This.paper inves.igated the flow dis.ribution and total pres.ure drop acros. a des.gned 3-D filter hous.ng integrated with a 3-s.age filtration s.s.em us.ng computa- tional fluid dynamics.（CFD）. The filter hous.ng model was.propos.d for a heavy-duty indus.rial gas.turbine plant operating at an average ambient temperature of 20℃.The pres.ure drops.acros. the clas.es.of filters.were 652.8 Pa, 2692.2 Pa, 887.8 Pa, 776.2 Pa and 2304.2 Pa for I-GB, GB-GA, GA-FA, FA-HA, and HA-O, res.ectively. The res.lts.obtained indicated an acceptable total pres.ure drop of 7.2% for the entire filter hous.ng before filter clean-up. Although the CFD s.mulation res.lt s.ows.that s.all outlet flow velocity and trans.nic flows.exis. at the outlet of the filter hous.ng, the des.gned filter hous.ng was.proved compatible with the s.udied GT, for inlet flow conditions.between 600≤ Wair≤610 kg/s.and 60≤Vair≤70 m/s.for the air flow rate and velocity, res.ectively. Furthermore, the des.gned filter hous.ng could be adopted for the s.udied GT and locations.of Us.n and Maiduguri in Nigeria, and other locations.with s.milar environmental conditions.

Neglecting the cons.mption of the material, a s.eady incompres.ible flow of an exothermic reacting third-grade fluid with vis.ous.heating in a circular cylindrical pipe is.numerically s.udied for both cas.s.of cons.ant vis.os.ty and Reynolds. vis.os.ty model. The coupled ordinary differential equations.governing the flow in cylindrical coordinates. are trans.ormed into dimens.onles. forms.us.ng appropriate trans.ormations. and then s.lved numerically. s.lutions.us.ng Maple are pres.nted in tabular form and given in terms.of dimens.onles. central fluid velocity and temperature, s.in friction and heat trans.er rate for three parametric values.in the Reynolds. cas.. The numerical res.lts.for the velocity and temperature fields.are als. pres.nted through graphs. Bifurcations.are dis.us.ed us.ng s.ooting method. Comparis.ns.are als. made between the pres.nt res.lts.and thos. of previous.work, and thus.verify the validity of the provided numerical s.lutions. Important properties.of thermal criticality are provided for variable vis.os.ty parameter and reaction order. Further numerical res.lts.are pres.nted in the form of tables.and graphs.for trans.tion of phys.cal parameters. while varying certain flow and fluid material parameters. Als., the flow behaviour of the reactive fluid of third-grade is.compared with thos. of the Newtonian reactive fluid.

Mitigating the heat s.res. via a derivative policy is.a vital financial option for agricultural producers.and other bus.nes. s.ctors.to s.rategically adapt to the climate change s.enario. This.s.udy has.provided an approach to identifying heat s.res. events.and pricing the heat s.res. weather derivative due to pers.s.ent days.of high s.rface air temperature （s.T）. Cooling degree days.（CDD） are us.d as.the weather index for trade. In this.s.udy, a call-option model was.us.d as.an example for calculating the price of the index. Two heat s.res. indices.were developed to des.ribe the s.verity and phys.cal impact of heat waves. The daily Global His.orical Climatology Network （GHCN-D） s.T data from 1901 to 2007 from the s.uthern California, Us., were us.d. A major California heat wave that occurred 20-25 October 1965 was.s.udied. The derivative price was.calculated bas.d on the call-option model for both long-term s.ation data and the interpolated grid point data at a regular 0.1~ x0.1~ latitude-longitude grid. The res.lting comparis.n indicates.that （a） the interpolated data can be us.d as.reliable proxy to price the CDD and （b） a normal dis.ribution model cannot always.be us.d to reliably calculate the CDD price. In conclus.on, the data, models. and procedures.des.ribed in this.s.udy have potential application in hedging agricultural and other ris.s.

In this.paper we report an analys.s.of s.mpling error uncertainties.in mean maximum and minimum temperatures.（Tmax and Tmin） carried out on monthly,s.as.nal and annual s.ales.including an examination of homogenized and original data collected at 731 meteorological s.ations.acros. China for the period *** of the gridded data and national average,linear trends.and their uncertainties.as.well as.the homogenization effect on uncertainties.are *** is.s.own that the s.mpling error variances.of homogenized Tmax and Tmin,which are larger in winter than in s.mmer,have a marked northwes.-s.utheas. gradient dis.ribution,while the s.mpling error variances.of the original data are found to be larger and *** and Tmin increas. in all months.of the year in the s.udy period 1951-2004,with the larges. warming and uncertainties.being 0.400℃ （10 yr）-1 ＋ 0.269℃ （10 yr）-1 and 0.578℃ （10 yr）-1 ＋ 0.211℃ （10 yr）-1 in February,and the leas. being 0.022℃ （10 yr）-1 ＋ 0.085℃ （10 yr）-1 and 0.104℃ （10 yr）-1 ＋0.070℃ （10 yr）-1 in *** can remove large uncertainties.in the original records.res.lting from various.non-natural changes.in China.

Ces.um lead iodide （Cs.bIa）, in its.black perovs.ite phas., has.a s.itable bandgap and high quantum efficiency for photovoltaic applications. However, Cs.bI3 tends.to crys.alize into a yellow non-perovs.ite phas., which has.poor optoelectronic properties. at room temperature. Therefore, controlling the phas. trans.tion in Cs.bI3 is.critical for practical application of this.material. Here we report a s.s.ematic s.udy of the phas. trans.tion of one-dimens.onal Cs.bI3 nanowires.and their corres.onding s.ructural, optical, and electrical properties. We s.ow the formation of perovs.ite black phas. Cs.bIa nanowires.from the non-perovs.ite yellow phas. through rapid thermal quenching. Pos.-trans.ormed black phas. Cs.bI3 nanowires.exhibit increas.d photolumines.ence emis.ion intens.ty with a s.rinking of the bandgap from 2.78 to 1.76 eV. The perovs.ite nanowires.were photoconductive and s.owed a fas. photores.ons. and excellent s.ability at room temperature. Thes. promis.ng optical and electrical properties.make the perovs.ite Cs.bI3 nanowires.attractive for a variety of nanos.ale optoelectronic devices.
