A Late Cretaceous ensimatic arc developed during closure of the northern branch of Neo-Tethys(central-northern Turkey)

studies on differentiation of ensimatic arc units from melange units in the Northern Anatolian Ophiolitic Belt(NAOB) are very rare. The study area represents the southern edge of the central part of the *** aim of the study is to distinguish the main units of NAOB and to define the geotectonic setting of the Darmik Ensimatic Arc Association(DEAA). To study the ensimatic arc units as an independent tectonic unit is important and facilitates understanding of the geological evolution of the NAOB. During field studies, the contact relationships within the Darmik Ensimatic Arc Association(DEAA) units and also with other tectonic units were reviewed. Then, paleontological, geochronological, petrological and also geochemical properties of the DEAA have been defined. In the present study, ensimatic arc units have been distinguished from ophiolitic association for the first time, in the region. As a result of the study, the DEAA is divided into two levels and lower level named as the Kartal unit and upper level named as the izibüyük unit. In the Kartal unit, basaltic and andesitic lavas with their equivalent pyroclastic rock units are dominant. Radiolarite and mudstones interbedded within the Kartal unit of DEAA have Turonian and santonian age. In addition, the age of basalt samples of DEAA are 98.7 ± 2.4 Ma, defined using the^(40)Ar/39 Ar method. The izibüyük unit of DEAA comprises conglomerate, sandstone, claystone, mudstone,clayey limestone, micritic limestone with volcanic interbeds and also calciturbidites. santonian-Maastrichtian ages were obtained from this unit of the DEAA. In conclusion, the age of DEAA is widely accepted as Late Cretaceous. After the evaluation of the analysis, the volcanics of the DEAA originated from calcalkaline-basalts, which reflect ensimatic arc magmatism.

Physicochemical Properties of Amino Acids in Aqueous Caffeine solution at 25, 30, 35 and 40℃

Density, viscosity, and refractive index, for glycine, DL-alanine, L-serine and DL-valine have been determined in aqueous solution of 0.05 mol/kg caffeine as a function of amino acid （AA） concentration at 25, 30, 35, and 40 ℃ The density data have been used to compute apparent molar volume. The partial molar volume （limiting apparent molar volume） was obtained by applying the Masson＇s equation. The viscosity data have been analyzed by means of Jones-Dole equation. The values of Falkenhagen coefficient and Jones-Dole coefficient thus obtained are used to interpret the solute-solute and solute-solvent interactions, respectively. Hydration number was also computed. The transition-state theory was applied to obtain the activation parameters of viscous flow, i.e., free energy of activation per mole of solvent, and solute. The enthalpy and entropy of activation of viscous flow were computed for the system. Refractive index was used to calculate molar refractivity of the mixtures. The results have been interpreted in the light of various interactions occurring between the components of the mixtures under applied experimental conditions.

A computer-based image analysis for tear ferning featuring

The present work focuses on the development of a novel computer-based approach for tear ferning(TF)*** original TF images of the recently developedfive-point grading scale have been used to assign a grade for any TF image automatically.A vector characteristic(VC)representing each grade was built using the reference images.A weighted combination between features selected from textures analysis using gray level co-occurrence matrix(GLCM),power spectrum(Ps)analysis and linear specificity of the image were used to build the VC of each grade.A total of 14 features from texture analysis were *** at di®erent frequency points and number of line segments in each image were also *** features from GLCM have shown significant di®erences between the recently developed grading scale images which are:angular second moment at 0and 45,contrast,and correlation at 0and 45;thesefive features were all included in the characteristic *** specific power frequencies were used in the VC because of the discrimination *** of line segments was also chosen because of dissimilarities between images.A VC for each grade of TF reference images was constructed and was found to be significantly different from each other'*** is a basic and fundamental step toward an automatic grading for computer-based diagnosis for dry eye.

Innovative Artificial Neural Networks-Based Decision support system for Heart Diseases Diagnosis

Heart diagnosis is not always possible at every medical center, especially in the rural areas where less support and care, due to lack of advanced heart diagnosis equipment. Also, physician intuition and experience are not always sufficient to achieve high quality medical procedures results. Therefore, medical errors and undesirable results are reasons for a need for unconventional computer-based diagnosis systems, which in turns reduce medical fatal errors, increasing the patient safety and save lives. The proposed solution, which is based on an Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs), provides a decision support system to identify three main heart diseases: mitral stenosis, aortic stenosis and ventricular septal defect. Furthermore, the system deals with an encouraging opportunity to develop an operational screening and testing device for heart disease diagnosis and can deliver great assistance for clinicians to make advanced heart diagnosis. Using real medical data, series of experiments have been conducted to examine the performance and accuracy of the proposed solution. Compared results revealed that the system performance and accuracy are acceptable, with a heart diseases classification accuracy of 92%.

