This study presents an inventory model for imperfect products with depletion in ordering costs and constant lead time where the price discount in the backorder is *** imperfect products are refused or modified or if they reached to the customer,returned and thus some extra costs are *** some of the researchers explicitly present on the significant association between size of lot and quality *** practical situations,the unsatisfied demands increase the period of lead time and decrease the *** control customers'problems and losses,the supplier provides a price discount in backorders during ***,an order’s policies may result in including some imperfect products in arrival lots.A discount on price may be offered by the supplier on the out-of-stock products to manage the backorder *** study aims to develop a model with imperfect products by permitting the price discount in backorders,and the cost of ordering is considered a decision ***,it is assumed that the demand for lead time is followed by a normal distribution and then stops it and assumed that the first two moments of demand for lead time are ***,the minimax distribution method is used to solve this model,and a separate algorithm is *** this study,two models are discussed with and without a normally distributed rate of *** current study verified with the help of some numerical examples over various model parameters.

Structural,electronic,magnetic and optical properties of neodymium chalcogenides using LSDA+U method

We have studied the electronic, magnetic and optical properties of neodymium chalcogenides by performing LSDA＋ U and full potential linearized augmented plane wave （FP-LAPW） method. The electronic structure calculation shows that the electronic states in Nd-chalcogenides were mainly contributed by Nd-4f electrons near Fermi energy and 3p, 4p and 5p state electrons of X （S, Se and Te）, respectively. We have also studied the absorption of light via the imaginary parts of the dielectric function of Nd-chalcogenides.

Model based odia numeral recognition using fuzzy aggregated features

In this paper, an efficient scheme for recognition of handwritten Odia numerals using hidden markov model （HMM） has been proposed. Three different feature vectors for each of the numeral is generated through a polygonal approximation of object contour. Subsequently, aggregated feature vector for each numeral is derived from these three primary feature vectors using a fuzzy inference system. The final feature vector is divided into three levels and interpreted as three different states for HMM. Ten different three-state ergodic hidden markov models （HMMs） are thus constructed corresponding to ten numeral classes and parameters are calculated from these models. For the recognition of a probe numeral, its log-likelihood against these models are computed to decide its class label. The proposed scheme is implemented on a dataset of 2500 handwritten samples and a recognition accuracy of 96.3% has been achieved. The scheme is compared with other competent schemes.

Low power digitally controlled oscillator designs with a novel 3-transistor XNOR gate

Digital controlled oscillators（DCOs） are the core of all digital phase locked loop（ADPLL） circuits. Here,DCO structures with reduced hardware and power consumption having full digital control have been proposed. Three different DCO architectures have been proposed based on ring based ***,four and five bit controlled DCO with NMOS,PMOS and NMOS PMOS transistor switching networks are presented.A three-transistor XNOR gate has been used as the inverter which is used as the delay *** has been controlled digitally with a switch network of NMOS and PMOS *** three bit DCO with one NMOS network shows frequency variations of 1.6141-1.8790 GHz with power consumption variations 251.9224-276.8591μW. The four bit DCO with one NMOS network shows frequency variation of 1.6229-1.8868 GHz with varying power consumption of 251.9225-278.0740μW.A six bit DCO with one NMOS switching network gave an output frequency of 1.7237-1.8962 GHz with power consumption of 251.928-278.998μ*** frequency and power consumption results for 4 6 bit DCO circuits with one PMOS and NMOS PMOS switching network have also been *** phase noise parameter with an offset frequency of 1 MHz has also been reported for the proposed *** with earlier reported circuits have been made and the present approach shows advantages over previous circuits.

The review article by Zhang et al.(1)critically discussed the efficacy of combination therapies for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)and the factors affecting efficacy and overall survival(OS)with a particular emphasis on timing and sequence of combination therapies to improve *** role of interventional therapies such as radio-frequency ablation(RFA)and chemoembolization were also discussed-although ablation is well-established for the treatment of small tumors,cancer,it may not be appropriate for tumors near the liver capsule or adjacent to blood vessels due to a higher risk of complications and local recurrence from untreated perivascular cells.

PAPR Reduction of NOMA Using Vandermonde Matrix-Particle Transmission Sequence

Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access(NOMA)is an ideal choice for 5G waveforms due to their characteristics such as high data rate,massive device connectivity,high spectral access,and effective frequency selective ***,it permits gigantic *** spectrum overlaps with NOMA,which consents several operators to segment the spectrum at the same *** features make NOMA more suitable for use beyond *** to Average Power(PAPR)is a major problem in Multi-Carrier Techniques(MCT)like NOMA and it also degrades the performance of the *** Partial Transmission Sequence(PTS)is a superior algorithm for moderating the ***,it also increases the complexity of the *** PAPR is reduced in NOMA by multiplying the NOMA signal with optimised phase vectors(P).The phase vectors are generated by using the Vandermonde Matrix(VM).In this work,we proposed a VM-PTS algorithm for the NOMA system,and the number of computations to search the optimal phase vectors for NOMA high PAPR signal is less as compared with existing *** outcomes demonstrate that the performance of the recommended PTS in terms of PAPR,Bit Error Rate(BER),and complexity is better than the conventional PTS(C-PTS).

