The impact of foot reflexology on fatigue and sleep quality in school-aged children undergoing hemodialysis

Objective:This study aimed to evaluate the effects of foot reflexology on fatigue and sleep quality in school-aged children receiving ***:A quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design was *** children of ages 6-12 undergoing in-center hemodialysis were *** Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)and Inventory of Fatigue Symptom(IFS)scales were administered at *** then received 30 min of foot reflexology massage before hemodialysis sessions 3 days per week for 12 *** administration of the sleep and fatigue scales occurred after the intervention ***:Reflexology massage led to significant improvements in sleep quality components,including duration(0%-30%normal sleepers),efficiency(0%-50%>85%),latency(50%-0%>60 min),disturbances,and daytime *** mean PSQI score decreased from 18.2 to 9.7(P<0.05).Fatigue severity substantially decreased,with the mean IFS score improving from 105.7 to 64.1(P<0.05).Conclusion:Foot reflexology is an effective nursing intervention for reducing fatigue and improving sleep quality in children on hemodialysis,warranting integration into routine care.

The integration between the special relativity theory and quantum mechanics yielded many paradoxes that remained unsolved until the last years, like the zitterbewegung problem. Despite the success of the Dirac equation, the spin prediction from it could be identified only with non-relativistic approximations（Pauli and Foldy-Wouthysen）. In this paper, we show that the derivation of the spin and its magnetic moment can be done with a classical treatment. In this approach a modified Dirac equation was obtained which also eliminates the problem of the zitterbewegung.

Optimal Piling Network Corrosion Protection System for Al-Zubair Harbor

Cathodic protection is an effective electrochemical technique for preventing corrosion of metallic structures, for large structures like piles network impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) system is usually preferred. The main aim of this study is to obtain the optimum protection potential that would provide a full cathodic protection for steel piles net-work immersed in sea water at Al-Zubair harbor. The effect of one immeasurable factor (path of anode (χ1)) and two measurable factors (position of anode (χ2) and voltage of power supply (χ3)) on protection potential are studied. Each factor has three different levels (high, medium, and low). Twenty-seven experiments were conducted based on a full factorial design of experiments. The results show that, a sufficient protection for three cathodes can be provided through the electrical circuit connecting them within the appropriate geometric *** protection potential is icreased with increasing the voltage of power supply and decreasing of distance between the anode and cathodes (piles network).
