Risk of malignancy in Caroli disease and syndrome: A systematic review

BACKGROUND Congenital intrahepatic bile duct dilatation without fibrosis is called Caroli disease(CD),and is called Caroli syndrome(CS)when it has fibrotic and cirrhotic liver *** development of intrahepatic carcinoma is described in both conditions,but the reported incidence varies *** risk factors for the malignant transformation were not ***,conservative or surgical treatment is performed depending on the extent of cystic malformation,hepatic dysfunction and structural hepatic changes,but little is known about which treatment should be offered to patients with CD or CS and *** To further investigate the malignant transformation in these *** A systematic review of the current literature until January 2019 was performed according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses statement.A search using Medline(PubMed)was performed using a combination of Medical Subject Headings terms“caroli disease”,“caroli syndrome”,“tumor”,“malignant”,and“cholangiocarcinoma”.Only human studies published in English were used for this systematic *** following parameters were extracted from each article:year of publication,type of study,number of patients,incidence of malignant tumor,duration of symptoms,age,sex,diagnostics,identification of tumor,surgical therapy,survival and tumor *** Twelve retrospective studies reporting the courses of 561 patients(53%females)were included in this systematic *** a mean age of 41.6 years old(range 23 to 56 years old),patients were younger than other populations undergoing liver *** on the size of the study population the incidence of cholangiocarcinoma varied from 2.7%to 37.5%with an overall incidence of 6.6%.There were only few detailed reports about preoperative diagnostic work-up,but a multimodal work-up including ultrasound of the liver,computed tomography,magnetic resonance imaging and endoscopic retrograd

The laminar burning velocity belongs to the fundamental combustion properties of fuels being a measure for their heat release,flame length,as well as reactivity and combustion stability,and thus,may impact the design of burners and combustion ***,these experimental data are needed for the validation and optimization within the construction and development of detailed chemical kinetic reaction *** this study,an overview of the different applications of fuel characterization regarding the specific area of interest(road transport,aviation,and aerospace)will be *** on the application,effects of different molecular characteristics on the laminar burning velocity are evaluated:the presence of oxygen atoms and the grade of branching in a specific fuel molecule as well as the difference in the type of a chemical bond,here,single and double *** of alternative fuels being discussed in the present study are:(Ⅰ)oxymethylene ether(OMEn)in the field of road transport;(Ⅱ)a paraffinic Alcohol-to-Jet fuel as sustainable aviation fuel;and(Ⅲ)mixtures of ethane or ethene with nitrous oxide as green propellants for rocket propulsion applications.

Computational Study on Furnace Process in a Multi-burner Boiler of Pulverized Coal Fired Tangentially at Four Corners

Aiming at the optimization of the operation condition, a general numerical method for calculating pulverized coal combustion in a full scale furnace fired tangentially at four corners is adopted. “ k ε ” turbulence model is used for the gas phases and a stochastic approach based on the Lagrangian technique is used for particle phases. Two competing reactions model for the coal devolatilization and PDF (the probability density function) method for the combustion of the gas phases are employed. In the numerical simulations, assuming the air distribution of second port level is of pagoda, waist drum and uniform type. The results show that pagoda type air distribution is advantageous to ignition and smooth combustion of pulverized coal, and suitable to inferior coal combustion in practice. In the present furnace, the igniting distance at 1st and 3rd corner is longer than that at 2nd and 4th corner. The results from numerical calculations are in good agreement with those of observed in practice.

简介:在西方人群中进行的几项研究已经确定了疾病发作和进展的风险因素。风险因素识别提供了对视网膜病变典型特征的洞察,有助于临床判断、治疗和监测,以降低DR的频率和严重程度。该研究的目的是确定中国大理大学内科就诊的2型糖尿病患者发生视网膜病变的危险因素。方法:该研究是一项横断面前瞻性描述性研究,于2017年9月至2021年9月期间对120名2型糖尿病患者进行。评估。单变量分析的主要目的是估计独立因素之间的关系并计算优势比。统计显着性定义为P值为0.05。结果:我们的研究发现,37.67%的2型糖尿病患者患有糖尿病视网膜病变,这与全球34.6%的患病率(范围15-51.2%)相当。我们的研究结果表明,高血压、体重指数异常、血糖水平升高、空腹胰岛素升高、稳态模型评估指数升高、纤维蛋白原水平升高、高密度脂蛋白降低、尿素和肌酐升高、尿酸升高和糖尿增加视网膜病变发展和进展的风险。在我们的研究中发现C肽水平、凝血参数和血脂参数是保护因素。结论:该研究发现了可改变和不可改变的风险因素以及糖尿病视网膜病变发展和进展的一些保护因素。

Critical Transitions of Microviscosity in Concentrated Polystyrene Solutions Revealed by Excimer Formation of Pyrenyl Probes

Excimer formation of pyrene and benzyl 4-(1-pyrenyl) butanoate was used to study the microviscosity of polystyrene/toluene solutions over the entire concentration range. Two critical concentrations (C(PS)similar to 0.32, 0.82g/ml) have been observed from the log-log plot of IB/IM vs C-PS. The results are explained in terms of the onset of cohesional interaction and the glass transition of the polymer chains, respectively.

Damping Behaviour and Mechanism of Graphite ParticulateReinforced Metal Matrix Composites

The effect of graphite particulate reinforcement on the resultant damping behaviour of ZA27 metal matrix composites (MMCs) has been investigated in an effort to develop a new functional material. The MMCs were processed by a spray atomization and deposition technique. The damping capacity, as well as the relative dynamic modulus, was measured at frequencies of 1 and 4 Hz in the 30 to 200 degrees C temperature range. There exists a transformation point at 55 degrees C in the internal friction and temperature spectrum of the MMCs. It is shown from microstructural analysis that the damping capacity of ZA27 can be significantly improved by the addition of graphites particulates through spray deposition processing. Finally, the operative damping mechanism is discussed in light of the data obtained from characterization of microstructure and damping capacity.

Interaction　of　Polyelectrolyte　with　Fluorocarbon　Surfactant　in　Aqueous　Solution

The variation of the I1/I3 ratio of the fluorescence of pyrene in polystyrene-based quaternary ammonium salt (PA) and sodium carboxymethylamylose (NaCMA) aqueous solutions was measured as a function of sodium perfluorooctanoate (SPFO) concentration. Association of the anionic fluorocarbon surfactant with cationic polyelectrolyte (PA) to form mixed micelles occurred at the surfactant concentrations far below its normal critical concentration, while no interaction between SPFO and anionic polyelectrolyte (NaCMA) was detected. The driving force for the formation of mixed micelles of *** PA is electrostatic interactions.
