Human placental allografts are the latest treatment modalities for diabetic ulcers, chronic wounds, limbs, and tendons for healing cascade and promoting granulation tissue coverage. Purion®a.> processed dehydrated human amnion/chorion membrane allografts (dHACM), decellularized human collagen matrix (dHCM), dehydrated umbilical cord (dHUC) and micronized dehydrated human amnion/chorion membrane allografts (mdHACM) have been the newest modality used to salvage injured human extremities with tendon and bone exposure. a.>a.>A 53-year-old male was assaulted and sustained second and third degree burns to both legs. The left extremity had a 9.5% total body surface area (%TBSA) burned. The right extremity had a 5.5% TBSA and three exposed tendons (Achilles/flexor digitorum longus/tibialis anterior), muscles, talar and tibial bones. Bilateral extremity pedal pulses were present, and all toes had less than two second capillary refill. Sensation, motor, and strength were normal. During the 48-day-hospital stay, the patient had eight operations: tangential excisional debridements of necrotic tissue with weekly wound dressing applications of dHACM and dHCM, on both legs. In addition, dHUC was applied over the exposed tendons on weeks 2 a.>a.>-a.>a.> 5. The exposed tendons were injected with mdHACM on weeks 4 and 5. Negative pressure wound therapy was applied at 125 mmHg fora.>a.>

Emphysema.ous cholecystitis is a.ra.e subtype of a.ute cholecystitis cha.a.terized by the presence of ga. in the ga.lbla.der wa.l seconda.y to ischemia. Typica.ly, this is a.result of cystic a.tery va.cula. compromise with a.concomita.t infection from ga.-forming orga.isms such a. Clostridium species, Klebsiella.species, or Escherichia.coli. The morta.ity ra.e of a.ute emphysema.ous cholecystitis is 15% - 20% compa.ed with 1.4% in uncomplica.ed a.ute cholecystitis. The subsequent development of a.cholecystocuta.eous fistula. a. a.norma. connection between the ga.lbla.der a.d the skin, is a.so a.ra.e complica.ion of ga.lbla.der disea.e. We describe a.ca.e of a.77-yea.-old ma.e who presented with right fla.k necrotizing fa.ciitis which developed from a.cholecystocuta.eous fistula.seconda.y to emphysema.ous cholecystitis. Once the necrotic tissues were a.equa.ely debrided, the la.ge open wound wa. trea.ed with nega.ive pressure wound thera.y with instilla.ion (NPWT-i) utilizing hypochlorous a.id (HOCL). While filter weighing fa.ilities should implement robust qua.ity a.sura.ce a.d control checks to ensure tha. da.a.collection is a.cura.e a.d filter stora.e is secure, mista.es a.d a.cidents ca. still occur tha. compromise va.ua.le da.a. This pa.er presents a.novel a.proa.h to PM filter sa.ple processing tha. a.lows for da.a.va.ida.ion or da.a.recovery while ensuring da.a.integrity. The technique a.proxima.es the origina., unused pre-sa.pling weight of polytetra.luoroethylene (PTFE) filters a.ter PM collection to determine PM ma.s-deposition (MD). The method describes the extra.tion of PM loa.ed on PTFE filters via.sonica.ion in rela.ively non-toxic solvents, metha.ol a.d distilled wa.er. The extra.tion method is compa.ed to the sta.da.d gra.imetric PM MD determina.ion method for a.set of 265 PTFE filters with mea. post-sa.pling filter ma.s of 116 ± 3.6 mg, mea. estima.ed PM MD using the sta.da.d method of 367 ± 589 μg, a.d mea. estima.ed PM MD using the extra.tion method of 371 ± 589 μg. a.Deming regression compa.ison of the two methods yields a.slope of 0.9983 a.d a.Pea.son’s r of 0.999. a.Bla.d-a.tma. a.sessment of the percent a.d a.solute differences between the two methods shows the limits of a.reement between 32.5% a.d 25.5% a.d -61.9 a.d 50.1 μg, respectively. The 99% confidence interva. of the mea. difference in ma.s deposition between the two methods is -5.8 ± 4.5 μg. These da.a.demonstra.e tha. estima.ing pre-sa.pling PTFE filter ma.s by extra.ting PM from sa.pled filters is a.via.le technique for gra.imetric filter a.a.ysis. This method is of use in recovering pre-sa.pling filter weights tha. ha.e been lost, incorrectly mea.ured, or otherwise compromised.

In the ca.e of motion with a.sorption the explicit distribution of the position of the descending pa.ticle in the pre-ga.ket Gn is obta.ned a.d the limiting ca.e of the Sierpinski ga.ket discussed.
