Ovarian lesions are commonly encountered pathologies that cannot be categorized *** diagnosis is of great importance for therapeutic and prognostic *** gives accurate diagnosis in most *** cases need supportive tests like ***:to study the histomorphological diversity of ovarian lesions,their age and location in North of Iraq(Mosul and Duhok).Patients and methods:In the period extended from January 2008 to December 2011,161 cases of ovarian lesions were collected from pathology departments in Azadi General Hospital“Duhok”and Al-Jamhori Teaching Hospital“Mosul”.Automated tissue processor was used for histologic study and Streptavidin-biotin method on paraffin sections was applied for ***:There was a wide age range,most being in the third *** right ovaries were more common involved than the ***,58(36%)cases were non-neoplastic and 103 were neoplastic including 90(55.9%)benign and 9(5.6%)malignant *** remaining 4(2.4%)cases comprised borderline serous ***:Most ovarian lesions were functional non-neoplastic followed by benign *** from few cases,diagnosis was merely histological without any ancillary test.

Effects of time-dependent deformation（TDD） on a tunnel constructed using the micro-tunneling technique in Queenston shale（QS） are investigated employing the finite element method. The TDD and strength parameters of the QS were measured from tests conducted on QS specimens soaked in water and lubricant fluids（LFs） used in micro-tunneling such as bentonite and polymer solutions. The numerical model was verified using the results of TDD tests performed on QS samples, field measurements of some documented projects, and the closed-form solutions to circular tunnels in swelling rock. The verified model was then employed to conduct a parametric study considering important micro-tunneling design parameters, such as depth and diameter of the tunnel, in situ stress ratio（K;）, and the time lapse prior to replacing LFs with permanent cement grout around the tunnel. It was revealed that the time lapse plays a vital role in controlling deformations and associated stresses developed in the tunnel *** critical case of a pipe or tunnel in which the maximum tensile stress develops at its springline occurs when it is constructed at shallow depths in the QS layer. The results of the parametric study were used to suggest recommendations for the construction of tunnels in QS employing micro-tunneling.

The multistage triaxial compression test was mainly utilized in this research to investigate the degradation in the strength of swelling shale under different wetting *** samples were tested in four different conditions:(1)under their natural moisture content denoted as intact,and after soaking in,(2)water,(3)polymer solution,and(4)bentonite solution,*** experimental results showed that a considerable decrease in the shale’s strength was noted after soaking in water and the lubricant fluids(LFs).The polymer solution caused the least decrease in the strength compared to other *** envelopes of the tested shale were constructed for intact and soaked *** envelopes showed fair agreement between the single stage and the multistage triaxial compression test results,indicating suitability of the multistage triaxial compression test for the tested swelling shale.

To investigate the effects of leptin （1-20μg/kg） on acidified ethanol （AE）- and indomethacin （Indo）-induced gastric lesions in rats and compare it with ranitidine, lansoprazole, and omeprazole and to determine its mechanisms of ***： Gastric ulcers, which were approximately 1 mm in width, formed in the glandular portion of the gastric mucosa produced by oral administration of either AE or Indo were taken as ulcer index. The inhibitory effect of subcutaneous administration of leptin, two proton pump inhibitors （PPIs） lansoprazole and omeprazole, or H2-receptor antagonist ranitidine 30 min before AE or Indo was evaluated.A radioimmunoassay was used to determine the PGE2 concentration in the homogenate of the glandular portion of the stomach. We performed histological study of the glandular stomach for the evaluation of total, acidic, and sulfated mucus ***： Subcutaneous administration of leptin, two PPI slansoprazole and omeprazole or H2-receptor antagonist ranitidine 30 min before AE or Indo produced a dosedependent and reproducible inhibition of gastric ulcers （GUs）. This inhibition was found to be more potent than other antagonists used. In N^G-nitro L-arginine methyl ester （L-NAME）-pretreated animals, the ulcer prevention ability of leptin in AE-induced ulcer was significantly reduced,compared to rats without L-NAME pretreatment. However,the ulcer prevention ability of leptin was not altered by L-NAME treatment in Indo-induced ulcers. Leptin produced a dose-dependent increase in PGE2 level in the gastric glandular tissues. Leptin also increased mucus ***： The results of the present study show that leptin inhibits GU formation by AE or Indo in a dosedependent and reproducible manner in rats. The results also suggest that leptin prevents ulcer formation by increasing the activities of the cyclo-oxygenase and/or nitric oxide pathways and by increasing mucus secretion.

