The captive white-tailed deer industry has an estim.ted im.act of 1.6 billion USD in the state of Texas alone. However, nutritional requirem.nts for cervids are determ.ned through research based on sheep and goats. The objective of this study was to determ.ne the effects of zinc on differences in dry m.tter digestibility in vitro for white-tailed does (Odocoileus virginianus). Deer (n = 2) were ethically harvested, rum.ns were collected, and placed into a cooler containing warm.water. Rum.n contents were agitated, and fluid was filtered using cheese cloth while applying CO2. Fluid was placed into four separate incubator jars with filter bags containing a 1:1 alfalfa to coastal hay blend. Zinc doses of 0.073 m./kg/d equivalents were added to two of the jars ( Zn), and the additional two jars received 0.00 m./kg/d (CON). Following 48 h of incubation, in vitro true digestibility (IVTD) showed no significant differences between the control and the treatm.nt groups. Average dry m.tter digested in vitro was 91.87% and 95.13%, respectively. There were no differences detected in ADF, NDF, IVTD, or Om.between the treatm.nt groups. While no detectable differences were observed in this study, this m.thodology did prove to be viable and functional for m.crobial digestion in vitro. This study can be replicated with m.ltiple experim.ntal units to confirm.the observations of increased digestibility. Form.l nutritional guidelines can be created to allow for m.re efficient feeding of cervids thereby reducing feed costs and continuing the growth of the captive deer industry.

We report the confirm.tion of a sub-Saturn-size exoplanet,TOI-1194 b,with a m.ss of about 0.456+0.055-0.051m.(J),and a very low m.ss com.anion star with a m.ss of about 96.5±1.5 m.,TOI-1251 *** candidates provided by the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite(TESS)are suitable for further follow-up observations by ground-based telescopes with sm.ll and m.dium.*** analysis is perform.d based on data from.several telescopes worldwide,including telescopes in the Sino-Germ.n m.ltiband photom.tric cam.aign,which aim.d at confirm.ng TESS Objects of Interest(TOIs)using ground-based sm.ll-aperture and m.dium.aperture telescopes,especially for long-period ***-1194 b is confirm.d based on the consistent periodic transit depths from.the m.ltiband photom.tric *** m.asure an orbital period of 2.310644±0.000001 days,the radius is 0.767+0.045-0.041RJ and the am.litude of the RV curve is 69.4_(-7.3)^(+7.9)m.s^(-1).TOI-1251 B is confirm.d based on the m.ltiband photom.tric and high-resolution spectroscopic data,whose orbital period is 5.963054+0.000002-0.000001days,radius is 0.947+0.035-0.033 R_(J) and am.litude of the RV curve is 9849_(-40)^(+42)m.^(-1).

An oral drug delivery system.using proteinoid m.crospheres is discussed with respect to itsunique dependence on pH. It has been found that certain drugs such as insulin and heparin canbe encapsulated in proteinoid spheres at stom.ch pH's (1--3). These spheres also dissem.le atintestinal pH's (6--7) releasing the drug for absorption. Using this technique low m.lecularweight heparin and hum.n growth horm.ne have been orally delivered successfully to severalanim.l species. Future work has been proposed to study the interaction and binding of thespecific drugs with synthesized oligopeptides.

A variety of form.lations was investigated for the fabrication of an appropriate shielding rubber to be used in neutron–gam.a m.xed fields. Having considered the required m.chanical properties together with tungsten as the gam.a-ray absorbing elem.nt, calculations with m.NPX 2.6 code confirm.d that the incorporation of 5 weight percentage(wt%) of boron carbide exhibited the best perform.nce as a therm.l neutron absorber. A series of both experim.ntal and sim.lation results are provided for com.arison.

A new putative transposon was identified in the tobacco budworm. Helio- this virescens. This transposon was characterized as a full length CORE-SINE （65 bp of ＂CORE＂ core specific nucleotide short interspersed elem.nts） that resem.led sequences from.three other lepidopterans and hum.ns. In particular, the A-box and B-box regions of this sequence m.st closely conform.d to the signature of CORE-SINEs from.widely divergent species. This CORE-SINE was present as a polym.rphism.in a hypervariable region of the gene hscp, which is the target of pyrethroid insecticides and other xenobiotics in the nerve axon. We described this new putative transposon as Noct-1 due to its presence in a noctuid m.th. This is the first description of a full-length CORE-SINE with the A-box, B-box, target site duplication, and candidate core dom.in from.an insect.

Today flotation colum. has becom. an acceptable m.ans of froth flotation for a fairly broad range of applications, in particular the cleaning of sulfides. Even after having been used for several years in m.neral processing plants, the full potential of the flotation colum. process is still not fully exploited. There is no prediction of process perform.nce for the com.lete use of available control capabilities. The on-line estim.tion of grade usually requires a significant am.unt of work in m.intenance and calibration of on-stream.analyzers, in order to m.intain good accuracy and high availability. These difficulties and the high cost of investm.nt and m.intenance of these devices have encouraged the approach of prediction of m.tal grade and recovery. In this paper, a new approach has been proposed for m.tallurgical perform.nce prediction in flotation colum.s using Artificial Neural Network (ANN). Despite of the wide range of applications and flexibility of NNs, there is still no general fram.work or procedure through which the appropriate network for a specific task can be designed. Design and structural optim.zation of NNs is still strongly dependent upon the designer's experience. To m.tigate this problem. a new m.thod for the auto-design of NNs was used, based on Genetic Algorithm.(GA). The new proposed m.thod was evaluated by a case study in pilot plant flotation colum. at Sarcheshm.0} copper plant. The chem.cal reagents dosage, froth height, air, wash water flow rates, gas holdup, Cu grade in the rougher feed, flotation colum. feed, colum. tail and final concentrate stream. were used to the sim.lation by GANN. In this work, m.lti-layer NNs with Back Propagation (BP) algorithm.with 8-17-10-2 and 8- 13-6-2 arrangem.nts have been applied to predict the Cu and m. grades and recoveries, respectively. The correlation coefficient (R) values for the testing sets for Cu and m. grades were 0.93, 0.94 and for their recoveries were 0.93, 0.92, respectively. The results disc

We report on an experim.nt perform.d at the FLASH2 free-electron laser(FEL)aim.d at producing warm.dense m.tter via soft x-ray isochoric *** the experim.nt,we focus on study of the ions em.tted during the soft x-ray ablation process using tim.-of-flight electron m.ltipliers and a shifted m.xwell–Boltzm.nn velocity distribution *** find that m.st em.tted ions are therm.l,but that som. im.urities chem.sorbed on the target surface,such as protons,are accelerated by the electrostatic field created in the plasm. by escaped *** m.rphology of the com.lex crater structure indicates the presence of several ion groups with varying *** find that the ion sound velocity is controlled by the ion tem.erature and show how the ion yield depends on the FEL radiation attenuation length in different m.terials.
