Design and application of biodegradable coronary stents： what will be brought by further innovations in materials science？

BACKGROUND: With the social and economic development and aging, coronary heart disease has become the primary cause of death endangering human life and health, while cardiovascular intervention (especially stenting) in the treatment of cardiovascular disease is at a growing status. OBJECTIVE: To describe the development, research progress and latest clinical application of heart interventional materials as well as advantages and disadvantages of biodegradable stents, and meanwhile to prospect for its future development and improvement. METHODS: A computer-based online search was conducted in PubMed for English language publications from January 1999 to April 2014 using the key words of "stent, scaffold, bioabsorbable, bioresorbable, biodegradable, biocompatibility, material properties" in English. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The new fully biodegradable stents are considered as another major progress in the cardiac intervention, which brings a new gospel for patients with coronary heart disease. In the initial stage of implantation, biodegradable stents exhibit the same mechanical support as bare metal stents; after implantation, anti-proliferative drugs are released to prevent thrombosis and restenosis, and the stent is completely degraded within a specified period, which significantly reduces the late-stage and very late-stage thrombosis and the risk of in-stent restenosis. However, long-term safety and efficacy of biodegradable stents need further studies. Innovation of stent design and materials science is the key to overcome the current shortcomings of biodegradable stents.

Background： Coronary computed tomographic angiography （CCTA） has been widely used in patients who are at intemaediate risk for having stable coronary artery disease （SCAD）, and 2013 European Society of Cardiology Guidelines on the Management of SCAD （2013G） recommended the appropriate application of CCTA. However, 2013G has not been subjected to systematic analyses for subsequent impact on clinical practice. Methods： A total of 5320 patients suspected with SCAD were enrolled and scheduled for CCTA from March 2013 to September 2014. For each patient, pretest probability of SCAD was calculated according to updated Diamond-Forrester model （UDFM）. Appropriate CCTA or appropriate stress test was determined as described in the 2013G. A generalized estimating equation model was used to determine the trends in the half-monthly rate of appropriate CCTA. Results： Overall, only 61.37% of patients received appropriate CCTA, and there was insignificant change over time （P = 0.8701）. The application of CCTA in patients who should have had a stress test accounted for most of the inappropriate CCTA before （22.29%） or after （19.98%） the publication of the 2013G. In all patients or any subgroup, no significant change in the adjusted half-monthly rate of appropriate CCTA was found after the publication of the 2013G （odds ratio, 1.002; 95% confidence interval, 0.982-1.021; P = 0.8678）. Conclusions： These findings suggest that the 2013G have not, to date, been fully incorporated into clinical practice, and the clinical utilization of CCTA remains unreasonable to some extent.

The intestinal health of chick embryos is vital for their life-long growth,and exogenous nutrition intervention may provide sufficient nutrition for embryonic *** the present study,we investigated the effect of in ovo injection of L-methionine(L-Met)on the intestinal structure and barrier function of chick *** were 4 groups of treatments:the control(CON)group injected with phosphate-buffered saline(PBS)and the other 3 groups injected with 5,10,and 20 mg L-Met/egg,*** injection was performed on embryonic day 9(E9),and intestinal samples were collected on the day of hatching for *** results showed that,compared with the CON group,the groups administered an in ovo injection of L-Met increased relative weights of the duodenum,jejunum,and ileum(Pjunum(Pjunction proteins(ZO-1 and claudin-1)and the fluorescence signal intensity of Ki67 and villin proteins(P<0.05).Further,the protein expression of phospho-Janus kinase 2(p-JAK2)and phospho-signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(p-STAT3)was significantly increased by 10 or 20 mg L-Met injection(P<0.05).In conclusion,the injection of L-Met,especially at a dose of 10 mg,showed beneficial effects on the intestinal integrity of chick embryos due to the activation of the JAK2/STAT3 signaling *** results may provide new insights for regulating the intestinal development of embryonic chicks and the rapid growth of chicks after hatching.

The excitation functions of two very similar reaction channels, 58Fe+208Pb→265Hs+1n and 58Fe+209Bi →266Mt+1n are studied in the framework of the dinuclear system conception. The fusion probabilities are found to be strongly subject to the structure of the driving potential. Usually the fusion probability is hindered by a barrier from the injection channel towards the compound nuclear configuration. The barrier towards the mass symmetrical direction, however, also plays an important role for the fusion probability, because the barrier hinders the quasi-fission, and therefore helps fusion.

