AIM:To describe the clinical and epidemiologic profiles of the disease and to compare the findings with those generated from the previous hospital-based ***:The Gharbiah cancer registry is the only population-based cancer registry in Egypt since *** analyzed the data of all colorectal cancer patients included in the registry for the period of *** medical records of the 1364 patients diagnosed in Gharbiah during the study period were retrieved and the following information abstracted:age,residence,diagnosis date,grade,stage,topology,clinical characteristics,and histology *** census data for 1996 and 2006 were used to provide the general population's statistics on age,sex,residence and other related demographic *** addition to age-and sex-specific incidence rate analyses,we analyze the data to explore the incidence distribution by rural-urban differences among the 8 districts of the *** also compared the incidence rates of Gharbiah to the rates of the surveillance Epidemiology and End Results(sEER) data of the United ***:Over the 9 year-period,1364 colorectal cancer cases were *** disease incidence under age 40 years was relatively high(1.3/10 5) while the incidence in the age groups 40 and over was very low(12.0/10 5,19.4/10 5 and 21.2/10 5 in the age groups 40-59 years,60-69 years and > 70 years,respectively).The vast majority of tumors(97.2%) had no polyps and 37.2% of the patients presented with primary lesions in the *** cancer was more common in patients from urban(55%) than rural(45%) *** differences in colon and rectal cancer incidence in the 8 districts of the study province may reflect different etiologic patterns in this *** registry data of Egypt shows a slightly higher incidence of colorectal cancer than the United states in subjects under age 40 *** results also shows significantly lower incidence of colorectal cancer in subjects over age

A theory of tailing wavetrain generation for the precursor soliton generation in two-layer flow is presented by using averaged KdV equations (AKdV), which are derived by the authors in terms of Whitham's method of averaging([1,2]). From the AKdV equations, group velocities of the tailing wavetrain generation are obtained by means of generating conditions of the tailing wavetrains, furthermore an analytical solution of the tailing wavetrain generation is found theoretically. A comparison between the theoretical and numerical results is carried out in the present paper, which shows that the theoretical results are in good agreement with the numerical ones, obtained from the fKdV equation in two-layer flow with the depth of unity in the rest.

Mitigating the heat stress via a derivative policy is a vital financial option for agricultural producers and other business sectors to strategically adapt to the climate change scenario. This study has provided an approach to identifying heat stress events and pricing the heat stress weather derivative due to persistent days of high surface air temperature （sAT）. Cooling degree days （CDD） are used as the weather index for trade. In this study, a call-option model was used as an example for calculating the price of the index. Two heat stress indices were developed to describe the severity and physical impact of heat waves. The daily Global Historical Climatology Network （GHCN-D） sAT data from 1901 to 2007 from the southern California, UsA, were used. A major California heat wave that occurred 20-25 October 1965 was studied. The derivative price was calculated based on the call-option model for both long-term station data and the interpolated grid point data at a regular 0.1~ x0.1~ latitude-longitude grid. The resulting comparison indicates that （a） the interpolated data can be used as reliable proxy to price the CDD and （b） a normal distribution model cannot always be used to reliably calculate the CDD price. In conclusion, the data, models, and procedures described in this study have potential application in hedging agricultural and other risks.

The long-wavelength behavior of vibrational modes plays a central role in carrier transport,phonon-assisted optical properties,superconductivity,and thermomechanical and thermoelectric properties of ***,we present general invariance and equilibrium conditions of the lattice potential;these allow to recover the quadratic dispersions of flexural phonons in low-dimensional materials,in agreement with the phenomenological model for long-wavelength bending *** also prove that for any low-dimensional material the bending modes can have a purely out-of-plane polarization in the vacuum direction and a quadratic dispersion in the long-wavelength *** addition,we propose an effective approach to treat invariance conditions in crystals with non-vanishing Born effective charges where the long-range dipole-dipole interactions induce a contribution to the lattice potential and stress *** approach is successfully applied to the phonon dispersions of 158 two-dimensional materials,highlighting its critical relevance in the study of phonon-mediated properties of low-dimensional materials.

