The El Minia governorate lies within the Nile Valley,surrounded by calcareous plateaus to the east and *** present study focuses on the hydrogeochemistry of the Eocene limestone aquifer at some wadis in the east El Minia governorate,Eastern desert,***,two main aquifers are encountered in the study area,namely the Maghagha marly limestone and the Samalut chalky limestone *** Maghagha aquifer is composed of alternating layers of marly limestone and shale with thicknesses ranging from 3.49 m to 177.05 m and a groundwater depth ranging from 8.5 m to 59.27 m which reflects low groundwater *** groundwater salinity representing this aquifer ranges from 603.5 mg/L to 978.5 mg/L,reflecting fresh water *** aquifer is made up of chalky,cavernous and fractured limestone with thickness ranging from 30 m to 205 m and groundwater depth ranging from 9 m to 86.77 m,which indicates good groundwater *** groundwater salinity of the concerned aquifer ranges from 349.7 mg/L to 2043.9 mg/L,reflecting fresh to possibly brackish water *** in the study area is of meteoric water origin;recent recharge is mainly controlled through the presence of fractures and their *** majority of groundwater samples in the study area are suitable for drinking and irrigation purposes.

This study investigates the X-ray properties and evolution of Type II supernovae (SNe II) observed by Swift, examining variations among supernovae and exploring their X-ray characteristics over time. We present the first X-ray study of the Type IIp supernova SN 2008ij using data from the Swift X-ray mission. This investigation focuses on its spectral properties, identifying an X-ray flux of 1.20 (+0.11, −0.10) × 10−13 erg/cm2/s and a plasma temperature of 4.76 (+1.22, −0.83) keV. Our study marks an advancement in understanding SN 2008ij, providing crucial results into its X-ray emission characteristics. These results lay the groundwork for future studies of Type IIp supernovae, offering a foundation for exploring their evolutionary and physical processes.

BACKGROUNd Esophagopericardial fistula(EPF)is a rare,life-threatening condition with limited scientific literature and no established management *** case report highlights a successful multidisciplinary approach and the innovative use of endoscopic vacuum assisted closure(endoVAC)therapy in treating this complex *** SUMMARY A 16-year-old male with a history of esophageal atresia and colon interposition presented with progressive chest pain,fever,and *** revealed an EPF with associated pleural and pericardial *** management with an esophageal stent failed,prompting the use of an endoVAC *** patient underwent multiple endoVAC device changes and received broad-spectrum antibiotics and nutritional *** fistula successfully closed,and the patient recovered,demonstrating no new symptoms at a 6-month *** EndoVAC therapy can effectively manage EPF,providing a minimally invasive treatment option.

Background Cerebral cavernous malformations(CCMs)frequently manifest with *** radiosurgery(SRS)has been employed for CCM not suitable for *** effect on reducing haemorrhage risk is still *** aim of this study was to expand on the safety and efficacy of SRS for haemorrhagic *** This retrospective multicentric study included CCM with at least one haemorrhage treated with single-session *** annual haemorrhagic rate(AHR)was calculated before and after *** event analysis and Cox regression were used to evaluate factors associated with *** radiation effects(AREs)and occurrence of new neurological deficits were *** The study included 381 patients (median age:37.5 years(Q1–Q3:25.8–51.9))with 414 *** AHR from diagnosis to SRS excluding the first haemorrhage was 11.08 per 100 CCM-years and was reduced to 2.7 per 100 CCM-years after *** recurrent event analysis,SRS,HR 0.27(95%CI 0.17 to 0.44),pd with a decreased risk of haemorrhage,and the presence of developmental venous anomaly(dVA)with an increased risk,HR 1.60(95%CI 1.07 to 2.40),p=*** cumulative risk of first haemorrhage after SRS was 9.4%(95%CI 6%to 12.6%)at 5 years and 15.6%(95%CI%9 to 21.8%)at 10 *** doses>13 Gy,HR 2.27(95%CI 1.20 to 4.32),p=0.012 and the presence of dVA,HR 2.08(95%CI 1.00 to 4.31),p=0.049 were factors associated with higher probability of post-SRS ***-SRS haemorrhage was symptomatic in 22 out of 381(5.8%)patients,presenting with transient(15/381)or permanent(7/381)neurological *** occurred in 11.1%(46/414)CCM and was responsible for transient neurological deficit in 3.9%(15/381)of the patients and permanent deficit in 1.1%(4/381)of the *** doses>13 Gy and CCM volume>0.7 cc were associated with increased risk of ARE.

The location of exhaust air vents of an evaporative cooling system can have significant effects on providing thermal comfort and controlling humidity, temperature and air distribution in buildings. In the current study, four different strategies have been evaluated for exhaust air vent locations to provide the optimum thermal comfort inside a typical residential house. This study provides a numerical solution for temperature and relative humidity profiles in the residential house and within the living space in each room typically at a height of 1.8 m or less. By evaluating different exhaust air vent locations in a room, the best strategy(ies) to provide more appropriate thermal comfort condition and obtained and as a conclusion, the exhaust vents should be located on furthest wall away from the entrance of the room and in the middle. The results provided in the current study can eventually be applied in the design of evaporative cooler exhaust vent systems in residential buildings and lead to improve the performance of these systems.

In this paper,we investigate the stability and convergence of a family of implicit finite difference schemes in time and Galerkin finite element methods in space for the numerical solution of the acoustic wave *** schemes cover the classical explicit second-order leapfrog scheme and the fourth-order accurate scheme in time obtained by the modified equation *** derive general stability conditions for the family of implicit schemes covering some well-known CFL *** error estimates are *** sufficiently smooth solutions,we demonstrate that the maximal error in the L^(2)-norm error over a finite time interval converges optimally as O(h^(p+1)+∆t^(s)),where p denotes the polynomial degree,s=2 or 4,h the mesh size,and∆t the time step.

A method with simulation and analysis of the resin flow in a screw is presented to ease the control of some problems that may affect the efficiency and the quality of the product among existing screws in an injection machine. The physical model of a screw is established to represent the stress, the strain, the relationship between velocity and stress, and the temperature of the cells. In this paper, a working case is considered where the velocity and the temperature distributions at any section of the flow are obtained. The analysis of the computational results shows an ability to master various parameters depending on the specifications.
