Cancer-related to the nervous system and brain tumors is a leading cause of mortality in various *** resonance imaging(MRI)and computed tomography(CT)are utilized to capture brain *** plays a crucial role in the diagnosis of brain tumors and the examination of other brain ***,manual assessment of MRI images by radiologists or experts is performed to identify brain tumors and abnormalities in the early stages for timely ***,early diagnosis of brain tumors is intricate,necessitating the use of computerized *** research introduces an innovative approach for the automated segmentation of brain tumors and a framework for classifying different regions of brain *** proposed methods consist of a pipeline with several stages:preprocessing of brain images with noise removal based on Wiener Filtering,enhancing the brain using Principal Component Analysis(PCA)to obtain well-enhanced images,and then segmenting the region of interest using the Fuzzy C-Means(FCM)clustering technique in the third *** final step involves classification using the support Vector Machine(sVM)*** classifier is applied to various types of brain tumors,such as meningioma and pituitary tumors,utilizing the Contrast-Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging(CE-MRI)*** proposed method demonstrates significantly improved contrast and validates the effectiveness of the classification framework,achieving an average sensitivity of 0.974,specificity of 0.976,accuracy of 0.979,and a Dice score(DsC)of ***,this method exhibits a shorter processing time of 0.44 s compared to existing *** performance of this method emphasizes its significance when compared to state-of-the-art methods in terms of sensitivity,specificity,accuracy,and *** enhance the method further in the future,it is feasible to standardize the approach by incorporating a set of classifiers to increase the robustness of the brain classi

The availability of chemical and biological data presented in this paper is the basis for understanding not only the current state of anti-cancer drugs based on gold(Ⅲ),but also the rationale for strategies for future drug *** Au(Ⅲ)nanosized complexes of cefotaxime(ceph-3)and cefepime(ceph-4)ligands as a 3rd and 4th of cephalosporin generation drugs were ***(Ⅲ)complexes were discussed based on the elemental,molar conductance,thermal and magnetic moment measurements as well as spectral(FTIR,1HNMR,UV-Vis,and XRD)***-IR spectra revealed that the ceph-3 and ceph-4 ligands reacted as a bidentate ligands through carboxylate oxygen andβ-lactam oxygen *** analytical analysis confirm that the molar ratio is 1∶1(Au 3+/ceph)with general formula[Au(L)(Cl)2]where L=ceph-3 or *** structures of Au(Ⅲ)complexes were presence as a square planar geometry.X-ray diffraction patterns referred to a crystalline nature for all synthesized *** analyses confirmed that the synthetic gold(Ⅲ)complexes have a nanosized *** vitro antimicrobial activities of Au(Ⅲ)complexes were evaluated towards two types of bacteria(G+&G-).The antitumor activities of gold(Ⅲ)complexes are appraised against breast(MCF-7)and colorectal adenocarcinoma(Caco-2)cell lines,which means that the two complexes may consider promising anticancer drugs.

The popularity of social networking sites has attracted billions of users to engage and share their information on these *** vast amount of circulating data and information expose these networks to several security *** engineering is one of the most common types of threat that may face social network *** and increasing users’awareness of such threats is essential for maintaining continuous and safe use of social networking *** the most vulnerable users in order to target them for these training programs is desirable for increasing the effectiveness of such *** studies have investigated the effect of individuals’characteristics on predicting their vulnerability to social engineering in the context of social *** address this gap,the present study developed a novel model to predict user vulnerability based on several perspectives of user *** proposed model includes interactions between different social network-oriented factors such as level of involvement in the network,motivation to use the network,and competence in dealing with threats on the *** results of this research indicate that most of the considered user characteristics are factors that influence user vulnerability either directly or ***,the present study provides evidence that individuals’characteristics can identify vulnerable users so that these risks can be considered when designing training and awareness programs.

Unsupervised neural network model optimized with evolutionary computations for solving variants of nonlinear MHD Jeffery-Hamel problem

A heuristic technique is developed for a nonlinear magnetohydrodynamics （MHD） Jeffery-Hamel problem with the help of the feed-forward artificial neural net- work （ANN） optimized with the genetic algorithm （GA） and the sequential quadratic programming （sQP） method. The twodimensional （2D） MHD Jeffery-Hamel problem is transformed into a higher order boundary value problem （BVP） of ordinary differential equations （ODEs）. The mathematical model of the transformed BVP is formulated with the ANN in an unsupervised manner. The training of the weights of the ANN is carried out with the evolutionary calculation based on the GA hybridized with the sQP method for the rapid local convergence. The proposed scheme is evaluated on the variants of the Jeffery-Hamel flow by varying the Reynold number, the Hartmann number, and the an- gles of the walls. A large number of simulations are performed with an extensive analysis to validate the accuracy, convergence, and effectiveness of the scheme. The comparison of the standard numerical solution and the analytic solution establishes the correctness of the proposed designed methodologies.

