We report on an experiment performed at the FLASH2 free-electron laser(FeL)aimed at producing warm dense matter via soft x-ray isochoric *** the experiment,we focus on study of the ions emitted during the soft x-ray ablation process using time-of-flight electron multipliers and a shifted maxwell–Boltzmann velocity distribution *** find that most emitted ions are thermal,but that some impurities chemisorbed on the target surface,such as protons,are accelerated by the electrostatic field created in the plasma by escaped *** morphology of the complex crater structure indicates the presence of several ion groups with varying *** find that the ion sound velocity is controlled by the ion temperature and show how the ion yield depends on the FeL radiation attenuation length in different materials.

The effects of Zinc Sulfate on the in Vitro Digestibility of Feeds in Cervids

The captive white-tailed deer industry has an estimated impact of 1.6 billion USD in the state of Texas alone. However, nutritional requirements for cervids are determined through research based on sheep and goats. The objective of this study was to determine the effects of zinc on differences in dry matter digestibility in vitro for white-tailed does (Odocoileus virginianus). Deer (n = 2) were ethically harvested, rumens were collected, and placed into a cooler containing warm water. rumen contents were agitated, and fluid was filtered using cheese cloth while applying CO2. Fluid was placed into four separate incubator jars with filter bags containing a 1:1 alfalfa to coastal hay blend. Zinc doses of 0.073 mg/kg/d equivalents were added to two of the jars ( Zn), and the additional two jars received 0.00 mg/kg/d (CON). Following 48 h of incubation, in vitro true digestibility (IVTD) showed no significant differences between the control and the treatment groups. Average dry matter digested in vitro was 91.87% and 95.13%, respectively. There were no differences detected in ADF, NDF, IVTD, or Om between the treatment groups. While no detectable differences were observed in this study, this methodology did prove to be viable and functional for microbial digestion in vitro. This study can be replicated with multiple experimental units to confirm the observations of increased digestibility. Formal nutritional guidelines can be created to allow for more efficient feeding of cervids thereby reducing feed costs and continuing the growth of the captive deer industry.

A multispectral camera records image data in various wavelengths across the electromagnetic spectrum to acquire additional information that a conventional camera fails to *** the advent of high-resolution image sensors and color filter technologies,multispectral imagers in the visible wavelengths have become popular with increasing commercial viability in the last ***,multispectral imaging in longwave infrared(LWIr,8-14μm)is still an emerging area due to the limited availability of optical materials,filter technologies,and high-resolution *** from LWIr multispectral cameras can capture emission spectra of objects to extract additional information that a human eye fails to capture and thus have important applications in precision agriculture,forestry,medicine,and object *** this work,we experimentally demonstrate an LWIr multispectral image sensor with three wavelength bands using optical elements made of an aluminum(Al)-based plasmonic filter array sandwiched in germanium(Ge).To realize the multispectral sensor,the filter arrays are then integrated into a three-dimensional(3D)printed wheel stacked on a low-resolution monochrome thermal *** prototype device is calibrated using a blackbody and its thermal output has been enhanced with computer vision *** applying a state-of-theart deep learning method,we have also reconstructed multispectral images to a better spatial ***,our work demonstrates a versatile spectral thermography technique for detecting target signatures in the LWIr range and other advanced spectral analyses.

Introduction: malnutrition is a pathological state resulting from the relative deficiency or excess of one or more essential nutrients, whether manifested clinically or detected only by biochemical, anthropometric or physiological analyses. The overall objective was to assess the quality of management of acute malnutrition in children aged 0 - 24 months at the Boulbinet health center. methodology: This was a prospective descriptive study lasting six (06) months from may 5 to October 5, 2018. The study included all children aged 0 to 24 months. results: Acute malnutrition in children aged 0 - 24 months accounted for 2.11% of cases. The sex ratio was 1.41 in favor of males. The mean age of our patients was 5 months 7 days, with extremes of 1 month and 6 months. The majority came from ra toma (40.24%). exclusive breastfeeding was most common (54.02%). The main clinical signs were: pallor 49.42%, diarrhea 46.67, oral lesions37.96%. sam.represented 89.66% and mAm 10.34%. most associated pathologies: anemia 49.42% and oral candidiasis 37.93%. In terms of outcome, we recorded 56.32% cures, 20.69% deaths, 18.39% dropouts and 4.60% cures. Conclusion: Improving the quality of care for malnourished children aged 0 - 24 months requires raising awareness among mothers and the general public of the consequences of malnutrition.

recovery and grade prediction of pilot plant flotation column concentrate by a hybrid neural genetic algorithm

