Approximate Dynamic Inversion (ADI) is basically an approximation of exact dynamic inversionor feedback linearisation, which converts a nonlinear system to an equivalent linear *** method can be widely applied for controlling minimum phase, nonaffine-in-control *** applying the ADI method, a fast dynamic subsystem for deriving explicit inversion of thenonaffine equation is required. With full state feedback, ADI may be expressed in the same way asa Proportional Integral (PI) controller with only knowledge of the sign of control effectiveness andalso without any approximation. The Model Reference Adaptive Controller (MRAC) augmentedwith the PI method is an adaptive control technique where the PI parameters are updated/tunedas per the control methodology based on the MRAC-Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)rule so that the plant is capable to follow the reference model. The main objective of this paperis to find the relationship between ADI and MRAC augmented with a PI controller.

Climate change affects the environment and natural resources immensely. Rainfall, temperature and evapotranspiration are major parameters of climate affecting changes in the environment. Evapotrans- piration plays a key role in crop production and water balance of a region, one of the major parameters affected by climate change. The reference evapotranspiration or ETo is a calculated parameter used in this research. In the present study, changes in the future rainfall, minimum and maximum temperature, and ETo have been shown by downscaling the HadCM3 （Hadley Centre Coupled Model version 3） model data. The selected study area is located in a part of the Narmada river basin area in Madhya Pradesh in central India. The downscaled outputs of projected rainfall, ETo and temperatures have been shown for the 21st century with the HADCM3 data of A2 scenario by the Least Square Support Vector Machine （LS-SVM） model. The efficiency of the LS-SVM model was measured by different statistical methods. The selected predictors show considerable correlation with the rainfall and temperature and the application of this model has been done in a basin area which is an agriculture based region and is sensitive to the change of rainfall and temperature. Results showed an increase in the future rainfall, temperatures and ETo. The temperature increase is projected in the high rise of minimum temperature in winter time and the highest increase in maximum temperature is projected in the pre-monsoon season or from March to May. Highest increase is projected in the 2080s in 2081-2091 and 2091-2099 in maximum temperature and 2091-2099 in minimum temperature in all the stations. Winter maximum temperature has been observed to have increased in the future. High rainfall is also observed with higher ETo in some decades. In this paper, an adaptive full order sliding mode （FOSM） controller is proposed for strict feedback nonlinear systems with mismatched uncertainties. The design objective of the controller is to track a specified trajectory in presence of significant mismatched uncertainties. In the first step the dynamic model for the first state is considered by the desired tracking signal. After the first step the desired dynamic model for each state is defined by the previous one. An adaptive tuning law is developed for the FOSM controller to deal with the bounded system uncertainty. The major advantages offered by this adaptive FOSM controller are that advanced knowledge about the upper bound of the system uncertainties is not a necessary requirement and the proposed method is an effective solution for the chattering elimination from the control signal. The controller is designed considering the full-order sliding surface. System robustness and the stability of the controller are proved by using the Lyapunov technique. A systematic adaptive step by step design method using the full order sliding surface for mismatched nonlinear systems is presented, Simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed control law.

Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. punicae （Xap） causing bacterial blight is an important pathogen that incurs significant losses to the exportability of pomegranate. Xap uses the Xop TTSS-effector, via the type three secretion system, to suppress pomegranate immunity. Here, we investigate the role of XopL during blight pathogenesis. We observed that XopL is essential for its in planta growth and full virulence. Leaves inoculated with Xap AxopL produced restricted water-soaked lesions compared to those inoculated with wild-type Xap. XopL supports Xap for its sustained multiplication in pomegranate by suppress- ing the plant cell death （PCD） event. We further demon- strated that XopL suppresses immune responses, such as callose deposition and production of reactive oxygen species （ROS）. RT-qPCR analysis revealed that immune responsive genes were upregulated when challenged with Xap AxopL, whereas upregulation of such genes was compromised in the complemented strain containing the xopL gene. The transiently expressed XopL：：EYFP fusion protein was local- ized to the plasma membrane, indicating the possible site of its action. Altogether, this study highlights that XopL is an important TTSS-effector of Xap that suppresses plant immune responses, including PCD, presumably to support the multiplication of Xap for a sufficient time-period during blight disease development.