The circadian clock participates in maintaining homeostasis in peripheral tissues,including intervertebral discs(IVDs).Abnormal mechanical loading is a known risk factor for intervertebral disc degeneration(IDD).Based on the rhythmic daily loading pattern of rest and activity,we hypothesized that abnormal mechanical loading could dampen the IVD clock,contributing to ***,we investigated the effects of abnormal loading on the IVD clock and aimed to inhibit compression-induced IDD by targeting the core clock molecule brain and muscle Arnt-like protein-1(BMAL1).In this study,we showed that BMAL1 KO mice exhibit radiographic features similar to those of human IDD and that BMAL1 expression was negatively correlated with IDD severity by systematic analysis based on 149 human IVD *** intrinsic circadian clock in the IVD was dampened by excessive loading,and BMAL1 overexpression by lentivirus attenuated compression-induced *** of the RhoA/ROCK pathway by Y-27632 or melatonin attenuated the compression-induced decrease in BMAL1 ***,the two drugs partially restored BMAL1 expression and alleviated IDD in a diurnal compression *** results first show that excessive loading dampens the circadian clock of nucleus pulposus tissues via the RhoA/ROCK pathway,the inhibition of which potentially protects against compression-induced IDD by preserving BMAL1 *** findings underline the importance of the circadian clock for IVD homeostasis and provide a potentially effective therapeutic strategy for IDD.

【目的/意义】厘清信息细化概念边界,剖析区块链环境下舆情信息细化特征,解构舆情信息细化网络,推动信息细化理论应用,为网络舆情管理提供启示。【方法/过程】本研究基于信息细化和舆情传播理论,提出区块链环境下舆情信息细化系统模型,采集Steemit和新浪微博新冠疫情数据,采用社会网络分析方法运用Gephi工具进行实证研究。【结果/结论】区块链环境下的舆情信息细化网络为无标度网络,用户信息细化水平较高,信息精致阐释基础上展开信息细化行为特征明显。【创新/局限】本文所构建的舆情信息细化模型拓展了信息细化理论在舆情管理领域的应用,对发挥信息细化在舆情信息传播和知识创新之间的桥梁作用也具有实用价值,但在数据采集规模、数据标注结果检验、信息细化概念边界等方面还有待完善和拓展。

A computational study using M06 method on the cyclopropanation of endo-dicyclopentadiene with Simmons-Smith zinc carbenoids is *** channel proceeds via the methylene-transfer *** channels with IZn CH2I attacking the double bonds from the exo-face have much lower barrier（about 16.17-18.43 kcal/mol）in gas phase,compared with the channels from the endo-face（21.80-31.13 kcal/mol）.So P1 and P3 are the primary cyclopropanated compounds,and P5 is the sole final product,representing remarkable *** the bulk solvent effect of diethyl ether,the barriers are decreased about 0.50-7.77 kcal/*** solvated（ICH2）2Zn can further reduce the barriers about 0.18-2.30 kcal/mol and retain the *** computational results suggest that both IZn CH2I and（ICH2）2Zn might be the active species in real reaction system,in good agreement with experimental *** regard to the solvent effect,the polar continuum model is more realistic than the direct involvment of diethyl ether molecules.

Background Compensatory sweating （CS） is one of the most common postoperative complications after thoracic sympathectomy, sympathicotomy or endoscopic sympathetic block （ESB） for palmar hyperhidrosis. This study was conducted to examine the relevance between CS and the sympathetic segment being transected in the surgical treatment of palmar hyperhidrosis, and thus to detect the potential mechanism of the occurrence of CS. Methods Between October 2004 and june 2006, 163 patients with primary hyperhidrosis were randomly divided into two groups, T3 sympathicotomy （78 patients） and T4 sympathicotomy（85）, who were operated upon under general anesthesia via single lumen intubation and intercostal video-mediastinoscopy （VM）. Results No morbidity or mortality occurred. Palmar hyperhidrosis was cured in all patients. Follow-up（mean （13.8i-6.2） months） showed no recurrence of palmar hyperhidrosis. The difference of rates of mild CS in groups T3 and T4 was of no statistical significance. The rate of moderate CS was significantly lower in group T4 than in group T3. No severe CS occurred. Conclusion The rates of occurrence and severity of CS are lowered with the lower sympathetic chain being transected.
