Objective:We aimed to established normal uroflowmetric values and subsequently derived nomograms of _(max)imum flow rate(Q_(max))and average flow rate(Q_(avg))against voided volume(VV)in children aged 5-15 years at our ***:A total of 440 children underwent uroflowmetric evaluation with no history of urological,renal,psychiatric,or neurological disorder between 5 and 15 years of *** subject data regarding Q_(max),Q_(avg),VV,time to Q_(max),and flow time,as well as age,sex,height,and weight were *** the 440 children,around 300(68.18%)children could produce a normal flow rate at VV of more than 50 *** the remaining 140(31.82%)children,50.00%voided less than 50 mL,and remaining 50.00%had abnormal voiding pattern,staccato or interrupted(21.43%each)and plateau or tower shaped(3.57%each).Cases were divided into two age groups(5-9 years and 10-15 years),and uroflowmetric analysis was done between boys and girls in both age groups to derive nomograms of Q_(avg) and Q_(max).Results:Q_(max) and Q_(avg) flow nomograms were plotted for boys and *** Q_(max) for boys was 16.68 mL/s and for girls 20.69 mL/*** mean Q_(avg) values were 11.04 mL/s and 8.60 mL/s for girls and boys,*** Q_(max) and Q_(avg) values were higher in *** were significant increases in flow rates with increasing age,body surface area,and VV in both ***:Nomograms for Q_(max) and Q_(avg) may be a useful tool in evaluation of lower urinary tract disturbances in children.

this paper elaborates on the development of paste backfill using mill tailings generated during the processing of a uranium ore deposit hosted in dolomitic limestone. the tailings have been characterized in terms of the physical, chemical and mineralogical properties. time-dependent rheological behaviors and geotechnical properties of cemented paste backfill(CPB) are also determined. the studies show that the mill tailing has the potential to form paste and the CPB has adequate strength to provide support to mine pillars, roofs, and walls.

Micromechanical and tribological studies of geological materials with a particular focus on their contact-mechanics behavior at the grain scale are currently a major interest in the engineering and geoscience disciplines. In this study, a new robust micromechanical apparatus developed at the City University of Hong Kong is described;it is capable of conducting inter-granule(or inter-particle) loading tests on fine gravel to ballast-sized materials of sizes as small as 5-10 mm to granules(or ballast) as big as 50 mm. the focus of our study is the description of the major technical features of the new apparatus and its performance and repeatability in conducting experiments on reference grains of chrome steel balls and glass balls;in addition, we conducted a preliminary set of experiments on crushed granitic rock, which is a material widely used in geotechnical and transportation infrastructure. the representative results of these experiments are presented in terms of the normal force-displacement relationship, friction, and tangential stiffness. the newly developed large-size apparatus is further compared with a well-established apparatus that can conduct micromechanical tests on sand-sized materials.

this paper presents,a new approach of Medical Image Pixels Clustering(MIPC),aims to trace the dissimilar patterns over the Magnetic Resonance(MR)image through the process of automatically identify the appropriate number of distinct clusters based on different improved unsupervised clustering schemes for enrichment,pattern predication and deeper *** proposed MIPC consists of two stages:clustering and *** the clustering stage,the MIPC automatically identifies the distinct number of dissimilar clusters over the gray scale MR image based on three different improved unsupervised clustering schemes likely improved Limited Agglomerative Clustering(iLIAC),Dynamic Automatic Agglomerative Clustering(DAAC)and Optimum N-Means(ONM).In the second stage,the performance of MIPC approach is estimated by measuring Intra intimacy and Intra contrast of each individual cluster in the result of MR image based on proposed validation method namely Shreekum Intra Cluster Measure(SICM).Experimental results showthat the MIPC approach is better suited for automatic identification of highly relative dissimilar clusters over the MR cancer images with higher Intra closeness and lower Intra contrast based on improved unsupervised clustering schemes.

Intricate assembly of multiple molecular chromophores assisted by protein scaffolds is essential in tuning the optical absorption and energy transfer in the light-harvesting complexes of the photosynthetic systems in ***,it remains a challenge to achieve such structural complexity and functionality in synthetic polymer-chromophore ***,we report a series of polyester-tethered pyrrolopyrrole cyanine derivatives and their colloidal nanoparticles dispersed in water,which show tunable J-or H-aggregation excitonic coupling and near-infrared fluorescence by precise control of the polymer chain lengths,composition,and ***,the optimal fluorescence or photothermal effect of the Jaggregate nanoparticles enables broad applications in fluorescence or photoacoustic bioimaging and phototherapy.

