Construction of MoP/MoS_(2) Core-shell Structure Electrocatalyst for Boosting Hydrogen Evolution Reaction

Hydrogen energy stands out as one of the most promising alternative energy sources due to its cleanliness and *** water splitting offers a sustainable pathway for hydrogen ***,the kinetic rate of the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is sluggish,emphasizing the critical need for stable and highly active electrocatalysts to facilitate HER and enhance reaction *** metal-based catalysts have garnered attention for their favorable catalytic activity in electrochemical hydrogen evolution in alkaline *** this investigation,flower-like nanorods of MoS_(2) were directly synthesized in situ on a nickel foam substrate,followed by the formation of MoP/MoS_(2)-nickel foam(NF)heterostructures through high-temperature phosphating in a tube furnace *** findings reveal that MoP/MoS_(2)-NF-450 exhibits outstanding electrocatalytic performance in an alkaline milieu,demonstrating a low overpotential(90 mV)and remarkable durability at a current density of 10 mA/cm^(2).Comprehensive analysis indicates that the introduction of phosphorus(P)atoms enhances the synergistic effect with MoS_(2),while the distinctive flower-like nanorod structure of MoS_(2) exposes more active ***,the interface between the MoP/MoS_(2) heterostructure and NF facilitates electron transfer during hydrogen evolution,thereby enhancing electrocatalytic *** design and synthesis of such catalysts offer a valuable approach for the development of high-performance hydrogen evolution electrocatalysts.

Designing materials that mitigate impacts effectively are crucial for protecting people and ***,a single-resonator metamaterial with negative mass characteristics is proposed for impact mitigation,and numerical analysis of wave propagation shows explicitly how the spring stiffness and number of unit cells influence that *** results show clearly that a metamaterial with differing microstructural stiffness is better at mitigating the effect of a shock wave than one with a unique ***,there is a critical number of unit cells beyond which the shock wave is not attenuated further,but the fabrication complexity *** the 40 groups of microstructural regions in this example,the attenuation effect no longer increases when there are more than 35 *** work offers guidance for microstructure designs in metamaterials and provides new ideas for using metamaterials to mitigate shock waves.

As an ideal secondary energy source,hydrogen has the title of clean energy and the product of its complete combustion is only water,which is not polluting to the *** hydrogen production technology is an environmentally friendly,safe,and low-cost strategy that requires only an inexhaustible amount of solar energy and water as *** paper provides a detailed and detailed review of S-scheme heterojunction photocatalysts for photocatalytic hydrogen production,mainly including TiO_(2)-based,Perovskite-based,CdS-based,Graphitic phase carbon nitride-based,COF-based graphdiyne-based,ZnO-based,and ZnIn_(2)S_(4)-based S-scheme heterojunction *** classification of S-scheme heterojunctions is ***’s more,various characterizations for direct verification of the charge migration mechanism of S-scheme heterojunctions are *** on the present study,the future potential challenges and future research trends for S-scheme heterojunctions in photocatalytic hydrogen evolution technology are pointed out,which provides feasible strategies for the development and design of S-scheme heterojunction photocatalysts in the field of photocatalytic hydrogen evolution.

Constrained reinforcement learning with statewise projection: a control barrier function approach

Safety is a critical issue for reinforcement learning(RL), as it may be risky for some actual applications if the learning process involves unsafe exploration. Instead of formulating constraints as expectationbased in constrained RL, considering statewise safety in constrained RL is more meaningful. This work aims to address the issue of safe projection in RL by introducing a control barrier function that inherently learns a safe policy through a set certificate. We seek to analyze some theoretical properties of safe projection in the learning process, including convergence and performance bound, and extend the discussion into ensembles and guided controllers. Moreover, we approach analytical solutions for deterministic and stochastic system dynamics. Experimental results in different tasks show that the proposed method achieves better effects in terms of both performance and safety.

Ni-Cu bimetallic alloy anchored on nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes for CO_(2)-to-CH_(4)electrochemical conversion

Electrocatalytic CO_(2)reduction to CH_(4)remains challenging due to multi-electron transfer and intermediates ***,we synthesized electrocatalysts by growing Ni-Cu alloy structure on nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes(NixCuy-NCNT)for electrocatalytic CO_(2)reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)via hydrothermal method followed by *** optimized Ni_(1)Cu_(1)-NCNT demonstrated a superior CO_(2)RR performance,achieving 99.7%FECH_(4)(FE=Faradaic efficiency)and 11.54 mA·cm^(−2)current density at−1.2 V *** hydrogen electrode(RHE),which outperformed single metal *** outstanding performance was due to the electrons transferred from Cu to Ni and Ni-Cu alloy shifted the d-band center toward the Fermi level,which was more conducive to the intermediate *** situ electrochemical attenuated total reflection(EC-ATR)and density functional theory(DFT)calculations revealed the appearance of*CHO intermediate and the pathway during the CO_(2)RR *** design of the bimetallic electrocatalyst in this study provides a new perspective for the highly selective reduction of CO_(2).

In this paper,we explore a distributed collaborative caching and computing model to support the distribution of adaptive bit rate video *** aim is to reduce the average initial buffer delay and improve the quality of user *** the difference between global and local video popularities and the time-varying characteristics of video popularity,a two-stage caching scheme is proposed to push popular videos closer to users and minimize the average initial buffer *** on both long-term content popularity and short-term content popularity,the proposed caching solution is decouple into the proactive cache stage and the cache update *** the proactive cache stage,we develop a proactive cache placement algorithm that can be executed in an off-peak *** the cache update stage,we propose a reactive cache update algorithm to update the existing cache policy to minimize the buffer *** results verify that the proposed caching algorithms can reduce the initial buffer delay efficiently.

