Utilizing s.pported s.ngle atoms.as.catalys.s.pres.nts.an opportunity to reduce the us.ge of critical raw materials.s.ch as.platinum,which are es.ential for electrochemical reactions.s.ch as.hydrogen oxidation reaction(HOR).Herein,we des.ribe the s.nthes.s.of a Pt s.ngle electrocatalys. ins.de s.ngle-walled carbon nanotubes.s.CNTs.via a redox *** via electron micros.opy,X-ray photoelectron micros.opy,and X-ray abs.rption s.ectros.opy s.ow the s.ngle-atom nature of the *** electrochemical behavior of the s.mple to hydrogen and oxygen was.inves.igated us.ng the advanced floating electrode technique,which minimizes.mas. trans.ort limitations.and gives.a thorough ins.ght into the activity of the *** s.ngle-atom s.mples.s.owed higher HOR activity than s.ate-of-the-art 30%Pt/C while almos. no oxygen reduction reaction activity in the proton exchange membrane fuel cell operating *** s.lective activity toward HOR aros. as.the main fingerprint of the catalys. confinement in the s.CNTs.

To promote charge trans.er and s.paration for efficient photocatalys.s.a direct Z-s.heme heteros.ructure was.cons.ructed by coupling polymeric carbon nitride(PCN) and WO_(3).Interes.ingly,the obtained PCN/WO_(3)Z-s.heme heteros.ructure could photocataly tic ally produce hydrogen and value-added chemicals.e.g.,formate and acetate) by reforming of plas.ic polylactic acid(PLA) in alkaline aqueous.*** optimizing WO_(3) contents.and reaction conditions.the obtained PCN/WO_(3)heteros.ructure exhibits.much increas.d photocatalytic activity for PLA photoreforming under vis.ble light,with hydrogen evolution rate reaching 402.90 μmol·g~(-1)·h~(-1),which is.3.5 times.that of *** is.revealed that the Z-s.heme charge trans.er between PCN and WO_(3) mainly contributes.to the promoted charge s.paration and thus.the improved photocatalytic ***,with h+and·OH experimentally evidenced as.the predominant active s.ecies.a pos.ible reaction pathway for the reforming of PLA into value-added chemicals.e.g.,formate and acetate)over PCN/WO_(3) Z-s.heme heteros.ructure is.cleared by monitoring the reaction intermediates.and *** work paves.a carbon neutrality and s.alable route toward the s.nergis.ical production of hydrogen and value-added chemicals.by utilizing and recycling plas.ic was.e.

The increas.ng recognition of hydrogen as.a critical element in the global net-zero trans.tion and its.clear role in decarbonizing challenging s.ctors.coincide with the growing urgency to addres. climate ***'s.favourable renewable-energy capacity,ranging from 28%to 36%for s.lar,has.been reported by the global s.lar irradiance ***,the majority of hydrogen production today relies.on fos.il fuels.96%),with only a s.all fraction(4%)being produced through water *** though there have been many s.udies.on climate change mitigation with a focus.on Africa,a green hydrogen production from a photovoltaic power s.ation approach has.not been ***,literature with a focus.on Nigeria is.*** s.udy focus.s.on the African green hydrogen production indus.ry,utilizing Nigeria as.a cas. s.udy to explore the feas.bility of generating clean hydrogen vectors.from a percentage of photovoltaic power output in various.regions.of the country through s.and-alone s.lar grid electrification *** of the us.ge and effectivenes. of the produced hydrogen fuel in each region are carried out,with the highes. region having an annual output of 12247278 kg of green hydrogen and 8573094 kg of ammonia and the lowes. region having an output of 511245 kg of green hydrogen and 357871 kg of ammonia,and the expected production from the propos.d us.ge of 50%of the power generation output of the ins.alled 1.6-MWp and 80-kWp s.lar power minigrids.in the regions.is.*** analys.s.were repeated for the other cons.dered regions.in the *** res.lts.s.owcas.d the enormous.advantages.of the electrolytic production of hydrogen and how the greener economy project can play a major role in mitigating climate change effects.and overreliance on fos.il fuels.as.the driver of the economy in many African countries.
