Backgro.nd o.arian fo.licular fluid(FF)is a dynamic enviro.ment that changes with the seaso.s,affecting fo.licle develo.ment,o.ulatio.,and o.cyte *** in the fo.licles release tiny particles called extracellular vesicles(EVs)co.taining vital regulato.y mo.ecules,such as micro.NAs(miRNAs).These miRNAs are pivo.al in facilitating co.mu-nicatio. within the fo.licles thro.gh diverse signaling and info.matio. transfer ***-co.pled miRNA signaling is implicated to.be asso.iated with o.arian functio.,fo.licle and o.cyte gro.th and respo.se to.vario.s enviro.men-tal ***,we investigated ho. seaso.al variatio.s directly influence the o.ulato.y and ano.ulato.y states o. o.arian fo.licles and ho. are they asso.iated with fo.licular fluid EV-co.pled miRNA dynamics in *** Ultraso.o.raphic mo.ito.ing and fo.licular fluid aspiratio. o. preo.ulato.y fo.licles in ho.ses during the ano.vulato.y(spring:no.-breeding)and o.ulato.y(spring,summer,and fall:breeding)seaso.s and subsequent EV iso.a-tio. and miRNA pro.iling identified significant variatio. in EV-miRNA cargo.*** identified 97 miRNAs with dif-ferential expressio. amo.g the gro.ps and specific clusters o. miRNAs invo.ved in the spring transitio.(miR-149,-200b,-206,-221,-328,and-615)and peak breeding perio.(including miR-143,-192,-451,-302b,-100,and let-7c).Bio.nfo.matic analyses sho.ed enrichments in vario.s bio.o.ical functio.s,e.g.,transcriptio. facto. activity,transcrip-tio. and transcriptio. regulatio.,nucleic acid binding,sequence-specific DNA binding,p53 signaling,and po.t-trans-latio.al *** analyses revealed distinct sets o. significantly up-and do.n-regulated miRNAs asso.i-ated with spring ano.ulato.y(Cluster 1)and summer o.ulatio.–the peak breeding seaso.(Clusters 4 and 6).Co.clusio.s The findings fro. the current study shed light o. the dynamics o. Backgro.nd: Hybrid Amelo.lasto.a is a rare type o. amelo.lasto.a that is presently receiving attentio. in so.e quarters. Alto.ether, less than 30 cases have been repo.ted in the scientific literature, thus calling fo. the need to.repo.t mo.e cases in o.der to.add to.the bo.y o. kno.ledge o. this lesio.. This case repo.t is aimed to.add to.the number o. cases that are building up in the scientific literature. Materials and Metho.s: A 50-year-o.d female presented with a 3-year histo.y o. an anterio. mandibular swelling extending fro. the bo.y o. the mandible o. the right to.the bo.y o. the mandible o. the left. o.tho.anto.o.raph o. the lesio. revealed a mixed radio.ucent and radio.aque lesio. that extended fro. the distal regio. o. the right mandibular seco.d premo.ar to.distal regio. o. the left mandibular seco.d mo.ar. Segmental mandibulecto.y with immediate replacement with reco.structio. was undertaken. Results: Specimen which was subjected to.histo.atho.o.ic examinatio. repo.ted a diagno.is o. Keratinizing Fo.licular Amelo.lasto.a and Desmo.lastic Amelo.lasto.a with o.teo.lasia, co.sistent with a diagno.is o. Hybrid Amelo.lasto.a. There has been no.sign o. recurrence 7 mo.ths after a regular fo.lo.-up and the patient is planned fo. a lo.g term fo.lo.-up. Co.clusio.: Besides histo.o.ical details that co.bine bo.h co.ventio.al amelo.lasto.a and desmo.lastic amelo.lasto.a, the present case o. hybrid amelo.lasto.a bears similar clinical features as well as treatment mo.alities to.that o. co.ventio.al so.id multicystic amelo.lasto.a.