Synthesis,and measurement of structural and magnetic properties,of La_(1-x)Na_xFeO_3 (0.0≤x≤0.3) perovskite oxides

Polycrystalline La1-xNaxFeO3 (0.0≤x≤0.3) solid solutions were synthesized by a solution combustion method using glycine as a fuel. The combustion synthesized compounds were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), diffused reflectance (DR) in the UV-vis, and magnetic measurements. The crystal structure examined by X-ray powder diffraction indicated that the samples were single phase and crystallized in an orthorhombic (space group, Pbnm no.62) structure. The parent and sodium-substituted compounds showed canted anti-ferromagnetic behavior associated with an increase in magnetic moment as Na content increased. The changes in magnetic properties of the materials were correlated to the changes in structural features, as shown by Rietveld structural refinement of the materials.

Chemical composition and source apportionment of PM2.5 and PM2.5-10 in Trombay （Mumbai, India）, a coastal industrial area

PM2.5 and PM2.5 lo concentrations, elemental constituents, and sources in a densely populated coastal industrial area （Trombay, Mumbai） were investigated in 2010 and *** PM2.s and PM2.s lo concentra- tions were 13.50-71.60 and 22.40-127.78 p^g/m3, respectively. The daily PM25 concentrations exceeded the Indian Central Pollution Control Board limit （60 μg/m3） several days in winter. Of the elements analyzed, Si then Al had the highest concentrations in PM2.5- 10, but black carbon then Si had the highest concentrations in PM2.s. The element concentrations varied widely by season. Al, Ca, Fe, Si, and Ti con- centrations were highest in summer, Cl, Mg, and Na concentrations were highest in the monsoon season, and the other trace metal concentrations in both PM2.5 and PM2.5-10 were highest in winter. The PM2.5 and PM2.5-10 sources were apportioned by positive matrix factorization. PM2.5 and PM2.5-10 had six dominant sources, crustal material （8.7% and 25.3%, respectively）, sea salt spray （6.1% and 15.0%, respectively）, coal/biomass combustion （25.5% and 13.8%, respectively）, fuel oil combustion （19.0% and 11.2%, respectively）, road traffic （ 17.7% and 12.6%, respectively）, and the metal industry （ 10.6% and 7.0%, respectively）. Anthropogenic sources clearly contributed most to PM2.5 but natural sources contributed most to PM2.5-10.

Chlorination roasting-coupled water leaching process for potash recovery from waste mica scrap using dry marble sludge powder and sodium chloride

The present paper reports the effective utilization of marble sludge powder(MSP)for the recovery of potash values from waste mica scrap using chlorination roasting-water leaching *** studies indicated the presence of dolomite as the major mineral phase in MSP,whereas muscovite and quartz were observed in the mica *** acid leaching studies suggest a maximum of 22%potash recovery under conditions:4 M H2SO4 acid,particle size of^100μm,stirring speed of 600 r/min,leaching temperature of 75℃,and leaching time of 90 *** chlorination roasting-water leaching process was adopted to achieve the lowest level of 80%-90%potash *** optimum conditions for the recovery of^93%potash from mica(~8.6wt%K2O)requires 900℃ roasting temperature,30 min roasting time,and 1:1:0.75 mass ratio of mica:MSP:*** roasting temperature and amount of NaCl are found to be the most important factors for the recovery *** reaction mechanism suggests the formation of different mineral phases,including sylvite(KCl),wollastonite,kyanite,and enstatite,during roasting,which were confirmed by X-ray diffraction(XRD)analyses and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)*** MSP-blended NaCl additive is more effective for potash recovery compared with the other reported commercial roasting additives.

Pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic, and neurochemical investigations of lamotrigine-pentylenetetrazole kindled mice to ascertain it as a reliable model for clinical drug-resistant epilepsy

Background:Pentylenetetrazole kindling has long been used for the screening of investigational antiseizure *** presence of lamotrigine,at a very low dose,does not hamper kindling in mice;rather it modifies this epileptogenesis process into drug-resistant *** lamotrigine-pentylenetetrazole kindled mice show resistance to lamotrigine,phenytoin,and *** may also be possible that other licensed antiseizure drugs,like the mentioned drugs,remain ineffective in this model;therefore,this was the subject of this ***:Swiss albino mice were kindled with pentylenetetrazole for 35 days in the presence of either methylcellulose vehicle or lamotrigine(subtherapeutic dose,ie,5 mg/kg).Vehicle vs lamotrigine-kindled mice were compared in terms of(a)resistance/response toward nine antiseizure drugs applied as monotherapies and two drug combinations;(b)lamotrigine bioavailability in blood and brain;(c)blood-brain barrier integrity;and(d)amino acids and monoamines in the cerebral cortex and ***:Lamotrigine vs vehicle-kindled mice are similar(or not significantly different P>.05 from each other)in terms of(a)response toward drug combinations;(b)lamotrigine bioavailability;and(c)blood-brain barrier integrity except for,significantly(P<.05)reduced taurine and increased glutamate in the cerebral cortex and *** from these,lamotrigine-kindled mice show significant(P<.05)resistant to lamotrigine(15 mg/kg),levetiracetam(40 mg/kg);carbamazepine(40 mg/kg),zonisamide(100 mg/kg),gabapentin(224 mg/kg),pregabalin(30 mg/kg),phenytoin(35 mg/kg),and topiramate(300 mg/kg).Conclusion:Lamotrigine-pentylenetetrazole kindling takes longer to develop(~5 weeks)in comparison to lamotrigine-amygdale(~4 weeks)and lamotriginecorneal(~2 weeks)kindling ***,drug screening through this model may yield superior drugs with novel antiseizure mechanisms.
