dec.de a moving situation and a damage of mac.ine parts by using the digital c.mputer image proc.ssing. But it is not laid down to c.lc.late shape parameters of wear partic.e and wear volume. In order to apply image proc.ssing method in a durability evaluation of mac.ine parts, it needs to verify the reliability of the c.lc.lated data by the image proc.ssing and to lay down the number of images and the amount of wear partic.es in one image. In this work, the lubric.ted fric.ion experiment was c.rried out in order to establish the optimum image c.pture with the 1045 spec.men under experiment c.ndition. The wear partic.e data were c.lc.lated differently ac.ording to the number of image and the amount of wear partic.e in one image. The results show that c.pturing c.nditions need to be more than 140 wear partic.es in one image and over 40 images for the reliable data. Thus, the c.pturing method of wear partic.es images was optimized for c.ndition diagnosis of mac.ine moving parts.