Chemiluminescence Determination of Cefixime Trihydrate Based on Acidic Diperiodatoargentate(Ⅲ)-Rhodamine 6-G system

A novel chemiluminescence(CL) method is proposed for cefixime trihydrate(CFX) determination based on its eiiliancement effect on diperiodatoargentate(III)(DPA)-rhodamine 6-G(Rh6-G) reaction in conjunction with flow injection analysis(FIA). A linear calibration curve was achieved over the range from 0.01 mg/L to 2.5 mg/L CFX(R^2=0.999,n=8) with relative standard deviation(RsD) of 1.4%-3.8%(n=4)), limit of detection(LOD) of 3.0×10^-3 mg/L(s/N=3),injection tliroughput of 180/h and regression equation of y=1113.2x-14.596[y=CL intensity (mV) and x=concentration of CFX(mg/L)]. The method was successfully applied to CFX determination in pharmaceutical formulations and the recoveries(%) for proposed FI-CL and a reported spectrophotometric method by applying the student t-test [calculated t-test value: t=1.079215, and tabulated t-distributed(95%)=2.200985] were not significantly diflerent. The CFX was efficiently extracted and no significant effect of commonly found excipients in the pharmaceutical formulations was observed. The mechanism of CL reaction is discussed briefly.

Laboratory diagnosis of schistosomiasis mansoni: Current status and future trends

schistosomiasis is a neglected tropical disease that affects about 290 million patients worldwide. Children aged between 5 and 14 years represent 45.8% of the affected patients, in addition, schistosomiasis has been reported in schistosoma-free areas, mostly because of tourism and immigration from endemic countries. Intestinal schistosomiasis caused by schistosoma mansoni is mainly diagnosed via direct stool examination for egg detection. Immunological methods are favoured for disease monitoring and preliminary checking for communities in areas with low infection rates, and for patients with light and chronic infections where parasitological tests are negative. PCR-based diagnostic techniques are more sensitive, but expensive. Tegument proteins and miRNAs are promising markers for diagnosis of schistosomiasis. Here we review the diagnostic methods for schistosomiasis mansoni aiming to reach a standardized technique for diagnosis of early infection to help better control of the disease.

Novel technique of insulin loading into porous carriers for oral delivery

The increasing demand for oral macromolecule delivery encouraged the development of mi-croencapsulation technologies to protect such drugs against gastric and enzymatic degra-dation. However, microencapsulation often requires harsh conditions that may jeopardizetheir biological activity. Accordingly, many trials attempted to load macromolecules intoporous drug carriers to bypass any formulation induced instability. In this study, we pre-pared chitosan coated porous poly(d, l-lactide-co-glycolide)(PLGA) microparticles(MPs)loaded with insulin using a novel loading technique; double freeze-drying. The resultsshowed a significant increase in drug loading using only 5 mg/ml initial insulin concen-tration and conveyed a sustained drug release over uncoated MPs. Furthermore, sEM andconfocal microscopy confirmed pore blocking and insulin accumulation within the MPs re-spectively. The oral pharmacodynamic data on rats also proved the preservation of insulinbioactivity after formulation. Finally, the new coating technique proved to be efficient inproducing robust layer of chitosan with higher insulin loading while maintaining insulinactivity.

Flow Injection Chemiluminescence Method for Nalbuphine Hydrochloride in Pharmaceutical Formulations Using Tris(2,2′-bipyridyl)ruthenium(II)Chloride-diperiodatocuprate(III)Reaction

A sensitive and selective method employing chemiluminescence(CL)coupled with flow injection(FI)is reported for nalbuphine hydrochloride(NAL)assay in pharmaceutical *** enhancement effect of NAL on the CL reaction between tris(2,2′-bipyridyl)ruthenium(II)chloride-diperiodatocuprate(III){Ru[(bpy)_(3)]^(2+)-Cu(III)complex}in acidic medium is used as analytical *** optimal conditions of the CL reaction were sulfuric acid 1.0×10^(−3) mol/L,Ru[(bpy)s]2+7.5×10^(−5) mol/L,Cu(III)/Ag(III)complexes 4.0×10^(−4)/5.0×10^(−4) mol/L,sample loop volume of 120µL and flow rate of 2.5 mL/*** sensitivities of the method in terms of detection(s/N=3)and quantification(s/N=10)limits are 5×10^(−4) and 0.001 ppm(1 ppm=1 mg/L),*** linear response of the instrument in the form of CL intensity with respect to NAL concentration is over the range 0.001-15.0 ppm(R^(2)=0.9999)with relative standard deviation from 0.8%to 3.2%and injection throughput of 120 injection/*** applications of the method include the quantitative analysis of NAL in pharmaceutical injection *** and the average results of the proposed method are not significantly different from the results of a reported method by applying F-and paired student *** most likely CL reaction mechanism is written in accordance with spectrophotometric and CL studies.

Today,due to the pandemic of COVID-19 the entire world is facing a serious health *** to the World Health Organization(WHO),people in public places should wear a face mask to control the rapid transmission of *** governmental bodies of different countries imposed that wearing a face mask is compulsory in public ***,it is very difficult to manually monitor people in overcrowded *** research focuses on providing a solution to enforce one of the important preventative measures of COVID-19 in public places,by presenting an automated system that automatically localizes masked and unmasked human faces within an image or video of an area which assist in this outbreak of *** paper demonstrates a transfer learning approach with the Faster-RCNN model to detect faces that are masked or *** proposed framework is built by fine-tuning the state-of-the-art deep learning model,Faster-RCNN,and has been validated on a publicly available dataset named Face Mask Dataset(FMD)and achieving the highest average precision(AP)of 81%and highest average Recall(AR)of 84%.This shows the strong robustness and capabilities of the Faster-RCNN model to detect individuals with masked and un-masked ***,this work applies to real-time and can be implemented in any public service area.