Genome sequencing provides insights into Caprifoliaceae genome evolution and the mechanism underlying second blooming phenomenon in Heptacodium miconioides

Plants of the Caprifoliaceae family are widely cultivated worldwide as ornamental plants owing to their numerous,sweet-smelling,beautiful flowers and *** miconioides Rehd.,a member of the family,is endemic to eastern China and is cultivated as a popular ornamental plant in North America and European *** has a rather novel and beautiful trait of high horticultural value,that is,its sepals persist and enlarge,turning purplish ***,we report the chromosome-level genome assembly of *** to understand its evolution and floral *** 622.28 Mb assembled genome harbored a shared whole-genome duplication with a related species,Lonicera *** genomic analysis suggested that chromosome fission events following genome duplication underlie the unusual chromosome number of these two species,as well as chromosome fission of another five chromosomes in ***,giving rise to a haploid chromosome number of 14(versus 9 in ***).In addition,based on transcriptome and chloroplast genome analysis of 17 representative species in the Caprifoliaceae,we assumed that large structural variations in the chromosomes of *** were not caused by *** in the candidate genes of the MADS-box family were detected in the *** genome,including AP1-,AP3-,and SEPexpanded,which might underlie the sepal elongation and development in this *** current findings provided a critical resource for genome evolution studies in Caprifoliaceae and it was an example of how multi-omics data can elucidate the regulation of important ornamental traits.

Adaptive Bistable Stochastic Resonance Based Weak Signal Reception in Additive Laplacian Noise

Weak signal reception is a very important and challenging problem for communication systems especially in the presence of non-Gaussian noise,and in which case the performance of optimal linear correlated receiver degrades *** at this,a novel uncorrelated reception scheme based on adaptive bistable stochastic resonance(ABSR)for a weak signal in additive Laplacian noise is *** analyzing the key issue that the quantitative cooperative resonance matching relationship between the characteristics of the noisy signal and the nonlinear bistable system,an analytical expression of the bistable system parameters is *** this basis,by means of bistable system parameters self-adaptive adjustment,the counterintuitive stochastic resonance(SR)phenomenon can be easily generated at which the random noise is changed into a benefit to assist signal ***,it is demonstrated that approximately 8dB bit error ratio(BER)performance improvement for the ABSR-based uncorrelated receiver when compared with the traditional uncorrelated receiver at low signal to noise ratio(SNR)conditions varying from-30dB to-5dB.

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide treatment confers resistance to neonatal ischemia and hypoxia:effects on neurobehavioral phenotypes

Neonatal hypoxic-ischemic brain injury is the main cause of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy and cerebral ***,there are few effective clinical treatments for neonatal hypoxic-ischemic brain ***,we investigated the neuroprotective and molecular mechanisms of exogenous nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide,which can protect against hypoxic injury in adulthood,in a mouse model of neonatal hypoxic-ischemic brain *** this study,nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(5 mg/kg)was intraperitoneally administered 30 minutes befo re surgery and every 24 hours *** results showed that nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide treatment improved body weight,brain structure,adenosine triphosphate levels,oxidative damage,neurobehavioral test outcomes,and seizure threshold in experimental *** mass tag proteomics revealed that numerous proteins were altered after nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide treatment in hypoxic-ischemic brain injury *** reaction monitoring and western blotting confirmed changes in the expression levels of proteins including serine(or cysteine)peptidase inhibitor,clade A,member 3N,fibronectin 1,5'-nucleotidase,cytosolic IA,microtubule associated protein 2,and complexin *** analyses showed that nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide ameliorated hypoxic-ischemic injury through inflammation-related signaling pathways(e.g.,nuclear factor-kappa B,mitogen-activated protein kinase,and phosphatidylinositol 3 kinase/protein kinase B).These findings suggest that nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide treatment can improve neurobehavioral phenotypes in hypoxic-ischemic brain injury mice through inflammation-related pathways.

Carbon emission quantification and reduction in pavement use phase:A review

The carbon emissions arising from road pavement infrastructures have emerged as critical issue in recent *** life cycle of a pavement can be divided into five phases,namely raw materials and production,construction,use,maintenance and end of *** the use phase generates the highest carbon emissions throughout the pavement's life cycle,it is usually neglected in most pavement life cycle assessment(LCA)studies due to its complexity and ***,this review selected 126 relevant references,focuses on quantification methods,influential factors and reduction technologies of carbon emissions in pavement use *** the carbon accounting approached,the LCA approach,remains the most widely used for evaluating the environmental impact of ***,the primary influential factors on the use phase'carbon emission include pavement-vehicle interaction primarily affected by pavement roughness,pavement albedo and climate *** influential factors above indirectly cause changes in carbon emissions by influencing the pavement performance and subsequent vehicle ***,the review surveys carbon emission reduction technologies during pavement use phase,focusing mainly on reducing pavement rolling resistance and constructing cool *** pavements and permeable pavements are the most widely used cool pavement ***,the aspects involved in this paper hold significant promise for quantifying and reducing carbon emissions in the pavement use phase.
