Using of GIS Spatial Analyses to Study the Selected Location for Dam Reservoir on Wadi Al-Jirnaf, West of Shirqat Area, Iraq

the GIS data of digital elevation model, topographic maps of different scales, satellite images and GPS were used to analyze the geometrical relations, bathometric properties and shape form of selected depressions on Al-Jirnaf valley. GIS was used to analyze the hydromorphometry and geometry of the depressions, these analyses explain the role of main valley’s contribution to the hydrology of the valley, then, three locations for water storage were suggested. 2D and 3D models of the sites were given, the maximum level, volume, surface area, circumference, shape factor of three supposed reservoirs calculated for different hypothetical levels of water in the reservoir, and the optimal level were determined, the maximum suggested levels are 190, 185 and 180 m, the areas are 3.25, 7.97 and 20.47 km2, the volumes are 0.0096, 0.0334 and 0.1118 km3 for the three locations respectively. this experimental procedure can be repeated in other depressions for the same purpose.

Objective: this study aimed to investigate the histopathological examination of the testicular biopsies in infertile males with azoospermia. the patients were referred to the Urology Department in Salah Alden Hospital. Methods: the present study was carried out from May 2017 until June 2018 and the number of the patients group was 60. the patients aged between 20 to 50 years. 20 of them were selected and subjected to histopathological examinations by taking biopsies from their testes. Results: the sertoli-cell-only syndrome (SCOS) was the most common positive histopathological finding comprising 35% of the cases. this was followed by testicular atrophy with 30%, while maturation arrest was 20%. the percentage of hypospermatogenesis was 10% and normal spermatogenesis was 5%. Conclusion: Among the 20 specimens examined, the sertoli-cell-only syndrome (SCOS) was the most common positive histopathological finding. the semen analysis and testicular biopsy provide valuable information about the etiology and the fertility potential of an individual.

Severe acute malnutrition with medical complications is one of the most common causes of morbidity and mortality among children under the age of 5 years. Which can be management by given therapeutic milk, it is available only at inpatient center at hospitals. When staff and mother managed adequately, the therapeutic milk has highly effective in treating severe malnutrition and prevent any complications that can be developing. So, this study aims to Assess of the Efficacy of Therapeutic milk in Prevention Complications of Severe acute malnutrition 6 - 59 months at therapeutic feeding center. Descriptive, Cross-Sectional, Hospital-based study design was used to conduct the study. The study was carried out at Organization of AL Thora public Hospital at Hodeida city in Yemen. Total coverage 200 children 6 - 59 months of age have Sever Acute Malnutrition with complication which was 14 medical complications and admitted at Therapeutics Feeding Center. Three research tools which used for data collection. The structured face to face Interview questionnaire, anthropometric measurements, and the Structure Observation Check list. The results showed that, the obvious reduction of complication when the Comparison at admission, 1st week and 2nd week are (40.9% to 18% to 7.6%). Objectives: the main objective of this study was to investigate the bacterial infections of seminal fluid in males with primary infertility. the patients were referred to and/or visiting the Urology Department in Salah Al-Deen teaching Hospital. Methods: the present study was carried out from May 2017 to June 2018 and the number of the patients group was 60. the patients aged between 20 to 50 years. Semen was collected from infertile men of a couple that female failed to become pregnant after one year of regular and unprotected intercourse of marriage and submitted for seminal fluid analysis for the bacteriological analyses. the control group consisted of 50 fertile male who were selected randomly from tikrit City during the period of this study. Semen culture was done for all the patients and the control group. Results: there were 30 patients who suffered from bacteriospermia and 16 of them (53.3%) were infected with gram positive organisms, while only 14 (46.7%) patients were infected with gram negative organisms. the most common organism was Staphylococcus aureus which was isolated from bacteriospermia. Escherichia coli, Enterococcus faecalis, Klebsiella pneumoniae, S. saprophyticus, Proteus mirabilis and Niesseria gonorrhoae were also isolated and the frequencies of isolation were 23.3% (7), 13.3% (4), 10.0% (3), 10.0% (3), 6.6% (2), and 6.6% (2) respectively. the present study showed many antibiotics were not active against gram positive bacteria isolated e.g. the resistance frequenciy to rifampcin, vancomycin and clindamycin was 48%, 44% and 40% respectively. Conclusions: the gram positive organisms were more prevalent than gram negative organisms in patients with bacteriospermia and the isolationfrequencies of two groups were 16 (53.3%) and 14 (46.7%) respectively. the most effective antimicrobial agents were amikacin, ciprofloxacin and levofloxacin and the least effective one was ceftazidime, whereas moxifloxacin, norfloxacin, gentamicin, azithromycin, moxif

