This paper proposes an efficient scheme to reduce the pre-correlation bandwidth effect in the global navigation satellite system(GNss)receiver filtering *** is mainly based on the application of a spectral transformation to the satellite-emitted signal that effectively reduces its *** the receiver's end,this operation causes the spreading of noise over a much wider band than that used by the radio frequency ***,the resulting auto-correlation function in the acquisition process acquires properties that enhance considerably the performance of the receiver in the presence of the multipath and noise disturbing *** simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method is a plausible solution for both multipath and noise problems in the GNss applications for any limited value of the pre-correlation bandwidth in the receiver filter.

Objective:To prepare various crude extracts using different polarities of solvent and to quantitatively evaluate their total phenol,flavonoids contents and phytochemical screening of Thymus vulgaris collected from al Jabal al Akhdar,*** of ***:The leave sample was extracted with methanol and *** it was defatted with water and extracted with different polarities organic solvents with increasing *** prepare hexane,chloroform,ethyl acetate,hutanol and methanol crude extracts were used for their evaluation of total phenol,flavonoids contents and phytochemical screening *** established conventional metliods were used for quantitative determination of total phenol,flavonoids contents and phytochemical ***:Phytochemical screening for various crude extracts were tested and shown positive result for flavonoids,saponins and steroids *** result for total phenol content was the highest in hutanol and the lowest in methanol crude extract whereas the total flavonoids contents was the highest in methanol and the lowest hexane crude ***:The crude extracts from locally grown Thymus vulgaris showed high concentration of flavonoids and it could be used as antibiotics for different curable and uncurable diseases.

Objective:To isolate and analyse the chemical composition in the essential oils and free radical scavenging activity of different crude extracts from the fresh and dry leaves of vegetable plants of Lactuca sativa L.(***).Methods:The essential oils and volatile chemical constituents were isolated from the fresh and dry leaves of ***(lettuce)grown in sultanate of Oman by hydro distillation *** antioxidant activity of the crude extracts was carried out by well established free radical scavenging activity(DPPH)***:About 20 chemical compounds of different concentration representing 83.07%and 79.88%respectively were isolated and identified by gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy in the essential oils isolated from the fresh and dry leaves asα-pinene(5.11%and 4.05%).γ-cymene(2.07%and 1.92%),thymol(11.55%and 10.73%),durenol(52.00%and 49.79%),α-terpinene(1.66%and 1.34%),thymol acetate(0.99%and 0.67%),caryophyllene(2.11%and 1.98%),spathulenol(3.09%and 2.98%).camphene(4.11%and3.65%),limonene(1.28%and 1.11%)representing these major chemical ***,some other minor chemical constituents were also isolated and identified from the essential oil of lettuce including p-pinene,α-terpinolene,linalool,4-terpineol,α-terpineol,o-methylthymol,L-alloaromadendrene and ***:The chemical consliluents in the essential oils from the locally grown lettuce were identified in the following classes or groups of chemical compounds such as monoterpenes,sesquiterpenes volatile organic compounds and their oxygenated ***,the essential oils and the crude extracts from Omani vegetable species of lettuce are active candidates which would be used as antioxidant,antifungal or antimicrobial agents in new drugs preparation for therapy of infectious diseases.

Pancreatic pseudocysts are the most common cystic lesions of the pancreas and may complicate acute pancreatitis, chronic pancreatitis, or pancreatic trauma. While the majority of acute pseudocysts resolve spontaneously, few may require drainage. On the other hand, pancreatic cystic tumors, which usually require extirpation, may disguise as pseudocysts. Hence, the distinction between the two entities is crucial for a successful outcome. We conducted this study to highlight the fundamental differences between pancreatic pseudocysts and cystic tumors so that relevant management plans can be devised. We reviewed the data of patients with pancreatic cystic lesions that underwent intervention between June 2007 and December 2010 in our hospital. We identified 9 patients(5 males and 4 females) with a median age of 40 years(range, 30–70 years). Five patients had pseudocysts, 2 had cystic tumors, and 2 had diseases of undetermined pathology. Pancreatic pseudocysts were treated by pseudocystogastrostomy in 2 cases and percutaneous drainage in 3 cases. One case recurred after percutaneous drainage and required pseudocystogastrostomy. The true pancreatic cysts were serous cystadenoma, which was treated by distal pancreatectomy, and mucinous cystadenocarcinoma, which was initially treated by drainage, like a pseudocyst, and then by distal pancreatectomy when its true nature was revealed. We conclude that every effort should be exerted to distinguish between pancreatic pseudocysts and cystic tumors of the pancreas to avoid the serious misjudgement of draining rather than extirpating a pancreatic cystic tumor. Additionally, percutaneous drainage of a pancreatic pseudocyst is a useful adjunct that may substitute for surgical drainage.

Vitamin A deficiency remains a severe global health issue,which creates a need to biofortify crops with provitamin A carotenoids(PACs).Expanding plant cell capacity for synthesis and storing of PACs outside the plastids is a promising biofortification strategy that has been little ***,we engineered PAC formation and sequestration in the cytosol of Nicotiana benthamiana leaves,Arabidopsis seeds,and citrus callus cells,using a fungal(Neurospora crassa)carotenoid pathway that consists of only three enzymes converting C5 isopentenyl building blocks formed from mevalonic acid into PACs,including β-*** strategy led to the accumulation of significant amounts of phytoene and γ-and β-carotene,in addition to fungal,health-promoting carotenes with 13 conjugated double bonds,such as the PAC torulene,in the *** the isopentenyl diphosphate pool by adding a truncated Arabidopsis hydroxymethylglutaryl-coenzyme A reductase substantially increased cytosolic carotene *** carotenes accumulate in cytosolic lipid droplets(CLDs),which represent a novel sequestering sink for storing these pigments in plant ***,β-carotene accumulated in the cytosol of citrus callus cells was more light stable compared to compared with plastidialβ-***,engineering cytosolic carotene formation increased the number of large-sized CLDs and the levels of β-apocarotenoids,including retinal,the aldehyde corresponding to vitamin ***,our study opens up the possibility of exploiting the high-flux mevalonic acid pathway for PAC biosynthesis and enhancing carotenoid sink capacity in green and non-green plant tissues,especially in lipid-storing seeds,and thus paves the way for further optimization of carotenoid biofortification in crops.
