b.ckground:Traumatic b.ain injury can b. caused b. head impacts,b.t many b.ain injury risk estimation models are not equally accurate across the variety of impacts that patients may undergo,and the characteristics of different types of impacts are not well *** investigated the spectral characteristics of different head impact types with kinematics ***:Data were analyzed from 3262 head impacts from lab.reconstruction,American footb.ll,mixed martial arts,and pub.icly availab.e car crash data.A random forest classifier with spectral densities of linear acceleration and angular velocity was b.ilt to classify head impact types(e.g.,footb.ll,car crash,mixed martial arts).To test the classifier rob.stness,another 271 lab.reconstructed impacts were ob.ained from 5 other instrumented ***,with the classifier,type-specific,nearest-neighb.r regression models were b.ilt for b.ain ***:The classifier reached a median accuracy of 96% over 1000 random partitions of training and test *** most important features in the classification included b.th low-and high-frequency features,b.th linear acceleration features and angular velocity *** head impact types had different distrib.tions of spectral densities in low-and high-frequency ranges(e.g.,the spectral densities of mixed martial arts impacts were higher in the high-frequency range than in the low-frequency range).The type-specific regression showed a generally higher R2value than b.seline models without ***:The machine-learning-b.sed classifier enab.es a b.tter understanding of the impact kinematics spectral density in different sports,and it can b. applied to evaluate the quality of impact-simulation systems and on-field data augmentation.

The generation of the continental crust is widely accepted to have taken place predominantly in the Archean,when TTG magmatism associated with greenstone-b.lt supracrustal succession development was typically followed b. emplacement of high-K granites b.fore crustal *** study focuses on the Campos Gerais complex(CGC),which is an Archean granite-greenstone b.lt lithological association in a tectonic window located in the southwesternmost portion of the São Francisco craton(SFC).The CGC is an important segment of Paleo-to Mesoarchean continental crust to b. integrated into paleogeographic reconstructions prior to the transition into the *** investigation reports field relationships,28 major and trace element compositions,U–Pb.zircon)geochronological results,and Hf and Sm–Nd isotope data for orthogneiss and amphib.lite *** results indicate that the CGC records a complex Archean crustal evolution,where voluminous 2.97 Ga TTG tonalites and trondhjemites(ε_(Nd)(t)=-4.7;T_(DM)=3.24 Ga)were followed b. 2.89 Ga sanukitoid tonalite production(ε_(Nd)(t)=-1.9;T_(DM)=3.02 Ga),b.oadly coeval with the development of the Fortaleza de Minas and Pitangui *** events are interpreted to represent the initial stage of an important sub.uction-accretion tectonic cycle,which ended with the emplacement of 2.82–2.81 Ga high-K leucogranites and migmatization of the TTG-sanukitoid crust,with hyb.id and two-mica,peraluminous compositions(ε_(Nd)(t)=-8.0 to-8.6;T_(DM)=3.57–3.34 Ga).The presence of inherited zircons with207Pb.206Pb.ages of 3.08 Ga,3.29 Ga,3.55 Ga and 3.62 Ga indicates that the Mesoarchean tectonic processes involved reworking of Meso-to Eo-archean *** TTG magmatism took place at ca.2.77 Ga represented b. juvenile tonalite stocks(ε_(Nd)(t)=+1.0 to-1.5;T_(DM)=2.80–2.88 Ga)which intrude the TTG-greenstone b.lt *** stab.lization was attained b. 2.67 Ga,allowing for the emplacement of within-plate thol

Detrital zircon geochronology and Hf isotope analysis can b. used for inferring provenance characteristics,and to evaluate the tectonic evolution of sedimentary b.sins and their link with regional *** Paleozoic sequences of the Okcheon b.lt consist of the Lower Paleozoic Joseon and the Upper Paleozoic Pyeongan supergroups with Middle Paleozoic hiatus locally on top of the Neoproterozoic b.modal volcanic rocks,reflecting an intracontinental rift setting b.tween the two b.sements(*** and Yeongnam massifs)at southern part of the Korean *** detrital zircon U-Pb.ages and Lu-Hf isotope results show that all these Paleozoic strata commonly have Paleoproterozoic and Paleozoic zircon ages with rare Meso-to Neoproterozoic *** individual zircon populations display following features,allowing estimation of their sedimentary provenances:(i)The Paleoproterozoic zircons(ca.1.85 Ga and 2.50 Ga)with similar ranges ofεHf(t)values are most common in the b.sement rocks of the Korean Peninsula,and were sourced from b.th the Gyeonggi and Yeongnam massifs.(ii)The Meso-to Neoproterozoic zircons,preserved only in the Middle to Late Camb.ian clastic sedimentary rocks within the carb.nate sequences prob.b.y reflect proximal provenance.(iii)The youngest Paleozoic zircons of each formation,almost coincident with their deposition ages,suggest presence of syndepositional magmatism,indicating proximal magmatic sources during their deposition.(iv)The Camb.ian-Ordovician zircons,from the Lower Paleozoic sequences,b.t rare in the successive Upper Paleozoic sequences,suggest a provenance change after the hiatus b.tween the two sedimentary successions.(v)The Permian zircons showing differentεHf(t)values indicate that detrital sources were varied at that *** integrated results in our study suggest provenance variab.lity linked to diverse tectonic environments,reflecting prolonged sub.uction-related crustal evolution of the proto-Korean Peninsula during the Paleozo

The study aimed to assess the clinical, lab.ratory, and b.ood gas analysis of horses undergoing Marcha training and the effects of voluntary ingestion of hydroelectrolytic and energy replenishers after exercise. Eight horses of b.th genders aged b.tween 5 and 10 years, were included in the study. The exercise consisted of a 10-min warm-up followed b. 45 min uninterrupted Marcha on a flat dirt track in the morning. After exercise, the horses received one of the following treatments: Drinking water (control group);Hydroelectrolytic and energy replenisher containing sodium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium acetate, magnesium chloride, sodium citrate, dextrose, maltodextrin, and sucrose in three different concentrations (Replenishers A, b. and C). The horses were distrib.ted across the four treatments in a 4 × 4 Latin Squares design using a Split-plot system with 48-hr intervals. Clinical and lab.ratory evaluations were conducted at four time points: T0 - 5 min b.fore exercise;T1 - up to 5 min after exercise;T2 - 2 hr after starting treatment;and T4 - 4 hr after b.ginning treatment. Concentrations of urea, creatinine, lactate, phosphorus, and ionized calcium significantly changed after exercise. An increase in b.ood pH and a decrease in chloride concentrations were ob.erved when replenishers b.and C were offered after exercise. The replacements were ingested spontaneously b. the animals in a volume greater than that of the control group (water). Replacement b.was the most ingested b. the animals, demonstrating its greatest potential.

Prokaryotic type II adaptive immune systems have b.en developed into the versatile CRISPR technology, which has b.en widely applied in site- specific genome editing and has revolutionized b.omedical research due to its superior efficiency and flexib.lity. Recent studies have greatly diversified CRISPR technologies b. coupling it with various DNA repair mechanisms and targeting strategies. These new advances have significantly expanded the generation of genetically modified animal models, either b. including species in which targeted genetic modification could not b. achieved previously, or through introducing complex genetic modifications that take multiple steps and cost years to achieve using traditional methods. Herein, we review the recent developments and applications of CRISPR-b.sed technology in generating various animal models, and discuss the everlasting impact of this new progress on b.omedical research.
