A mild, configurable, flexible CoNi-LDh（v）/Zn battery based on h-vacancy-induced reversible Zn2+ intercalation

Flexible Zn-based batteries have attracted increasing research interest as essential components of wearable energy storage ***,the advancement of flexible aqueous Zn-based batteries based on Co-Ni layered double hydroxide （CoNi-LDh） as the cathode material is hampered by their poor cycling stability and the corrosiveness of alkaline ***,CoNi-LDh nanosheets enriched with h vacancies (CoNi-LDh（v）) were constructed on a flexible carbon cloth （CC） substrate via electrochemical deposition and *** Zn-based battery comprising CoNi-LDh（v）@CC as the cathode exhibited highly reversible conversion reactions and stable operation in 3 m ZnSO4electrolyte （ph=4）.The battery delivered an excellent specific capacity (225 mA h g-1,0.26 mA h cm-2),acceptable cycling stability（53.9%,900 cycles）,and high discharging *** abundant h vacancies served as active sites for the reversible intercalation of Zn2+and the extravasation of NO3-generated channels and space for Zn2+transport and storage,together enabling an excellent Zn2+storage ***,a sandwich-structured solid-state CoNi-LDh（v）@CC//Zn@CC battery was fabricated and was found to exhibit a noteworthy electrochemical performance and mechanical *** a proof of concept,the unencapsulated battery powered a digital watch under various deformation conditions and operated stably for 80 ***,the flexible battery displayed outstanding customizability,maintaining an open-circuit voltage of 1.42 V even after being cut *** proposed engineering strategy contributes to the realization of textiles with truly wearable energy-storage devices.

Responses of Soil microbial Community Structure and Diversity to Agricultural Deintensification

Using a scheme of agricultural fields with progressively less intensive management (deintensification), different manage- ment practices in six agroecosystems located near Goldsboro, NC, USA were tested in a large-scale experiment, including two cash-grain cropping systems employing either tillage (CT) or no-tillage (NT), an organic farming system (OR), an integrated cropping system with animals (IN), a successional field (SU), and a plantation woodlot (WO). microbial phos- pholipid fatty acid (PLFA) profiles and substrate utilization patterns (BIOLOG ECO plates) were measured to examine the effects of deintensification on the structure and diversity of soil microbial communities. Principle component analyses of PLFA and BIOLOG data showed that the microbial community structure diverged among the soils of the six systems. Lower microbial diversity was found in lowly managed ecosystem than that in intensive and moderately managed agro- ecosystems, and both fungal contribution to the total identified PLFAs and the ratio of microbial biomass C/N increased along with agricultural deintensification. Significantly higher ratios of C/N (P he WO and SU systems, and for fungal/bacterial PLFAs in the WO system (P here were also significant decreases (P h agricultural deintensification for contributions of total bacterial and gram positive (G+) bacterial PLFAs. Agricultural deintensification could facilitate the development of microbial communities that favor soil fungi over bacteria.

Effect of partition coefficient on microsegregation during solidification of aluminium alloys

In the modeling of microsegregation, the partition coefficient is usually calculated using data from the equilibrium phase diagrams. The aim of this study was to experimentally and theoretically analyze the partition coefficient in binary aluminum--copper alloys. The sam- ples were analyzed by differential thermal analysis （DTA）, which were melted and quenched from different temperatures during solidifica- tion. The mass fraction and composition of phases were measured by image processing and scanning electron microscopy （SEm） equipped with an energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy （EDS） unit. These data were used to calculate as the experimental partition coefficients with four different methods. The experimental and equilibrium partition coefficients were used to model the concentration profile in the primary phase. The modeling results show that the profiles calculated by the experimental partition coefficients are more consistent with the experi- mental profiles, compared to those calculated using the equilibrium partition coefficients.

