The retinal ganglion cells(RGCs)are not able to regenerate following optic nerve injury resulting in an irreversible vision loss in patients with optic neuropathies including *** findings in ocular regeneration have opened promising avenues to apply stem cell-based modalities to restore vision in progressive optic *** cellbased therapies can help to improve retinal regeneration by solving two major problems:(1)by preventing secondary degeneration of RGCs and preserving the remaining vision,and(2)by replacing degenerated RGCs and promoting RGC axon regeneration in the damaged area.

Early diagnosis of breast cancer,the most common disease among women around the world,increases the chance of treatment and is highly *** atypia grading in histopathological images plays an important role in the final diagnosis and grading ofbreast *** images by pathologists is a time consuming and subjective ***,the existence of a computer-aided system for nuclear atypia grading is very useful and necessary;In this stud%two automatic systems for grading nuclear atypia in breast cancer histopathological images based on deep learning methods are proposed.A patch-based approach is introduced due to the large size of the histopathological images and restriction of the training *** the proposed system I,the most important patches in the image are detected first and then a three-hidden-layer convolutional neural network(CNN)is designed and trained for feature extraction and to classify the patches *** proposed system II is based on a combination of the CNN for feature extraction and a two-layer Long short-term memoty(LSTM)network for *** LSTM network is utilised to consider all patches of an image simultaneously for image *** simulation results show the efficiency of the proposed systems for automatic nuclear atypia grading and outperform the current related studies in the literature.

Nanoparticles have already gained attentions for their countless potential applications in enhanced oil ***-sized particles would help to recover trapped oil by several mechanisms including interfacial tension reduction, impulsive emulsion formation and wettability alteration of porous media. The presence of dispersed nanoparticles in injected fluids would enhance the recovery process through their movement towards oil–water interface. This would cause the interfacial tension to be reduced. In this research, the effects of different types of nanoparticles and different nanoparticle concentrations on EOR processes were investigated. Different flooding experiments were investigated to reveal enhancing oil recovery mechanisms. The results showed that nanoparticles have the ability to reduce the IFT as well as contact angle, making the solid surface to more water wet. As nanoparticle concentration increases more trapped oil was produced mainly due to wettability alteration to water wet and IFT reduction. However, pore blockage was also observed due to adsorption of nanoparticles, a phenomenon which caused the injection pressure to increase. Nonetheless, such higher injection pressure could displace some trapped oil in the small pore channels out of the model. The investigated results gave a clear indication that the EOR potential of nanoparticle fluid is significant.

In the present study,a simple method for the preparation of a luminescent flexible gallium doped zinc oxide(GZO)/polystyrene nanocomposite film was *** prepared GZO powder was characterized through different optical and structural *** XRD study revealed the existence of a wurtzite structure with no extra oxide ***-mapping,EDX,FTIR and XPS analyses were used to confirm the presence of elements and the several groups present in the *** excitations of UV,the prepared hybrid nanocomposite showed a strong cyan emission with narrow full width at half the maximum value(20 nm)that has not been reported before.X-ray and laser-induced luminescence results of the hy-brid film revealed novel blue-green emission at room *** prepared composite film showed a strong scintillation re-sponse to ionizing *** strong emissions,very weak deep-level emissions,and low FWHM of composite indicate the de-sirable optical properties with low-density structural defects in the GZO composite ***,the prepared hybrid film can be considered to be a suitable candidate for the fabrication of optoelectronic devices.

Local scour is a phenomenon leading to the localized lowering of the channel bed due to the imbalance of sediment *** spur dikes protrude into the natural channels,local scour could be *** estimation of local scour around spur dikes is crucial for the effectiveness of erosion control and prevention and habitat enhancement *** the current study,the correlations between the maximum scour depth and the overtopping ratio,spur dike dimensions,ice cover roughness,and grain size of the bed material are *** both open channel and ice-covered flow conditions,a variety of experiments were done in a large-scale outdoor flume with different experimental *** results revealed that the scour depths around submerged spur dikes increased with increases in the densimetric Froude number and the decreases in the overtopping ratio and alignment *** maximum scour depth around a submerged angled vertical wall spur dike is significantly affected by the presence of an ice cover on the water surface,namely,the rougher the cover,the deeper the scour *** on data collected from the laboratory experiments,an existing maximum scour depth estimation equation has been modified to consider the influence of the cover condition and the submergence *** calculated results showed high accuracy in estimation of the measured data.