Today flotation column has become an acceptable means of froth flotation for a fairly broad range of applications, in particular the cleaning of sulfides. even after having been used for several years in mineral processing plants, the full potential of the flotation column process is still not fully exploited. There is no prediction of process performance for the complete use of available control capabilities. The on-line estimation of grade usually requires a significant amount of work in maintenance and calibration of on-stream analyzers, in order to maintain good accuracy and high availability. These difficulties and the high cost of investment and maintenance of these devices have encouraged the approach of prediction of metal grade and recovery. In this paper, a new approach has been proposed for metallurgical performance prediction in flotation columns using Artificial Neural Network (ANN). Despite of the wide range of applications and flexibility of NNs, there is still no general framework or procedure through which the appropriate network for a specific task can be designed. Design and structural optimization of NNs is still strongly dependent upon the designer's experience. To mitigate this problem, a new method for the auto-design of NNs was used, based on Genetic Algorithm (GA). The new proposed method was evaluated by a case study in pilot plant flotation column at Sarcheshmeh copper plant. The chemical reagents dosage, froth height, air, wash water flow rates, gas holdup, Cu grade in the rougher feed, flotation column feed, column tail and final concentrate streams were used to the simulation by GANN. In this work, multi-layer NNs with Back Propagation (BP) algorithm with 8-17-10-2 and 8- 13-6-2 arrangements have been applied to predict the Cu and mo grades and recoveries, respectively. This study explains the multi-decadal shoreline changes along the coast of Kanyakumari from 1980 *** shorelines are extracted from the Landsat images to estimate the shoreline dynamics and future predictions using Digital Shoreline Analysis System(DSAS).By the estimation of end Point rate(ePr)and Linear regression rate(Lrr),it is quantified that the maximum erosion is 5.01 m/yr(ePr)and 6.13 m/yr(Lrr)consistently with the maximum accretion of 3.77 m/yr(ePr)and 3.11 m/yr(Lrr)along the entire coastal stretch of 77 *** future shoreline predicted using the Kalman filter forecasted that Inayam,Periyakattuthurai and Kodimunai are highly prone to erosion with a shift of 170 m,157 m and 145 m by 2030 and 194 m,182 m and 165 m by 2040 towards the ***,the western coast is highly prone to erosion and it is predicted that certain villages are prone to loss of economy and *** outcome of this study may guide the coastal researchers to understand the evolution and decisionmakers to evolve with alternative sustainable management plans in the future.

An oral drug delivery system using proteinoid microspheres is discussed with respect to itsunique dependence on pH. It has been found that certain drugs such as insulin and heparin canbe encapsulated in proteinoid spheres at stomach pH's (1--3). These spheres also dissemble atintestinal pH's (6--7) releasing the drug for absorption. Using this technique low molecularweight heparin and human growth hormone have been orally delivered successfully to severalanimal species. Future work has been proposed to study the interaction and binding of thespecific drugs with synthesized oligopeptides.

Current study evaluated the effect of a fine and coarsely ground insoluble dietary fibre source on the gastrointestinal development of suckling *** hulls(OH)were selected as a model feedstuff,rich in cellulose,lignin,and insoluble dietary *** experimental supplemental diets were formulated:a finely ground,low fibre and nutrient dense diet served as control(CON).For the 2 high fibre diets,15%heat-treated starch in CON was exchanged with OH,either finely(OH-f)or coarsely ground(OH-c).Litters of 10 primi-and multiparous sows(mean litter size 14.6±0.84)were *** a litter,experimental diets were allotted to triplets of 4 *** approximately 12 d of age,piglets’individual feed intakes were recorded 2 times per day when separated from their dam for 70 *** could suckle with their dam for the remainder of the *** d 24 and 25,from the total pool of 120 piglets,seven healthy well-eating piglets per treatment were selected for post-mortem evaluation,resulting in 14 replicates per *** of OH-c and OH-f did not impede clinical health and production performance of *** full stomach weights tended to be greater for OH-c compared to OH-f whereas CON was intermediate(P=0.083).Supplementing OH significantly increased ileal villus height and caecal dry matter concentration(Pr the colon,OH increased its length,contents weight,short-chain fatty acid concentration and reduced total bacterial count as well asγ-proteobacteria count and proportion(Pe OH-c treatment specifically increased full gastrointestinal tract weight and caecum contents weight compared to piglets fed CON and ***,OH-c reduced colonic crypt depth when compared to OH-f(P=0.018).In conclusion,supplementing OH to a diet for suckling piglets exerted subtle developmental effects on gastrointestinal morphology and colonic microbial *** effects were largely independent from the particle size of the OH.