The study aimed to assess the clinical, laboratory, and blood gas analysis of horses undergoing Marcha training and the effects of voluntary ingestion of hydroelectrolytic and energy replenishers after exercise. Eight horses of both genders aged between 5 and 10 years, were included in the study. The exercise consisted of a 10-min warm-up followed by 45 min uninterrupted Marcha on a flat dirt track in the morning. After exercise, the horses received one of the following treatments: Drinking water (control group);Hydroelectrolytic and energy replenisher containing sodium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium acetate, magnesium chloride, sodium citrate, dextrose, maltodextrin, and sucrose in three different concentrations (Replenishers A, B, and C). The horses were distributed across the four treatments in a 4 × 4 Latin squares design using a split-plot system with 48-hr intervals. Clinical and laboratory evaluations were conducted at four time points: T0 - 5 min before exercise;T1 - up to 5 min after exercise;T2 - 2 hr after starting treatment;and T4 - 4 hr after beginning treatment. Concentrations of urea, creatinine, lactate, phosphorus, and ionized calcium significantly changed after exercise. An increase in blood pH and a decrease in chloride concentrations were observed when replenishers B and C were offered after exercise. The replacements were ingested spontaneously by the animals in a volume greater than that of the control group (water). Replacement B was the most ingested by the animals, demonstrating its greatest potential.

As new technologies emerge data centers and servers have established themselves as one of the largest and fastest growing consumers of *** switched capacitor converter topologies have some very attractive features,namely low reliance on magnetic components and high efficiency,several critical factors have prevented their adoption in high current data center *** family of converters proposed are novel intermediate bus converter that demonstrates the highest performance yet achieved for 48 V to 12 V conversion with up to 2.5 kW/in^(3) power density,higher than 99% peak efficiency,and 97.2% full load efficiency for 12 V/70 A *** reduction of voltage stress across the MOsFETs as well as extremely low reliance on magnetics are the key driving factors behind this high efficiency and power density,and are achieved without a sensitive resonant design or the usage of complex control technique.

Cardiac resynchronization therapy(CRT)has emerged as an important intervention for patients with heart failure(HF)with reduced ejection fraction and delayed ventricular *** these patients,CRT has demonstrated to improve quality of life,promote reverse left ventricular(LV)remodeling,reduce HF hospitalizations,and extend ***,despite advancements in our understanding of CRT,a significant number of patients do not respond to this *** invasive and non-invasive parameters have been assessed to predict response to CRT,but the electrocardiogram(ECG)has remained as the prevailing screening method albeit with ***,an accurate,simple,and reproducible ECG marker or set of markers would dramatically overcome the current *** describe the clinical utility of an old ECG parameter that can estimate ventricular activation delay:the onset to intrinsicoid deflection(ID).Based on the concept of direct measurement of ventricular activation time(intrinsic deflection onset),time to ID onset measures on the surface ECG the time that the electrical activation time takes to reach the area subtended by the corresponding surface ECG *** on this principle,the time to ID on the lateral leads can estimate the delay activation to the lateral LV wall and can be used as a predictor for CRT response,particularly in patients with non-specific intraventricular conduction delay or in patients with left bundle branch block and QRss review is to present the current evidence and potential use of this ECG parameter to estimate LV activation and predict CRT response.

An fKdV equation of two-layer how and an averaged fKdV equation (AfKdV equation) with respect to phase are derived to determine the theoretical amplitude and period of the precursor solitons in the present paper. In terms of the AfKdV equation derived by the authors, a new theory on the precursor soliton generation based on Lee et al.'s concept is presented. Concepts of asymptotic mean hydraulic fall and level are introduced in our analysis, and the theoretical amplitude and period both depend on the asymptotic mi-an levels and stratified parameters. From the present theoretical results, it is obtained that when the moving velocity of the topography is at the resonant points, there exist two general relations: (1) amplitude relation (A) over circle = 2F, (2) period relation = -8m(1)m(3)(-1)root 6m(4)m(3)(-1)F, in which (A) over circle and are the amplitude and period of the precursor solitons at the resonant points respectively, m(1), m(3) and m(4) are coefficients of the fKdV equation, and F is asymptotic mean half-hydraulic fall at subcritical cutoff points. The theoretical results of this paper are compared with experiments and numerical calculations of two-layer flow over a semicircular topography and all these results are in good agreement. Due to the canonical character of the coefficients of fKdV equations, this theory also holds for any two-dimensional system, which can be reduced to fKdV equations.