the cellulosic bast fibers are recognized as a justifiable and biodegradable substitute for producing moderate strength polymer composite materials because of their characteristics of renewability,ecofriendliness,and higher specific *** the aim of this research work is to fabricate Himalayan bast fibers(Nettle fiber(NF)/bauhinia vahlii fiber(BF)) based mono/hybrid epoxy composites at varying weight percentage of 2-6 wt% and evaluate the physical(void fraction and water absorption),mechanical(tensile strength,flexural strength,hardness) and sliding wear properties of as-fabricated *** 6 wt% NBF reinforced composites exhibited higher mechanical properties as compared to NF and BF composites with tensile strength of 34.04 MPa,flexural strength of 42.45 MPa,and hardness of 37.01 Hv *** influence of various control factors(sliding velocity,NF/BF/NBF contents,normal load and sliding distance) on specific sliding wear rate of composites was evaluated by taguchi(three factors at three levels) experimental design and the percentage contribution of these selected parameters on sliding wear performance was examined by Analysis of variance(ANOVA).the sliding wear property of as-developed composites was found to be greatly influenced by sliding velocity and the wear resistance was observed to be improved with the NF/BF/NBF *** wear mechanism of the as-fabricated composites has been elucidated by scanning electron microscopy *** research outcomes demonstrated that the hybridization of Bauhinia vahlii fiber with Nettle fiber led to improve the mechanical and wear properties of epoxy composites.

the structural,electronic,and magnetic properties of the Nd-doped Rare earth aluminate,La1-xNdxAlO3（x = 0%to 100%） alloys are studied using the full potential linearized augmented plane wave（FP-LAPW） method within the density functional *** effects of the Nd substitution in La AlO3 are studied using the supercell *** computed electronic structure with the modified Becke–Johnson（m BJ） potential based approximation indicates that the La1-xNdxAlO3 alloys may possess half-metallic（HM） behaviors when doped with Nd of a finite density of states at the Fermi level（EF）.the direct and indirect band gaps are studied each as a function of x which is the concentration of Nddoped La *** calculated magnetic moments in the La1-xNdxAlO3 alloys are found to arise mainly from the Nd-4f state.A probable half-metallic nature is suggested for each of these systems with supportive integral magnetic moments and highly spin-polarized electronic structures in these doped systems at *** observed decrease of the band gap with the increase in the concentration of Nd doping in La AlO3 is a suitable technique for harnessing useful spintronic and magnetic devices.

BACKGROUND Direct-acting antiviral(DAA)therapy regimens are highly effective at eliminating hepatitis C virus(HCV)infection but rates of sustained virologic response(SVR)are lower in patients with decompensated cirrhosis or hepatocellular *** many of these patients will be referred for liver transplant,they will require retreatment after ***/velpatasvir/voxilaprevir(SOF/VEL/VOX)is recommended by guidelines as the preferred regimen to treat HCV in DAA-experienced patients following liver transplant however there is limited *** SUMMARY We present the cases of six liver transplant recipients who had previous treatment failure with sofosbuvir-based DAA therapy prior to transplantation and who then received SOF/VEL/VOX after *** this case series demonstrate the real-world efficacy and safety of SOF/VEL/VOX in the post liver transplant *** was successful with all patients achieving SVR,it was well tolerated,and there were minimal drug-drug interactions with their immunosuppressants.

AIM to understand the role of knowledge as a promoter of hepatitis C virus(HCV) screening among primary care physicians(PCP).MEtHODS A 45-item online questionnaire assessing knowledge of HCV natural history, risk factors, and treatment was distributed to 163 PCP. Logistic regression, adjusted for survey responses, assessed associations between PCP knowledge of HCV natural history and treatment and birth cohort(i.e., birth between 1945 and 1965) screening. Response stratification and weighting were used to account for nonresponse and to permit extension of responses to the entire survey population. Associations between various predictors including demographic characteristics, level of training, and HCV treatment experience and HCV knowledge were *** Ninety-one individuals(55.8%) responded. Abnormal liver enzymes(49.4%), assessment of HCV-related risk factors(30.6%), and birth cohort membership(20%) were the leading HCV screening indications. Most PCP(64.7%) felt that the combination of risk-factor and birth cohort screening utilizing a self-administered survey while awaiting the physician(55.3%) were the most efficient screening practices. Implementation of birth cohort screening was associated with awareness of the recommendations(P-value = 0.01), knowledge of HCV natural history(P-value t of HCV patients(P-value th knowledge of HCV treatment was also knowledgeable about HCV natural history(P-value tions was associated with HCV treatment knowledge(P-value = 0.03).CONCLUSION Comprehensive knowledge of HCV is critical to motivate HCV screening. PCP-targeted educational interventions are required to expand the HCV workforce and linkageto-care opportunities as we seek global HCV eradication.