Mechanistic, Energetic and structural Aspects of the Adsorption of Carmustine on the Functionalized Carbon Nanotubes

Using density functional theory, noncovalent interactions and two mechanisms of covalent functionalization of drug carmustine with functionalized carbon nanotube（CNT） have been investigated. Quantum molecular descriptors of noncovalent configurations were studied. It was specified that binding of drug carmustine with functionalized CNT is thermodynamically suitable. NTCOOH and NTCOCl can bond to the NH group of carmustine through OH（COOH mechanism） and Cl（COCl mechanism） groups, respectively. The activation energies, activation enthalpies and activation Gibbs free energies of two pathways were calculated and compared with each other. The activation parameters related to COOH mechanism are higher than those related to COCl mechanism, and therefore COCl mechanism is suitable for covalent functionalization. COOH functionalized CNT（NTCOOH） has more binding energy than COCl functionalized CNT（NTCOCl） and can act as a favorable system for carmustine drug delivery within biological and chemical systems（noncovalent）. These results could be generalized to other similar drugs.

Three-dimensional channel flow of second grade fluid in rotating frame

An analysis is performed for the hydromagnetic second grade fluid flow between two horizontal plates in a rotating system in the presence of a magnetic field. The lower sheet is considered to be a stretching sheet, and the upper sheet is a porous solid plate. By suitable transformations, the equations of conservation of mass and momentum are reduced to a system of coupled non-linear ordinary differential equations. A series of solutions to this coupled non-linear system are obtained by a powerful analytic technique, i.e., the homotopy analysis method （HAM）. The results are presented with graphs. The effects of non-dimensional parameters R, A, M2, a, and K2 on the velocity field are discussed in detail.

Internet of Things(IoTs)provides better solutions in various fields,namely healthcare,smart transportation,home,*** Denial of service(Dos)outbreaks in IoT platforms is significant in certifying the accessibility and integrity of IoT *** learning(DL)models outperform in detecting complex,non-linear relationships,allowing them to effectually severe slight deviations fromnormal IoT activities that may designate a Dos *** uninterrupted observation and real-time detection actions of DL participate in accurate and rapid detection,permitting proactive reduction events to be executed,hence securing the IoT network’s safety and ***,this study presents pigeon-inspired optimization with a DL-based attack detection and classification(PIODL-ADC)approach in an IoT *** PIODL-ADC approach implements a hyperparameter-tuned DL method for Distributed Denial-of-service(DDos)attack detection in an IoT ***,the PIODL-ADC model utilizes Z-score normalization to scale input data into a *** handling the convolutional and adaptive behaviors of IoT,the PIODL-ADCmodel employs the pigeon-inspired optimization(PIO)method for feature selection to detect the related features,considerably enhancing the recognition’s ***,the Elman Recurrent Neural Network(ERNN)model is utilized to recognize and classify DDos ***,reptile search algorithm(RsA)based hyperparameter tuning is employed to improve the precision and robustness of the ERNN method.A series of investigational validations is made to ensure the accomplishment of the PIODL-ADC *** experimental outcome exhibited that the PIODL-ADC method shows greater accomplishment when related to existing models,with a maximum accuracy of 99.81%.

Time-dependent stagnation-point flow over rotating disk impinging oncoming flow

The unsteady stagnation point flow of an incompressible viscous fluid over a rotating disk is investigated numerically in the present study. The disk impinges the oncoming flow with a time-dependent axial velocity. The three-dimensionM axisymmetric boundary-layer flow is described by the Navier-stokes equations. The governing equations are solved numerically, and two distinct similarity solution branches are obtained. Both solution branches exhibit different flow patterns. The upper branch solution exists for all values of the impinging parameter β and the rotating parameter Ω. However, the lower branch solution breaks down at some moderate values of β The involvement of the rotation at disk allows the similarity solution to be transpired for all the decreasing values of β. The results of the velocity profile, the skin friction, and the stream lines are demonstrated through graphs and tables for both solution branches. The results show that the impinging velocity depreciates the forward flow and accelerates the flow in the tangential direction.

Accelerated versus standard corneal cross linking in the treatment of ectasia post refractive surgery and penetrating keratoplasty: a medium term randomized trial

AIM: To compare the clinical outcomes of the standard corneal cross linking(CXL) and the accelerated CXL in patients with progressive corneal ectasia post refractive surgery and penetrating ***: Totally 120 eyes of 83 patients scheduled to receive either standard CXL(3 m W/cm^2 for a period of 30 min) or accelerated CXL(18 m W/cm2 for a period of 5 min). The main outcomes for comparison were the change in: maximum-K reading(K-max), manifest refractive spherical equivalent(sE), central corneal thickness(CCT), and the best corrected distance visual acuity(CDVA).REsULTs: One hundred and eleven eyes completed the study. The main outcome measurement was the K-max reading. Both group showed significant improvement in the value postoperatively at 6 and 12 mo. The mean change in the standard group was 1.21±0.11 D and in the accelerated group was 0.90±0.05 D at the end of 12 mo postoperatively, with no statistically significant difference between the 2 groups. similarly, CDVA improved significantly from their preoperative value in the standard group by 2.98±0.11 letters, and in the accelerated group by 2.20±0.06 letters, with no statistically significant difference between the two groups. Both of the sE, and CCT showed no statistically significant difference at the end of follow up period in each ***: Both standard CXL and accelerated CXL are safe and effective treatment in halting ectasia after corneal refractive surgery. The accelerated CXL results are comparable to the standard CXL with short time exposure of the cornea to ultraviolet irradiation, leading to reduced operation time, reduced operative ocular discomfort, and corneal haze.
