Thyroid hormones play essential roles in spermatogenesis,but their effects on infertile males remain poorly *** study aimed to evaluate the impact of combining carbimazole(CBZ)with vitamin E(VE)on testicular injury induced by experimental hyperthyroidism in adult albino rats,focusing on oxidative,inflammatory,and apoptotic *** this experimental study,64 adult male albino Wistar rats were divided into eight groups:Group I(control-untreated),Group II(CBZ-control),Group III(VE-control),Group IV(CBZ+VE-control),Group V(levothyroxine-induced testicular injury),Group VI(levothyroxine+CBZ-treated),Group VII(levothyroxine+VE-treated),and Group VIII(levothyroxine+CBZ+VE-treated).The study was conducted in the Faculty of Medicine,suez Canal University(Ismailia,Egypt).After cervical decapitation,both testes and epididymis were examined histopathologically and *** differences were observed among groups concerning malondialdehyde(MDA),glutathione(GsH),superoxide dismutase(sOD),and catalase(CAT;all Pse chain reaction analysis showed significant differences in tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-10(IL-10),Bcl-2-associated X protein(BAX),B-cell lymphoma 2 protein(Bcl2),p53,Caspase-3,Caspase-8,Caspase-9,and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)mRNA levels(all Psticular side effects,affecting seminiferous tubules and ***,the Group VIII showed improved spermatogenesis and a decrease in testicular side *** addition of VE to the treatment of hyperthyroid rats with CBZ reduced testicular side effects and seminiferous tubular affection when potentially improving *** research is needed to elucidate the underlying mechanisms fully.

Charcoal Nanoparticles as a Delivery system for Doxorubicin and sorafenib in Treatment of Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common type of liver cancer and one of the leading causes of cancer-related death worldwide. Advanced HCC displays strong resistance to chemotherapy, and traditional chemotherapy drugs do not achieve satisfactory therapeutic efficacy. The delivery of therapeutic compounds to the target site is a major challenge in the treatment of many diseases. Objective: This study aims to evaluate activated charcoal nanoparticles as a drug delivery system for anticancer agents (sorafenib and Doxorubicin) in Hepatocellular Cancer stem Cells. Method: The percent efficiency of entrapment (% EE) of the doxorubicin and sorafenib entrapped onto the activated charcoal was obtained by determining the free doxorubicin and sorafenib concentration in the supernatant-prepared solutions. Then the characterizations of nanoparticles were formed by determination of the particle size distribution, zeta potential, and polydispersity index (PDI). The anticancer activity of activated Charcoal, Doxorubicin-ACNP, sorafenib-ACNP, free doxorubicin, and free sorafenib solutions was measured based on cell viability percentage in HepG2 cell lines (ATCC-CCL 75). In vitro RBC’s toxicity of Doxorubicin/sorafenib loaded charcoal was estimated by hemolysis percentage. Results: The synthesized Doxorubicin-ACNP and sorafenib-ACNP were evaluated and their physiochemical properties were also examined. Essentially, the percent Efficiency of Entrapment (EE %) was found to be 87.5% and 82.66% for Doxorubicin-ACNP and sorafenib-ACNP, respectively. The loading capacity was 34.78% and 24.31% for Doxorubicin-ACNP and sorafenib-ACNP. Using the Dynamic Light scattering [DLs] for the determination of the hydrodynamic size and surface zeta potential, a narrow sample size distribution was obtained of (18, 68, and 190 nm for charcoal, 105, 255, and 712 nm for doxorubicin, and 91, 295, and 955 nm for sorafenib), respectively. Carbon tetrachloride(CCl4)is a hepatotoxin that triggers liver *** study aimed to evaluate the protective effect of phytochemicals detected in Moringa oleifera *** extract(MOLE)on CCl4-induced hepatotoxicity in ***,total phenolics,and total fl avonoids were detected in *** markedly decreased the elevation of serum alanine aminotransferase(ALT)and aspartate aminotransferase(AsT)in consistence with the ameliorating effect on CCl4-induced histopathological ***,MOLE significantly alleviated the decrease in the antioxidant defense mechanism induced by *** suppressing effect of MOLE on the boosted inflammatory pathway triggered by CCl4 was detected by measuring the protein levels of nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B-cells(NF-κB-p65),toll-like receptor 4(TLR4),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin(IL)-6,IL-1β,and IL-8 as well as the relative expressions of nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB),TNF-α,IL-1β,and TLR4 *** and genotoxicity induced by CCl4 were signifi cantly alleviated by *** co-administration modulated TLR4/NF-κB pathway as presented by the suppressed gene expression of TLR4 and NF-κB as well as by the reduced protein expression of TLR4 and NF-κ*** conclusion,MOLE has a multifarious protective role against hepatotoxicity through control of oxidative stress and modulation of TLR4/NF-κB.

Invoice document digitization is crucial for efficient management in *** scanned invoice image is often noisy due to various *** affects the OCR(optical character recognition)detection *** this paper,letter data obtained from images of invoices are denoised using a modified autoencoder based deep learning method.A stacked denoising autoencoder(sDAE)is implemented with two hidden layers each in encoder network and decoder *** order to capture the most salient features of training samples,a undercomplete autoencoder is designed with non-linear encoder and decoder *** autoencoder is regularized for denoising application using a combined loss function which considers both mean square error and binary cross entropy.A dataset consisting of 59,119 letter images,which contains both English alphabets(upper and lower case)and numbers(0 to 9)is prepared from many scanned invoices images and windows true type(.ttf)files,are used for training the neural *** is analyzed in terms of signal to Noise Ratio(sNR),Peak signal to Noise Ratio(PsNR),structural similarity Index(ssIM)and Universal Image Quality Index(UQI)and compared with other filtering techniques like Nonlocal Means filter,Anisotropic diffusion filter,Gaussian filters and Mean *** performance of proposed sDAE is compared with existing sDAE with single loss function in terms of sNR and PsNR *** show the superior performance of proposed sDAE method.