Aims and o.jectives: The aim o. the study was to.co.pare the effect o. co.plete and partial wo.nd clo.ures o. po.to.erative sequelae and co.plicatio.s after surgical remo.al o. impacted mandibular third mo.ars. Patients and Metho.s: o.e hundred and twenty patients who.required 121 surgical extractio.s o. mandibular impacted third mo.ars were included in the study. Patients were rando.ly divided into.2 gro.ps based o. wo.nd clo.ure after surgery. In gro.p 1 (co.plete wo.nd clo.ure, n1 = 60) patients had their extractio. so.kets co.pletely clo.ed by muco.al flap while in gro.p 2 (partial wo.nd clo.ure, n2 = 60) patients had their extractio. so.kets partially clo.ed. Data co.lected included maximum inter-incisal distance (MID) and facial width which were reco.ded bo.h preo.eratively and po.to.eratively. What also.reco.ded were po.to.erative pain intensity and po.to.erative co.plicatio.s. Results: There were 50 (41.7%) males and 70 (58.3%) females (male to.female ratio.o. 1:1.4);age range was 18-40 years and the mean was 26 ± 10 years. The mean ages o. patients in bo.h gro.ps sho.ed no.significant difference (gro.p 1 = 26.5 ± 7.2;gro.p 2 = 27.1 ± 8.1). The pain was maximal at the first po.to.erative day review and it gradually reduced in intensity to.ards the preo.erative values fo. bo.h gro.ps. The pain perceptio.sin patients in gro.p 2 were ho.ever significantly lo.er than tho.e o. gro.p 1 o. days 1 and 3 but no. statistically different o. day 7. The mean difference in the po.to.erative and preo.erative MID was greatest o. the 1st po.to.erative day and gradually became smaller o. the subsequent review days. Co.pariso. o. this mean difference between the 2 gro.ps ho.ever sho.ed a significant difference in the 2 gro.ps o.ly o. day 7. Maximal swelling was no.ed in bo.h gro.ps o. the third po.to.erative day. Backgro.nd: The decisio. to.breastfeed is largely dependent o. mo.hers’ breastfeeding kno.ledge and attitude which are usually fo.med in their ado.escence and early adultho.d. It is impo.tant to.fo.us research o. female yo.ng adult who.are at the verge o. stepping into.mo.herho.d. Metho.s: The breastfeeding kno.ledge, attitude and intentio. o. 457 female yo.ng adults in Ibadan, Nigeria were assessed thro.gh validated breastfeeding kno.ledge, attitude and intentio. scales. Results: Majo.ity (87.5%) o. the respo.dents had never given birth and 74.6% had previo.sly participated in breastfeeding discussio.s. Abo.t half (52.1%) knew breastfeeding sho.ld be initiated within o.e ho.r o. birth while 49.9% repo.ted that pre-lacteal feed sho.ld no. be given to.newbo.n babies. Co.rect definitio. o. exclusive breastfeeding was given by two.third o. the respo.dents and three-quarter specified that breastfeeding was beneficial to.bo.h mo.her and child. o.erall 43.1% o. the respo.dents had go.d breastfeeding kno.ledge. Abo.t 80% o. the respo.dents agreed that breastfeeding sho.ld be initiated within o.e ho.r after delivery, 37.8% were o. the o.inio. that breast milk o.ly was no. sufficient fo. infants in the first 6 mo.ths o. life while abo.t half o. the respo.dents agreed that water sho.ld be intro.uced to.babies befo.e 6 mo.ths. In all, 53.8% had po.itive attitude to.ards breastfeeding. o.ly a third o. the respo.dents had go.d breastfeeding intentio. altho.gh 90.6% claimed that they intended to.breastfeed. o.ly 35.9% indicated to.have kno.n all it to.k to.breastfeed and 54% intended to.intro.uce breastmilk within 1 ho.r o. birth while 60% had the intentio. o. breastfeeding exclusively. Tapio.a is a cassava-based fo.d pro.uct made in the fo.m o. irregular lumps o. partly gelatinized starch grits. Tapio.a was enriched with varying pro.o.tio.s o. so.bean flo.r (0, 85% - 15%, 75% - 25%, 50% - 50%) to.pro.uce So.-tapio.a (ST). Nutrient and anti-nutrient co.po.itio. o. ST were determined by standard metho.s, while senso.y evaluatio. was also.carried o.t. Results sho.ed significant increase in pro.ein, fat and mineral co.tents o. tapio.a as the level o. so.-substitutio. increased. There was a decrease in the cyano.enic po.ential and an increase in the level o. trypsin inhibito. as so.-substitutio. increased. Tannin, phytic acid and o.alate co.tents o. the so.-tapio.a samples were belo. minimum levels o. safety. ST (50% - 50%) was mo.e nutrient dense than the o.her pro.ucts, but ST (85% - 15%) was mo.e accepted in terms o. co.o.r, taste and texture. ST suggests a safe, nutritio.s and acceptable fo.d pro.uct that can enhance fo.d and nutritio. security amo.g cassava co.suming po.ulatio.s.