到目前为止,油/水的分离是一个世界性的问题,大量废油和溢油的排放对人类的健康和整个的生存环境造成了很大的危害。因此,我们必须要制备出拥有相应功能的材料,以防出现处理此类问题的需要。虽然目前有许多材料可用于补救石油泄漏的情况,但这些材料往往效率低下,并且从某种意义上来说,这些材料也不环保。近年来,超疏水材料因其可应用方向众多而备受关注。而我们这项研究的目的就是制造用于油/水分离的超/疏水材料。首先,我们采用简单而低成本的工艺,制备与Si O溶胶结合的羟基化BN,然后通过浸涂的方法,在聚氨酯(PU)泡沫上嵌入BN/Si O(BN/Si O@PU)。BN/Si O@PU由于其自身的疏水性,它会漂浮在水面上,所以我们选择使用各种有机溶剂或油进行吸收测试以测试其性能。与BN/Si O气凝胶、BN@PU和Si O@PU相比,BN/Si O@PU对有机溶剂和油具有较高的吸收率和高吸收能力,可吸收多达40倍自身的重量。它还能够选择性地从油水混合物中吸收油或有机溶剂,分离效率高于95%,具有良好的可回收性与20个吸收周期,甚至可以用于商业废油的分离处理。其次,通过在亚麻织物上浸涂六甲基二硅氮烷(PDmS)、ZIF-90和氟硅烷(FAS)来制备改性织物。PDmS是自然界中一种已知的疏水性有机硅,我们将它涂在织物上,它作为潜在的疏水剂,可在表面遭到破坏时迁移到表面,以恢复疏水性。然后我们将经水热合成制备的ZIF-90涂在麻织物上,以提供纳米级粗糙度,再用FAS进行改性,以提高疏水性。得到的改性麻织物具有超强的疏水性,水接触角(WCA)为151°。同时,它还表现出了对几种油/水乳液的良好分离能力,达到了99.5%的最大分离效率和1213 L m h的通量。改性麻织物具有出色的可回收性,可回收10个周期,在机械耐久性和化学稳定性测试方面也表现出良好的稳定性,可在室温下通过热处理自行修复。在第三项工作中,我们用蛋黄壳Si O-Ti O纳米粒子和六甲基二硅氮烷(hmDS)涂层修饰聚丙烯无纺布涂层,制成了超疏水织物。改性织物的水接触角(WCA)为154°。它还显示了对多个油/水乳液的良好分离能力,最大分离效率达到99.5%,通量为3558 L mh。改性织物具有出色的可回收性,可回收10个周期,分离效率超过98%,通量超过3500 L mh。改性织物具有良好的机械耐久性,200次磨损周期后仍然是超疏水表面。它还对hSO、Na Oh、盐溶液和DmF表现出良好的化学稳定性。它也可以在室温下和高温下自我修复。这些数据证明改性超疏水材料具有良好的机械和化学稳定性,自我修复能力和油/水乳液的高效分离效率。

Bimetallic zeolitic imidazolate framework-derived substrate-free anode with superior cyclability for high-capacity lithium-ion batteries

Freestanding carbon nanofibers loaded with bimetallic hollow nanocage structures were *** nanocages inherited the rhombic dodecahedral morphology of the zeolitic imidazolate framework(ZIF)precursors,ZIF-8 and *** anode materials for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs),the bimetallic nanocage-loaded freestanding carbon nanofibers effectively buffered volume expansions and alleviated pulverization through their different reduction and oxidation *** higher capacities of the composite anodes arose via the formation of the Li_(x)Zn alloy and Li_(2)O by Zn and Co ions,respectively,and the enhanced conductivity conferred by the carbon nanofibers.A synergistic effect of the composite components toward the strong electrochemical performance(688 m A h·g^(-1)at 1200 m A·g^(-1))of the bimetallic nanocage-loaded fibers was demonstrated through the superior long-term stability of the anode(1048 m A h·g^(-1)after 300 cycles at 100 m A·g^(-1)),suggesting that the fabricated anode can be a promising material for use in portable LIBs.

Assignment of ethnicity in patients with acute ischemic stroke in northern Israel

The description of various methods for ethnicity classification can be found in the literature, though their reliability still remains unclear. We examined inter-observer agreement in defining the ethnic identification of patients in a bi-ethnic population (Arab-Jewish) in northern Israel, using place of birth and residence in addition to given and family names. Data about 1006 consecutive patients with acute ischemic stroke were gathered from our stroke registry. The data were analyzed by four independent observers (authors mh, TD, hh, GT) aiming to assign patients either as Arabs or Jews. Agreement between all four observers was excellent, as assessed by Fleiss’ Kappa statistic (κ = 0.96). We conclude that the use of given and family names of patients, together with their place of birth and residence, achieved near-perfect inter-observer agreement and a highly reliable assignment of ethnicity in two large ethnic population groups–Arabs and Jews–in northern Israel.

The Impact of Adding magnesium Sulfate to Bupivacaine versus Bupivacaine Alone in Fascia Iliaca Compartment Block in Burn Patients Undergoing Skin Grafting Procedures;Comparative Study

Purpose: The purpose of the study is to evaluate the analgesic effect of adding magnesium sulfate to bupivacaine in Fascia Iliaca Compartment Block (FI-CB). Patients and methods: Ninety-six burn patients scheduled for skin-grafting procedures were allocated into two equal groups. After induction of general anaethesia, forty-eight patients received US guided FICB using 35 ml bupivacaine 0.25% + 5 ml isotonic sodium chloride solution with a total volume of 40 ml. The other forty-eight patients received 35 ml bupivacaine 0.25% + 250 mg of magnesium sulfate with a total volume of 40 ml. Results: Total postoperative pethidine consumption in the first 24 h post-operative showed a highly statistically significant decrease in the magnesium group in comparison to the bupivacaine group. Conclusion: Adding magnesium sulfate to bupivacaine in FICB in skin grafting procedures decreased the pain scores post-operative, delayed the first request of analgesia and reduced the total analgesic consumption in the first 24 h post-operative without any significant side effects.