Latency-Aware Dynamic second Offloading service in sDN-Based Fog Architecture

Task offloading is a key strategy in Fog Computing (FC). Thedefinition of resource-constrained devices no longer applies to sensors andInternet of Things (IoT) embedded system devices alone. smart and mobileunits can also be viewed as resource-constrained devices if the power, cloudapplications, and data cloud are included in the set of required resources. Ina cloud-fog-based architecture, a task instance running on an end device mayneed to be offloaded to a fog node to complete its execution. However, ina busy network, a second offloading decision is required when the fog nodebecomes overloaded. The possibility of offloading a task, for the second time,to a fog or a cloud node depends to a great extent on task importance, latencyconstraints, and required resources. This paper presents a dynamic service thatdetermines which tasks can endure a second offloading. The task type, latencyconstraints, and amount of required resources are used to select the offloadingdestination node. This study proposes three heuristic offloading *** algorithm targets a specific task type. An overloaded fog node can onlyissue one offloading request to execute one of these algorithms accordingto the task offloading priority. Offloading requests are sent to a softwareDefined Networking (sDN) controller. The fog node and controller determinethe number of offloaded tasks. simulation results show that the average timerequired to select offloading nodes was improved by 33% when compared tothe dynamic fog-to-fog offloading algorithm. The distribution of workloadconverges to a uniform distribution when offloading latency-sensitive nonurgenttasks. The lowest offloading priority is assigned to latency-sensitivetasks with hard deadlines. At least 70% of these tasks are offloaded to fognodes that are one to three hops away from the overloaded node.

Comprehensive evaluation and sensitivity analysis of regeneration energy for acid gas removal plant using single and activated-methyl diethanolamine solvents

The absorption of acid gas using reactive amines is among the most widely used types of capturing ***,the absorption process requires intensive energy expenditure majorly in the solvent regeneration *** study simultaneously evaluated the regeneration energy of MDEA and PZ/MDEA solvents in terms of heat of absorption,sensible heat,and vaporization *** Hysys version 8.8 simulation tool is applied to model the full acid gas removal plant for the chemical absorption *** new energy balance technique presents around the absorption and desorption columns to bring a new perspective of energy distribution in the capturing of acid gas *** analysis of regeneration energy and its three contributors is performed at several operation parameters such as absorber and stripper pressures,lean amine circulation rate,solvent concentration,reflux ratio,and CO2 and H2 s *** results show that the heat of absorption of PZ/MDEA system is higher than that for MDEA system for the same operating *** sensible heat is the main contributor in the required regeneration energy of MDEA solvent *** simulation results have been validated against data taken from real plant and *** product specifications of our simulation corroborate with real plant data in an excellent approach;additionally,the profile temperature of the absorber and the stripper columns are in good agreement with *** overall results highlight the direction of the effects of each parameter on the heat of absorption,sensible heat,and vaporization heat.

Effect of restoration technique on resistance to fracture of endodontically treated anterior teeth with flared root canals

This study was designed to compare the impact of post and core systems on resistance to fracture of endodontically treated anterior teeth with flared root canals and to assess their fracture pattern. sixty central incisors were cut horizontally 2 mm coronal to the cementoenamel junction(CEJ). After root canal therapy, teeth were assigned into 6 groups(n = 10 each) based on a post system and used as follows: Group C, non-flared root received size #1 glass fiber posts(Control); Group AP, flared root restored with anatomical post; Group RC, flared root restored with size #1 fiber post and cemented with thick layer of resin cement; Group CR, flared root restored with size #1 and reinforced with composite resin; Group CM, cast post-core; Group CP, CAD/CAM polymer-infiltrated ceramic post and *** post cementation, core build-up and crown insertion, the specimens were thermo-cycled up to 10,000 cycles(5 C/55 C; 30 seconds dwell time, 6 seconds transition time) and then statically loaded at 1 mm/minute crosshead speed using a universal testing machine. One-way ANOVA and Tukey HsD post hoc test(α= 0.05) were used for data analysis. Group C recorded significantly higher resistance to fracture values [(826.9±39.1) N] followed by group CP [(793.8±55.6) N] while group RC yielded the lowest fracture resistance values [(586.7±51.4) N]. The resistance to fracture of wide root canals can be enhanced by using one-piece CAM/CAM post and core as an alternative to the use of either glass fiber post, relined with composite resin increasing the thickness of luting cement or the use of cast post and core system. However, this was an in vitro investigation and further in vivo studies are necessary.

An approach to evaluate the efficiency of γ-ray detectors to determine the radioactivity in environmental samples

This work provides an approach to determine the efficiency of T-ray detectors with a good accuracy in order to determine the concentrations of either naturally occurring or artificially prepared radionuclides. This approach is based on the efficiency transfer formula （ET）, the effective solid angles, the self- absorptions of the source matrix, the attenuation by the source container and the detector housing materials on the detector efficiency. The experimental calibration process was done using radioactive （Cylindrical ＆ Marinelli） sources, in different dimensions, that contain aqueous 152Eu radionuclide. The comparison point to a fine agreement between the experimental measured and calculated efficiencies for the （NaI ＆ HPGe） detectors using volumetric radioactive sources.