AIM：To compare the effect of azithromycin drop and doxycyciine capsule on treatment of posterior ***：Fifty patients（100 eyes） with moderate posterior blepharitis,randomly divided into two therapeutic groups;all the patients got warm eyelid compress and massage three times a day for *** addition the first group got azithromycin 1% drop,twice daily for 1wk and then one drop daily for *** second group got oral doxycyciine 100 mg daily for *** the end of the research,patients＇ signs and symptoms were compared ***,Chi-square and MannWhitney tests were used for statistical ***：Topical therapy with azithromycin and oral therapy with doxycyciine relieved signs and symptoms after *** were no significant differences between symptoms healing rate and foreign body sensation healing in these two groups（P〉0.05）.However,azithromycin drop was more effective in reduction of eye redness and doxycyciine was more effective in meibomian glands plugging healing and reducing the corneal ***：Topical azithromycin could have similar effects as oral doxycyciine on posterior blepharitis in improving subjective ***,doxycyciine can reduce objective signs such as ocular surface staining and meibomian gland plugging more than azithromycin.

Central granular cell odontogenic tumors(CGCOTs)are rare,benign,slowly growing odontogenic *** to their uncertain histogenesis,CGCOTs are still not included as a distinct entity in the WHO classification(2017)of odontogenic *** report a case of CGCOT involving the right side of maxillary anterior region of a 39-year-old white *** staining showed that granular cells positively expressed CD68 and vimentin,and negatively expressed S-100 ***,we searched Pub Med,Google Scholar,and Scopus databases to summary the clinico-pathological features of 51 reported cases of *** results showed that the granular cells of 28.6%cases were immunopositive for vimentin and CD68,and odontogenic epithelial cells were positive immunoreactivity for *** findings reinforced the mesenchymal origin of granular cells and the odontogenic nature of epithelium islands.

The effect of disc-shaped gastric resection of anastomosis site on reducing postoperative dysphagia and stricture after esophagogastric anastomosis in patients with esophageal cancer

Background:Esophagectomy remains the most reliable technique for managing esophageal cancer,but anastomotic complications including postoperative leak,ischemia and stricture negatively affect outcomes of this specific *** aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of a novel method of esophagogastric anastomosis for reducing postoperative dysphagia and stricture ***:Eighty patients who were scheduled for esophagectomy due to esophageal cancer were randomly assigned into two groups:intervention and control(40 each).In the control group,the esophagogastric anastomosis was performed with a linear gastric incision,whilst in the intervention group a new method of disc-shaped gastric resection for anastomosis was *** outcomes were compared between the two ***:The incidence of postoperative dysphagia and anastomotic stricture was significantly lower in the disc-shaped resection group(dysphagia 45%vs 75%,P=0.02;stricture 12.5%vs 32.5%,P=0.03),whilst the length of stay in an intensive care unit(ICU),anastomotic leakage and other complications were not significantly different between the two groups(all P>0.05).Conclusion:Anastomotic complications can be reduced by improving surgical *** decreased incidence of postoperative dysphagia and anastomotic stricture in our study may be partly due to providing the proper diameter for the site of anastomosis when using the disc-shaped gastric resection ***,this new method can improve the clinical outcomes of patients who undergo esophagectomy with esophagogastric anastomosis.

In this study some soil phosphorous sorption parameters(PSPs)by using different machine learning models(Cubist(Cu),random forest(RF),support vector machines(SVM)and Gaussian process regression(GPR))were *** results showed that using the topographic attributes as the sole auxiliary variables was not adequate for predicting the ***,remote sensing data and its combination with soil properties were reliably used to predict PSPs(R^(2)=0.41 for MBC by RF model,R^(2)=0.49 for PBC by Cu model,R^(2)=0.37 for SPR by Cu model,and R^(2)=0.38 for SBC by RF model).The lowest RMSE values were obtained for MBC by RF model,PBC by SVM model,SPR by Cubist model and SBC by RF *** results also showed that remote sensing data as the easily available datasets could reliably predict PSPs in the given study *** outcomes of variable importance analysis revealed that among the soil properties cation exchange capacity(CEC)and clay content,and among the remote sensing indices B5/B7,Midindex,Coloration index,Saturation index,and OSAVI were the most imperative factors for predicting *** studies are recommended to use other proximally sensed data to improve PSPs prediction to precise decision-making throughout the landscape.
