For the past several years,calcium phosphate cement was used in the biomedical *** biocompatibility,good bioactivity,self-setting qualities,minimum setting degree,appropriate toughness,and simple shape to accommodate any difficult geometry are among their most notable *** phosphate has some types and brushite is one of the most attractive mineral for bone repair *** is extensively employed in filling fractures and trauma treatments as a bone substituted *** kind of material can potentially be used as a medicine delivery *** replacement of metal,such as magnesium,zinc,and strontium ions,into the calcium phosphate structure is a major research topic these *** cement has low mechanical strength and quick setting *** is possible to produce biomaterials with higher mechanical *** adding metal that are great potential in controlling cellular density when included into *** a result,it is a successful method to develop quite well regenerative *** paper provides a detailed summary of the present achievements of metal-doped brushite cement for bone repair and healing *** major purpose of this work is to give a simple but thorough analysis of current successes in brushite cement doped with Zn,Mg,Sr,and other ions as well as to highlight new advancements and *** impact of metal replacement on cement physical and chemical properties,including microstructure,setting time,injectability,mechanical property,and ion release,is *** metal-doped cement has osteogenesis,angiogenesis,and antibacterial properties,as well as their prospective utility as drug carriers,also considered.

Molecular Characterization of Bacterial Community Composition in the Rhizosphere of Invasive Plant Species Amur Honeysuckle (<i>Lonicera maackii</i>) in an Urban Wetland Forest

The goal of this research was to determine the effects of the growth of invasive plant Amur Honeysuckle (Lonicera maackii) on the rhizosphere bacterial community composition, and diversity in an urban wetland forest ecosystem. Bacterial communities from the rhizosphere of 5 L. maackii plants and control bulk soils that did not have any L. maackii were investigated at Nina Mason Pulliam EcoLab (NMPE) using a culture-independent pipeline. Bacterial communities were characterized by PCR amplification and cloning 16S rRNA gene fragments following total DNA isolation from the soil samples. Microbial communities associated with both L. maackii rhizosphere and control sites showed high bacterial diversity within each site and taxa unique to individual sites were observed. Phylogenetic analyses revealed 80% of 400 16S rDNA clones were classified as α-, β- and γ-Proteobacteria, Acidobacteria, Actinobacteria, Cytophaga-Flexibacter-Bacteroides (CFB) group, and Verrucomicrobia. Members of the Proteobacteria and Acidobacterium represented 66.5% and 14.5% of the clone library, respectively, whereas the remaining bacterial divisions each comprised less than 7% of the clone library. Twenty-five 16S rDNA clones could not be classified into any known bacterial divisions. Statistical analyses showed significant differences in the presence of L. maackii on the proportions of 16S rDNA clones affiliated with Proteobacteria and Acidobacterium, suggesting bacterial community composition and structure does significantly change in the presence of L. maackii. However, sequence-based community analysis and the corresponding lack of intact microbial cultures limit understanding of the potential influences of enriched microbial taxa on plant hosts and their roles in ecosystem functioning.

Optimization and modeling of glyphosate biodegradation by a novel Comamonas odontotermitis P2 through response surface methodology

Glyphosate is an important organophosphonate herbicide used to eliminate grasses and herbaceous plants in many vegetation management *** extensive use is causing environmental pollution,and consequently,there is a need to remove it from the environment using an eco-friendly and cost-effective *** a step to address this problem,a novel bacterial strain Comamonas odontotermitis F2,capable to utilize glyphosate as a carbon(C)and/or phosphorus(P)source,was isolated from a glyphostate-contaminated field soil in Australia and *** surface methodology(RSM)employing a 2^3 full factorial central composite design was used to optimize glyphosate degradation by *** P2 under various culture *** strain *** P2 was proficient in degrading 1.5 g L^-1 glyphosate completely within 104 *** optimal conditions for the degradation of glyphosate were found to be pH 7.4,29.9℃,and an inoculum density of 0.54 g L^-1,resulting in a maximum degradation of 90%.Sequencing of glyphosate oxidoreductase(GOX)and C-P lyase(phnJ)genes from *** P2 revealed 999c and 93%identities to already reported bacterial GOX and phnJ genes,*** presence of these two genes in *** indicates its potential to degrade glyphosate through GOX and C-P lyase metabolic *** study demonstrates the potential of *** P2 for efficient degradation of glyphosate,which can be exploited for remediation of glyphosate.

Bioaugmentation of a novel bacterial consortium in cotton-planted soil for lambda-cyhalothrin degradation