Four locations were chosen according to geomorphologic and engineering criterion to store the water on the midstream of tharthar valley, water samples were collected from the four locations to evaluate the hydrochemical properties as indicator to select the more suitable location, these locations are Hatra, Abu-Hamam, tlol Al-Baj and Al-Sukkariah from the north to the south respectively. Also, the groundwater samples were collected from two shallow wells on the banks. the samples were analyzed to determine the concentrations of most common anions and cations in the water Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+, K+, CO32-, HCO3-, Cl–, SO42+. Also, pH, EC and tDS were measured. the results reflect high variations in concentrations of the soluble materials, the concentrations of these components are highly increased in locations of tlol Al-Baj and Al-Sukkariah in comparison with the locations of Hatra and Abu-Hamam. the variation in geology of the area along the valley was represented a main role on the quality of water. these results can help to select the suitable locations of small dam (dams) to store the water in the valley and prevent the problem of salinity. According to the results, the northern part of midstream (north of Abu-Hamam) is suitable for water storage and the dam construction. While the locations of the downstream enriched by local sources of salts.

the non-local means (NLM) denoising method replaces each pixel by the weighted average of pixels with the sur-rounding neighborhoods. In this paper we employ a cosine weighting function instead of the original exponential func-tion to improve the efficiency of the NLM denoising method. the cosine function outperforms in the high level noise more than low level noise. to increase the performance more in the low level noise we calculate the neighborhood si-milarity weights in a lower-dimensional subspace using singular value decomposition (SVD). Experimental compari-sons between the proposed modifications against the original NLM algorithm demonstrate its superior denoising per-formance in terms of peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) and histogram, using various test images corrupted by additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN).

A 58-year-old male patient with LAD diffuse had hyperlipidemia and hypertension. Preoperative angiography showed that he had triple-vessel disease with diffusely diseased LAD. In echocardiography, EF was detected as 60 % (52 - 70) and PAP 25 (12 - 25) mmHg and 2 degrees of tricuspid insufficiency. In this case report, we will present our LAD endarterectomy case. Surgical technique: after standard general anesthesia, cardiopulmonary bypass procedure and moderate hypothermia, cold cardioplegic arrest. Longitudinal long LAD endarterectomy was performed (approximately 10 cm long). A dissector was used to develop on the plane between media and atheroma. Gentle traction was made to light off the atheroplaque with the coronary artery branches, distal and proximal part of the LAD. We assumed that the distal part of the LAD was free from plaque. then we made the same procedure to the proximal part of the LAD. Luckily, we observed that proximal atheroplaque was also harvested. After completing the endarterectomy, antegrade cardioplegia was administrated to wash and any debris is LAD;also we tried the distal part of the LAD. Via retrograde cardioplegia administrated, we did also observe the bolus return of cardioplegia via retrograde way. After making the same coronary end arteriotomy was successful, we used saphenous vein as a patch for LAD reconstruction. We made only patch plasty like a carotid endarterectomy. Posto- perative follow-up period was 120 months. According to 8 years angiography result, LAD patch plasty was working relatively well. the patient did not have any complaints. We made coronary angiography 10 years after the operation and observed that our patch plasty was occluded but the patient has still class II symptoms with an EF value of 40%.

为降低文丘里施肥器的吸肥临界进口压力,使之适用于低压灌溉施肥系统,设计了一种双吸肥口文丘里施肥器。选取喉管收缩比、收缩段角度、扩散段角度和喉管长径比4个结构参数,采用正交试验设计方法,构建16种结构参数组合方案,运用CFD模拟技术对每种方案的吸肥性能进行模拟,以吸肥性能为评价指标确定最佳结构参数组合,并根据最佳结构参数组合试制文丘里施肥器原型样品,并在0~0.15 MPa进口压力范围内对其吸肥性能进行分析。结果表明,最佳结果参数为:喉管收缩比为0.3、收缩段角度为20?、扩散段角度为8°、喉管长径比为1.1。最佳结构文丘里施肥器试制样品实测结果与模拟分析结果一致,在相同进口压力下各个实测值均略小于模拟分析值,实测与模拟吸肥量、进口流量比、肥液浓度和吸肥效率的均方根误差分别为0.22 L/min、0.96%、0.93%和0.68%。在相同进口压力下,相比于相同结构参数的单吸肥口文丘里施肥器,模拟得出的吸肥量提高了90%,进口流量比提高了85%,肥液浓度提高了80%,吸肥效率提高了80%,表明双吸肥口施肥器的吸肥性能比单吸肥口施肥器有较大提高;双吸肥口施肥器实测临界进口压力为0.007 MPa,当进口压力为0.05 MPa时其吸肥浓度可达13.6%,与现有文丘里施肥器相比,在获得同等或更高的吸肥性能时具有更低的工作进口压力,更适用于低压滴灌系统。

the recognition and management of risk in donation process and blood product is critical to ensure donor and patient safety. to achieve this goal, the failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) is a convenient method;moreover it was used to prevent the occurrence of adverse events and look at what could go strong at each step. this study aimed to utilize FMEA in central blood bank in Khartoum to evaluate the potential risk and adverse event that may occur during the donation process. According to the severity, occurrence and the detection of each failure mode, the risk priority number (RPN) was calculated to determine which of the failures should take priority to find a solution and applying corrective action to reduce the failure risk. the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) version 11 was used as descriptive and analytical statistics tool. the FMEA technique provides a systematic method for finding vulnerabilities in a process before they result in an error, and in this study a satisfactory outcome was reached.
