Adaptability of two cellulase producing strains Bacillus sp. sH and Aspergillus oryzae y21 in whole wheat dough and impact on the quality of whole wheat bread

Compared to refined wheat flour， whole wheat flour contains higher nutrients， but its high content of dietary fiber can have a significant impact on the quality of the final product. Therefore， how to enable consumers to obtain health benefits from whole wheat flour and improve the processing performance of whole wheat products has become a concern. The purpose of this study is to apply two strains Bacillus sp. sH and Aspergillus oryzae y21 with cellulase production capacity and study their adaptability in whole wheat dough. The results indicate that the addition of cellulase-producing strains enhanced the acid production ability of whole wheat dough， rapidly reduced its pH value and insoluble dietary fiber content， and significantly increased the water-soluble arabinoxylan and water-soluble dietary fiber content. During the fermentation process， the viscoelasticity of the dough decreased， free sulfhydryl content increased， wet gluten content decreased， and the degree of reduction was consistent with the degree of acidification. Moreover， the proteolytic activity of the dough was increased， and the hydrolysis of gliadin was the most extensive. Bacillus sp. sH showed a higher advantage and has been used in whole wheat bread making. Increasing the proportion of strain sH in whole wheat bread can improve the structural characteristics and texture of the bread. When sH (5 × 107CFU/g) is added to whole wheat bread， its hardness， elasticity， chewiness， and resilience can be similar to those of bread made from control group wheat flour， far exceeding that of whole wheat bread without adding sH. The addition of cellulase producing strains has obvious advantages in the development of whole-wheat dough， and also promote the development of whole wheat fermented foods as staple foods.

miR-18a has been identified as a significantly expressed microRNA(miRNA)in non-small cell lung cancer(NsCLC)and plays a vital role in cancer cell transformation,metastasis,and ***,a pair of binary probes from numerous probe pairs based on single nucleotide polymorphism analyses of miR-18a and miR-18b was first designed and screened to develop a y-shaped ratio biosensor for accurate detection of serum miR-18a in *** special structure of the binary probes combined with the hairpin showed strong specificity for miR-18a,which was confirmed by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis assay and square wave voltammetry ***,it is beneficial to immobilize single-stranded DNA(ssDNA)probes due to the large specific surface area of nanoporous gold,thereby improving the sensitivity of the *** y-shaped ratio biosensor exhibited a wide detection range and can quantify the concentration of miR-18a in the range of 10 fmol/L–100 pmol/L,with a limit of detection of 0.211 fmol/L(s/N=3).Moreover,it exhibits excellent detection capabilities in serum samples since the biosensor showed a high selectivity toward the coexistence of miR-18a and ***,the prepared y-shaped ratio biosensor is a highly sensitive and specific miR-18a detection tool,capable of identifying microscopic amounts of miR-18a in serum samples,providing great potential for early screening of NsCLC.

Dual-functional poly(2-methyl-2-oxazoline)/poly(2-(dimethylamine)ethyl methacrylate)mixed brushes with switchable protein adsorption and antibacterial properties

Herein,binary mixed brushes consisting of poly(2-methyl-2-oxazoline)(PMOXA)and poly(2-(dimethylamine)ethyl methacrylate)(PDMAEMA)with different chain lengths were fabricated by successive grafting of NH_(2)-terminated PMOXA and sH-terminated PDMAEMA onto polydopamine-anchored *** mixed-brush coating was characterized by variable-angle spectroscopic ellipsometry,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,zeta potential measurements,water contact angle,and atomic force *** mixed brushes showed tunable surface charge,wettability,and surface roughness,depending on the degree of PDMAEMA swelling under varying pH and ionic strength(Ⅰ).Then the adsorption behaviors of pepsin,bovine serum albumin(BsA),γ-globulin,and lysozyme,four very different proteins with regard to isoelectric point,on the mixed brushes coating were studied by using fluorescence microscopy and surface plasmon *** the chain length of PDMAEMA was about twice as long as PMOXA,the mixed brushes not only had high adsorption capacity for pepsin,BsA,and y-globulin but also had a desorption efficiency of 86.9%,87.1%,and 93.5%,*** is explained that electrostatic attraction between the protonated PDMAEMA and positively charged acidic proteins(pepsin and BsA,whose isoelectric points were below the pK_(a) of PDMAEMA)would drive the intensive adsorption(at pH 3,I=10^(-3)mol·L^(-1)for pepsin,and pH 5,I=10^(-5)mol·L^(-1)for BsA),while desorption was dominated by the hydrophilic PMOXA when PDMAEMA was shrinking(at pH 7,I=10^(-1)mol·L^(-1)for pepsin,and pH 9,I=10^(-1)mol·L^(-1)for BsA).Furthermore,the isoelectric precipitation led to the adsorption of neutral protein(γ-globulin,whose isoelectric point was near the pK_a of PDMAEMA)at pH 7,I=10^(-5)mol·L^(-1),while electrostatic repulsion and antifouling PMOXA triggered the desorption of y-globulin at pH 3,I-10^(-1)mol·L^(-1).However,alkaline protein(lysozyme,whose isoelectric point was higher than

