We study the phenomenon of neutrino spin-flavor oscillations due to solar magnetic *** allows us to examine how significantly the electron neutrinos produced in the solar interior undergo a resonant spin-flavor *** construct analytical models for the solar magnetic field in all the three regions of the *** spin-flavor oscillations in this magnetic field are examined by studying the level crossing phenomenon and comparing the two cases of zero and non-zero vacuum mixing *** from the Borexino experiment are used to place an upper limit on the magnetic field in the solar *** phenomena such as effects of matter on neutrino spin transitions and differences between Dirac and Majorana transitions in the solar magnetic fields are also discussed.

Double-face urethroplasty in patients with obliterative bulbar strictures post-transurethral resection of the prostate mid-term outcomes in high-volume referral center

Bulbar urethral ischemic necrosis(BUIN)is an iatrogenic entity resulting from repeated attempts at performing anastomotic urethroplasty for pelvic fracture urethral *** speaking,BUIN is related to a compromised blood supply of the bulbar urethra,which normally relies on anterograde supply from bulbar arteries and retrograde supply from recurrent branches of dorsal penile arteries,through the *** each transection of the bulbar urethra,both the anterograde and retrograde supplies are compromised,increasing the risk of *** though this term is widely used among reconstructive urologists,BUIN is orphan of an accepted scientific *** aim to report our personal perspective on BUIN,to identify factors associated with its occurrence,and to describe the management options in these patients.

Comparative prospective study between medial and lateral distal tibial locking compression plates for distal third tibial fractures

Purpose： Tibial fracture is the most common long bone fracture. Distal third tibial fractures are chal- lenging though open reduction and plating can result in anatomical reduction and rigid fixation. This paper aimed to evaluate and compare the results of medial and lateral locking compression plates for distal third tibial fractures. Methods： This prospective clinical study involved 36 patients with distal tibial fractures admitted in Department of Orthopaedics, Sawai Mansingh Medical College ＆ Affiliated Hospital, Jaipur, India, from June 2011 to May 2012, including 29 closed fractures and 7 open fractures at the mean age of 38.9 years. Thirty-six patients were divided equally into two groups based on treatment method, including medial plating group （18 patients） and lateral plating group （18 patients）. They were followed up for at least 5 months after discharge. The functional outcomes were evaluated using Tenny and Wiss clinical assess- ment criteria. Results： Malunion was found in 3 cases of medial plating group and in 1 case of lateral plating group. In the medial plating group, there were 5 cases of superficial infections, 1 deep infection, 1 nonunion and 3 wound dehiscence. In the lateral plating group, there was 1 case of superficial infections, 1 deep infection and 1 nonunion, in the lateral plating group, 4 patients reported feeling the plates and screws but none of them asked to remove the hardware. In the medial plating group, 9 patients reported symptomatic hardware problems and 7 asked to remove the hardware. The number of cases graded as excellent/good/ fair was 1/8/7 in the medial plating group and 3/7/7 in the lateral plating group respectively. In the medial plating group, the final range of motion was 17.2° in ankle dorsiflexion and 30.7° in ankle plantar flexion. In the lateral plating group, the final range of motion was 19° in ankle dorsiflexion and 34.2° in ankle plantar flexion. Conclusion： Lateral plating of distal tibia is safe and feasib

Comparison of split-dosing vs non-split(morning) dosing regimen for assessment of quality of bowel preparation for colonoscopy

AIM: To compare(using the Ottawa Bowel Preparation Scale) the efficacy of split-dose vs morning administration of polyethylene glycol solution for colon cleansing in patients undergoing colonoscopy, and to assess the optimal preparation-to-colonoscopy ***: Single-centre, prospective, randomized, investigator-blind stud in an academic tertiarycare centre. Two hundred patients requiring elective colonoscopy were assigned to receive one of the two preparation regimens(split vs morning) prior to colonoscopy. Main outcome measurements were bowel preparation quality and patient ***: Split-dose regimen resulted in better bowel preparation compared to morning regimen [Ottawascore mean 5.52(SD 1.23) vs 6.02(1.34); P = 0.017]. On subgroup analysis, for afternoon procedures, both the preparations were equally effective(P = 0.756). There was no difference in tolerability and compliance between the two ***: Overall, previous evening- same morning split-dosing regimen results in better bowel cleansing for colonoscopy compared to morning preparation. For afternoon procedures, both schedules are equally effective; morning preparation may be more convenient to the patient.
