Malaria is a lethal disease responsible for thousands of deaths worldwide every *** methods of malaria diagnosis are timeconsuming that require a great deal of human expertise and *** automated diagnosis of diseases is progressively becoming *** deep learning models show high performance in the medical field,it demands a large volume of data for training which is hard to acquire for medical ***,labeling of medical images can be done with the help of medical experts *** recent studies have utilized deep learning models to develop efficient malaria diagnostic system,which showed promising ***,the most common problem with these models is that they need a large amount of data for *** paper presents a computer-aided malaria diagnosis system that combines a semi-supervised generative adversarial network and transfer *** proposed model is trained in a semi-supervised manner and requires less training data than conventional deep learning *** of the proposed model is evaluated on a publicly available dataset of blood smear images(with malariainfected and normal class)and achieved a classification accuracy of 96.6%.

The present study has been undertaken to evaluate the adsorption in batch mode of a disperse dye (Disperse Blue SBL) by poorly crystalline hydroxyapatite synthesized by coprecipitation between Ca(NO3)2and (NH4)2HPO4 reagents in aqueous solution at room temperature. The adsorption experiments were carried out to investigate the factors that influence the dye uptake by the adsorbent, such as the contact time under agitation, adsorbent dosage, initial dye concentration, solution temperature, and pH. The experimental results show that the percentage of dye removal increases with increasing the amount of adsorbent, until the total discoloration. The adsorption isotherms follow the model of Langmuir with a high adsorption capacity. The adsorption was pH and temperature dependent.

Transpressional deformation has played an important role in the late Neoproterozoic evolution of the ArabianNubian Shield including the Central Eastern Desert of *** Ghadir Shear Belt is a 35 km-long,NW-oriented brittleductile shear zone that underwent overall sinistral transpression during the Late *** this shear belt,strain is highly partitioned into shortening,oblique,extensional and strike-slip structures at multiple ***,strain partitioning is heterogeneous along-strike giving rise to three distinct structural *** the East Ghadir and Ambaut shear belts,the strain is pure-shear dominated whereas the narrow sectors parallel to the shear walls in the West Ghadir Shear Zone are simple-shear *** domains are comparable to splay-dominated and thrust-dominated strike-slip shear *** kinematic transition along the Ghadir shear belt is consistent with separate strike-slip and thrustsense shear *** earlier fabric(S1),is locally recognized in low strain areas and SW-ward thrusts.S2 is associated with a shallowly plunging stretching lineation(L2),and defines^NW-SE major upright macroscopic folds in the East Ghadir shear belt.F2 folds are superimposed by^NNW–SSE tight-minor and major F3 folds that are kinematically compatible with sinistral transpressional deformation along the West Ghadir Shear Zone and may represent strain partitioning during deformation.F2 and F3 folds are superimposed by ENE–WSW gentle F4 folds in the Ambaut shear *** sub-parallelism of F3 and F4 fold axes with the shear zones may have resulted from strain partitioning associated with simple shear deformation along narrow mylonite zones and pure shear-dominant deformation in fold *** ENEstriking shear zones were subsequently active at ca.595 Ma,coeval with sinistral shearing along NW-to NNW-striking shear *** occurrence of upright folds and folds with vertical axes suggests that transpression plays a significant role in

To the editor:I had the pleasure of reading a very interesting,original article published recently by Zhang et al.[1]in your prestigious journal,entitled“Comparison of the oncological,perioperative and functional outcomes of partial nephrectomy versus radical nephrectomy for clinical T1b renal cell carcinoma:A systematic review and meta-analysis of retrospective studies”.The interest in partial nephrectomy(PN)remains relevant after all these years of standardizing PN for cT1 renal masses[2,3].As all similar publications,this technique cannot be talked about without praising it for the preservation of long-term renal function(RF)compared to radical nephrectomy,especially for patients with a chronic kidney disease(CKD)[1e3].This article contains no less than two references whose titles refer directly to the *** interest in this aspect comes from our thesis work on PN,where we noticed an improvement in postoperative RF and its maintenance over time,in some patients,even with CKD,whether in our study or elsewhere.

The El Minia governorate lies within the Nile Valley,surrounded by calcareous plateaus to the east and *** present study focuses on the hydrogeochemistry of the Eocene limestone aquifer at some wadis in the east El Minia governorate,Eastern Desert,***,two main aquifers are encountered in the study area,namely the Maghagha marly limestone and the Samalut chalky limestone *** Maghagha aquifer is composed of alternating layers of marly limestone and shale with thicknesses ranging from 3.49 m to 177.05 m and a groundwater depth ranging from 8.5 m to 59.27 m which reflects low groundwater *** groundwater salinity representing this aquifer ranges from 603.5 mg/L to 978.5 mg/L,reflecting fresh water *** aquifer is made up of chalky,cavernous and fractured limestone with thickness ranging from 30 m to 205 m and groundwater depth ranging from 9 m to 86.77 m,which indicates good groundwater *** groundwater salinity of the concerned aquifer ranges from 349.7 mg/L to 2043.9 mg/L,reflecting fresh to possibly brackish water *** in the study area is of meteoric water origin;recent recharge is mainly controlled through the presence of fractures and their *** majority of groundwater samples in the study area are suitable for drinking and irrigation purposes.

Although the average age of diagnosis for aorticdissection is 63,[1] this case demonstrates the need toconsider AD in younger patients, particularly in thepresence of risk factors or in the absence of anotherreasonable diagnosis. This case suggests PCP use as aprecipitant for hypertension and sympathomimetic stresson the aorta. Despite high sensitivity, false negativeCTA imaging for AD can occur. If pretest probabilityremains high, further imaging must be obtained. Duringresuscitation in the ED, focused point-of-care ultrasoundcan also assist with medical decision making.

The increasing architecture complexity of data converters makes it necessary to use behavioral models to simulate their electrical performance and to determine their relevant data features. For this purpose, a specific data converter simulation environment has been developed which allows designers to perform time-domain behavioral simulations of pipelined analog to digital converters （ADCs）. All the necessary blocks of this specific simulation environment have been implemented using the popular Matlab simulink environment. The purpose of this paper is to present the behavioral models of these blocks taking into account most of the pipelined ADC non-idealities, such as sampling jitter, noise, and operational amplifier parameters （white noise, finite DC gain, finite bandwidth, slew rate, and saturation voltages）. Simulations, using a 10-bit pipelined ADC as a design example, show that in addition to the limits analysis and the electrical features extraction, designers can determine the specifications of the basic blocks in order to meet the given data converter requirements.