Using e^(+)e^(−)annihilation data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93 fb^(−1)taken at the center-of-mass energy√s=3.773 GeV with the BEsIII detector,a joint amplitude analysis is performed on the decays D^(0)→π^(+)π^(−)π^(+)π^(−)and D^(0)→π^(+)π^(−)π^(0)π^(0)(non-η).The fit fractions of individual components are obtained,and large interferences among the dominant components of the decays D^(0)→a_(1)(1260)π,D^(0)→π(1300)π,D^(0)→ρ(770)ρ(770),and D^(0)→2(ππ)_(s)are observed in both *** the obtained amplitude model,the CP-even fractions of D^(0)→π^(+)π^(−)π^(+)π^(−)and D^(0)→π^(+)π^(−)π^(0)π^(0)(non-η)are determined to be(75.2±1.1_(stat).±1.5_(syst.))%and(68.9±1.5_(stat).±2.4_(syst.))%,*** branching fractions of D^(0)→π^(+)π^(−)π^(+)π^(−)and D^(0)→π^(+)π^(−)π^(0)π^(0)(non-η)are measured to be(0.688±0.010_(stat.)±0.010_(syst.))%and(0.951±0.025_(stat.)±0.021_(syst.))%,*** amplitude analysis provides an important model for the binning strategy in measuring the strong phase parameters of D^(0)→4πwhen used to determine the CKM angleγ(ϕ_(3))via the B^(−)→DK^(−)decay.

Alzheimer’s disease is the most frequent form of dementia characterized by the deposition of amyloid-beta plaques and neurofibrillary tangles consisting of hyperphosphorylated *** amyloid-beta plaques has been a primary direction for developing Alzheimer’s disease treatments in the last ***,existing drugs targeting amyloid-beta plaques have not fully yielded the expected results in the clinic,necessitating the exploration of alternative therapeutic *** evidence unravels that astrocyte morphology and function alter in the brain of Alzheimer’s disease patients,with dysregulated astrocytic purinergic receptors,particularly the P2y1 receptor,all of which constitute the pathophysiology of Alzheimer’s *** receptors are not only crucial for maintaining normal astrocyte function but are also highly implicated in neuroinflammation in Alzheimer’s *** review delves into recent insights into the association between P2y1 receptor and Alzheimer’s disease to underscore the potential neuroprotective role of P2y1 receptor in Alzheimer’s disease by mitigating neuroinflammation,thus offering promising avenues for developing drugs for Alzheimer’s disease and potentially contributing to the development of more effective treatments.

Growth of RB Population in the Conversion Phase of Chlamydia Life Cycle

Upon infecting a host cell,the reticulate body(RB)form of the Chlamydia bacteria simply proliferates by binary fission for an extended *** data show only RB units in the infected cells 20 hours post infection(hpi),spanning nearly half way through the development *** data collected every 4 hpi,conversion to the elementary body(EB)form begins abruptly at a rapid rate sometime around 24 *** modeling proliferation and conversion as simple birth and death processes,it has been shown that the optimal strategy for maximizing the total(mean)EB population at host cell lysis time is a bang-bang control qualitatively replicating the observed conversion ***,the simple birth and death model for the RB proliferation and conversion to EB deviates in a significant way from the available data on the evolution of the RB population after the onset of RB-to-EB *** working with a more refined model that takes into account a small size threshold eligibility requirement for conversion noted in the available data,we succeed in removing the deficiency of the previous models on the evolution of the RB population without affecting the optimal bang-bang conversion strategy.

In this work,the microstructure and mechanical properties of large cross-sectioned Mg-9Gd-3y-1.2Zn-0.5Zr(VWZ931)samples produced by the small extrusion ratio has been *** as-extruded VWZ931 sample with diameter of~30 mm can exhibit the high yield strength(ys)of 339 MPa,ultimate tensile strength(UTs)of 387 MPa and elongation of 8.2%,*** peak-aged,the ys and UTs of the Mg samples were significantly increased to 435 MPa and 467 *** small extrusion ratio leads to the low fraction of dynamic recrystallized(DRX)grains in VWZ931 sample,and the texture hardening effect can be fully utilized to achieve high *** combined effect of precipitation strengthening due to the long-period stacking ordered phases and theβ′phase,grain boundary strengthening due to the fine DRX grains,heterogeneous deformation-induced strengthening caused by bimodal microstructure,can together contribute to the high strength of present Mg *** findings can shed light on designing other large-sized Mg wrought alloys with high mechanical performance.