Objective: To focus on the analysis of chemical constituents of the Thymus vulgaris L.(locally known as "Zaitra" or "Za'atar"; Family: Lamiaceae) which is available in the market of Saudi ***: The Zaitra oil was analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. The mass spectra were compared with the standard spectra available in National Institute Standard and Technique ***: The results indicated that the Thymus oil is composed of many chemical compounds including a pinene, thymol and caryophyllene which are biologically active and also used in various ***: It can be concluded that the Thymus vulgaris due to presence of many bioactive compounds can be used as a new potential source of medicine for the treatment of various types of illness.

AIM： TO elucidate the age-distribution of anti-hepatitis A virus （HAY） seroprevalence across different socioeconomic status （SES） categories in Bangladesh which, despite scarce data, is generally deemed to have high endemicity. METHODS： Blood samples of 818 subjects from a stratified samp#e of schools and hospitals, comprising different age categories and SES were collected. They were assayed for total anti-HAV antibodies. Social and medical history data were obtained using a questionnaire. RESULTS： Overall anti-HAV seroprevalence was 69.6%, increasing with age from 1-5 years （40.4%） to 〉 30 years （98.4%）. Seroprevalence was lowest （49.8%） in the high SES group and highest （96.5%） in the rural lower-middle SES group. Among subjects aged 6-20 years, anti-HAV seroprevalence was lowest in urban private school children （43.0%）, followed by urban government school children （76.2%） and rural school children （96.5%）（P 〈 0.01）. Within the high SESgroup, anti-HAV seroprevalence was 32.3% in subjects 〈 10 years and 51.7% in those aged 11-20 years. Until now Bangladesh has been deemed to have high endemicity for HAV. CONCLUSION： The transition from high to intermediate HAV endemicity may be underway; high SES adolescents and adults remain particularly at risk of symptomatic illness. Preventive measures need consideration.

Purpose Due to the rapid expansion of the construction industries,cement production is ever-increasing worldwide and maintaining the qualities of the local cement became vital for safe and durable *** this regard,the radiometric assessment of cement plays a significant *** The specific activities of the naturally occurring radionuclides present in ten Portland cement samples that can cause possible health hazards were determined using a gamma-ray spectrometer equipped with(3×3)inch NaI(Tl)detector with 1024 *** and conclusion The measured activity concentrations of Ra-226,Th-232,and K-40 were found in the range of 12.38–55.75(average of 31.29 Bq/kg),6.29–57.54(average of 15.97 Bq/kg),and 112.63–266.37(average of 168.24 Bq/kg),*** recorded average activity concentration of these radionuclides in the cement was below the stipulated world standard by UNSCEAR(Sources and Effects of Ionizing Radiation,United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation UNSCEAR 2000 Report to the General Assembly,with Scientific Annexes,vol.I,2000).The obtained mean activity concentration of Raeq in the cement(67.101 Bq/kg)was much lower than the recommended guideline of 370 Bq/*** addition,the mean value of the calculated absorbed dose rate(59.947 nGy·h^(−1)),annual effective dose(0.220 mSv·y^(−1)),activity concentration index(0.240),alpha index(0.156),excess lifetime cancer risk(0.771×10^(−3))external(0.084)and internal(0.300)hazard index of the studied samples were much below the recommended safety *** is affirmed that the cement sold in the local market can safely be used for building constructions.

A brain tumor is a mass or growth of abnormal cells in the *** children and adults,brain tumor is considered one of the leading causes of *** are several types of brain tumors,including benign(non-cancerous)and malignant(cancerous)*** brain tumors as early as possible is essential,as this can improve the chances of successful treatment and *** this problem,we bring forth a hybrid intelligent deep learning technique that uses several pre-trained models(Resnet50,Vgg16,Vgg19,U-Net)and their integration for computer-aided detection and localization systems in brain *** pre-trained and integrated deep learning models have been used on the publicly available dataset from The Cancer Genome *** dataset consists of 120 *** pre-trained models have been used to classify tumor or no tumor images,while integrated models are applied to segment the tumor region *** have evaluated their performance in terms of loss,accuracy,intersection over union,Jaccard distance,dice coefficient,and dice coefficient *** pre-trained models,the U-Net model achieves higher performance than other models by obtaining 95%*** contrast,U-Net with ResNet-50 out-performs all other models from integrated pre-trained models and correctly classified and segmented the tumor region.

In this paper, we have focused on several relevant sensors [Laser (for speed measurements), Sonar (for space scanning) and RF (for access rights)] to cooperate in monitoring the security status of multiple dynamic agent in surveillance area. Such coordination is achieved by employing novel concepts of sensors similarity and complementarity. Furthermore, this system is aided with Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) in order to estimate the agent’s non-linear movement. Finally, transforms system state to be able to make a security suspiciousness decision by using type-2 fuzzy logic system to handle uncertainty. It is shown that the system performance can exhibit promising improvements for this dynamic security monitoring application.