Extensive use of lambda-cyhalothrin（LC） for agricultural and domestic pest control leads to the accumulation of its residues in soil and water,which poses a serious threat to the *** of LC at the point source is the most effective way to avoid its spread and harmful ***,this study was planned to investigate the potential of indigenously isolated bacteria for the remediation of LC in cotton-vegetated *** potent LC-degrading bacteria,Brucella intermedia Halol,Alcaligenes faecalis CH1S,and Aquamicrobium terrae CH1T,were isolated from a pyrethroid-contaminated soil.A consortium CHST comprising these three strains was found to exhibit a higher potential for LC degradation as compared to the individual *** degradation of LC by CHST was optimized for four varying factors,i.e.,pH,inoculum density（ID）,carbon source（CS）,and initial pesticide（i.e.,LC）concentration（PC）,by applying Taguchi design of *** contributions of these factors to the biodegradation of LC were found to be in the order of pH> CS> PC> *** enhanced degradation of LC（84%） was attained at pH 7.0 in minimum salt medium containing 10 mg L-1LC and 3% *** consortium CHST was also augmented in sterilized and unsterilized soil microcosms at three PCs,i.e.,2,5,and 10 mg *** 21 d of incubation,complete LC degradation was achieved at 2 mg kg-1PC in sterilized as well as unsterilized soil,whereas at higher PCs,the extent of degradation was comparatively *** PC of 5 mg kg-1,88% and 96% LC degradation were observed in sterilized and unsterilized soils,respectively,compared to 79% and90% degradation at 10 mg kg-1,*** biodegradation,the major metabolite of LC,i.e.,3-phenoxybenzoic acid,was produced and further *** a cotton-planted soil spiked with 10 mg kg-1LC,the consortium degraded 91.8% LC,as well as improving the agronomic parameters of the cotton *** a nutshell,the consortium CHST was found to be a promising

Two loop low temperature corrections to electron self energy

We recalculate the two loop corrections in the background heat bath using real time formalism. The procedure of the integrations of loop momenta with dependence on finite temperature before the momenta without it has been followed. We determine the mass and wavefunction renormalization constants in the low temperature limit of QED, for the first time with this preferred order of integrations. The correction to electron mass and spinors in this limit is important in the early universe at the time of primordial nucleosynthesis as well as in astrophysics.

Kynurenine pathway of tryptophan metabolism in pathophysiology and therapy of major depressive disorder

Serotonin deficiency in major depressive disorder(MDD)has formed the basis of antidepressant drug development and was originally attributed to induction of the major tryptophan(Trp)-degrading enzyme,liver Trp 2,3-dioxygenase(TDO),by cortisol,leading to decreased Trp availability to the brain for serotonin ***,the serotonin deficiency was proposed to involve induction of the extrahepatic Trp-degrading enzyme indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase(IDO)by proinflammatory cytokines,with inflammation being the underlying *** evidence,however,challenges this latter concept,as not all MDD patients are immune-activated and,when present,inflammation is mild and/or transient.A wide range of antidepressant drugs inhibit the activity of liver TDO and bind specifically to the enzyme,but not to *** induction is not a major event in MDD,but,when it occurs,its metabolic consequences may be masked and overridden by upregulation of kynurenine monooxygenase(KMO),the gateway to production of modulators of immune and neuronal *** appears to be activated in MDD by certain proinflammatory cytokines and antidepressants with anti-inflammatory properties may block this *** demonstrate the ability of the antidepressant ketamine to dock(bind)to *** pathophysiology of MDD may be underpinned by both the serotonin deficiency and glutamatergic activation mediated respectively by TDO induction and N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor *** of TDO and KMO should be the focus of MDD pharmacotherapy.

Institutions and FDI:evidence from developed and developing countries

This study investigates the impact of institutional quality on Foreign Direct Investment(FDI)inflows using panel data for low,lower-middle,upper-middle and high-income countries for the sample period of 1996-2016 using the system Generalized Method of Moments(GMM).The empirical results confirm that institutional quality has a positive impact on FDI in all group of *** magnitude of the coefficients of control of corruption,government effectiveness,political stability,regulatory quality,rule of law,and voice and accountability for FDI inflows are greater in developed countries than in developing *** conclude that institutional quality is a more important determinant of FDI in developed countries than in developed ***,GDP per capita,agriculture value-added as a percentage of GDP,and inflation influence FDI inflows negatively in developed countries,while GDP per capita,trade openness,agriculture value-added as a percentage of GDP,and infrastructure have positive and statistically significant impacts on FDI inflows in developing *** openness as a percentage of GDP and infrastructure positively affect FDI in developed *** our analysis,we infer that institutional quality is a more important determinant of FDI in developed countries than in developing countries.

Heart Disease Diagnosis Using the Brute Force Algorithm and Machine Learning Techniques

Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in the world *** of heart disease is a prominent topic in the clinical data *** increase patient survival rates,early diagnosis of heart disease is an important field of research in the medical *** are many studies on the prediction of heart disease,but limited work is done on the selection of *** selection of features is one of the best techniques for the diagnosis of heart *** this research paper,we find optimal features using the brute-force algorithm,and machine learning techniques are used to improve the accuracy of heart disease *** performance evaluation,accuracy,sensitivity,and specificity are used with split and cross-validation *** results of the proposed technique are evaluated in three different heart disease datasets with a different number of records,and the proposed technique is found to have superior *** selection of optimized features generated by the brute force algorithm is used as input to machine learning algorithms such as Support Vector Machine(SVM),Random Forest(RF),K Nearest Neighbor(KNN),and Naive Bayes(NB).The proposed technique achieved 97%accuracy with Naive Bayes through split validation and 95%accuracy with Random Forest through *** Bayes and Random Forest are found to outperform other classification approaches when accurately *** results of the proposed technique are compared with the results of the existing study,and the results of the proposed technique are found to be better than other ***,our proposed approach plays an important role in the selection of important features and the automatic detection of heart disease.
