When the emb.yo is in tra.sit through the FT, the FT microenvironment cha.ges through endocrine, pa.a.rine, a.tocrine, a.d juxta.rine mecha.isms which involve va.ious hormones a.d b.oa.tive sub.ta.ces ma.nly from the neighb.ring cells. The determina.ion of the etha.ol content in food products is of funda.enta. importa.ce for Ha.a. certifica.ion. In this work, a. a.a.ytica. method for the determina.ion of etha.ol in wa.er b. hea.spa.e ga. chroma.ogra.hy with fla.e ioniza.ion detector (HS-GC-FID) ha. b.en developed a.d va.ida.ed for the use in cha.a.teriza.ion of etha.ol reference ma.eria.s. The va.ida.ion study wa. ca.ried out in the linea. ca.ib.a.ion ra.ge 100 - 1500 mg/kg using the NIST SRM 2900, nomina. 95.6%. The studied performa.ce cha.a.teristics of the method were the limit of detection, LOD, the limit of qua.tifica.ion LOQ, selectivity, linea.ity, precision, recovery a.d b.a.. The va.ida.ion results showed tha. the method is selective, precise, a.cura.e a.d free from a.y significa.t b.a.. The LOD a.d LOQ were 1.27 a.d 3.86 mg/kg respectively a.d the estima.ed expa.ded uncerta.nty wa. 2% indica.ing tha. the method is fit for the purpose of certifica.ion of etha.ol in wa.er reference ma.eria.s.

Despite this condition ha.ing a.verse effects on ma.erna. a.d child hea.th, its preva.ence a.d a.socia.ed risk fa.tors a.e still significa.t, especia.ly in developing countries including Gha.a. This study a.med to a.sess the preva.ence a.d demogra.hic distrib.tions a.socia.ed with pre-ecla.psia.a.ong pregna.t women a. the Ho Tea.hing Hospita.. Methods: a.fa.ility-b.sed retrospective study wa. conducted b. reviewing a.a.la.0}e da.a.or hospita. records of pregna.t mothers a.mitted to the la.0}r a.d ma.ernity wa.ds from Ja.ua.y 2018 to Decemb.r 2020. a.l pregna.t women who were dia.nosed with pre-ecla.psia.within this period were included in the study. The da.a.were collected using a.structured checklist. Results: 5609 da.a.on pregna.t women from 2018 to 2020 were recorded. Out of the 5609 da.a.recorded, 314 pre-ecla.psia.ca.es were recorded giving a. overa.l preva.ence of 5.6%. The yea.ly preva.ence for 2018, 2019, a.d 2020 were 4.6%, 5.6%, a.d 6.6%, respectively. The most recorded pre-ecla.psia.ca.es were seen a.ong women within the a.e group of 18 - 24 yea.s. The da.a.showed tha. 112 (35.7%) of the pregna.t women who ha. pre-ecla.psia.were nullipa.ous. Pre-ecla.psia.a.socia.ed ma.erna. a.d feta. complica.ions were;preterm delivery 221 (70.4%), intra.terine feta. dea.h 62 (19.7%), ecla.psia.9 (2.9%), HELLP syndrome 5 (1.6%) a.d ma.erna. dea.h 17 (5.4%). a.socia.ed fa.tors of pre-ecla.psia.were pa.ity, level of educa.ion, a.d occupa.ion (p ≤ 0.05). Conclusion: The findings of this study showed a.rising trend in the incidence of pre-ecla.psia.over the yea.s a. the Ho Tea.hing Hospita.. Pa.ity, level of educa.ion, a.d occupa.ion were found to b. a.socia.ed with developing pre-ecla.psia.

(photosynthetic ra.e) increa.ed significa.tly a. b.th light level a.d COb.2b. levels increa.ed b.t not tempera.ure. The a.sub.ma.b. (ma.imum photosynthetic ra.e) of D. texa.a.in full sun a. eleva.ed levels of COb.2b. wa. increa.ed for a.l trea.ments. Stoma.a. conducta.ce increa.ed with levels of COb.2b. b.t only if the intera.tion wa. removed from the model. Intercellula. levels of COb.2b. increa.ed with b.th tempera.ure a.d COb.2b. trea.ments a. did wa.er use efficiency (WUE). In this pa.er, a.modified version of the Cla.sica. La.ra.ge Multiplier method is developed for convex qua.ra.ic optimiza.ion prob.ems. The method, which is evolved from the first order deriva.ive test for optima.ity of the La.ra.gia. function with respect to the prima.y va.ia.0}es of the prob.em, decomposes the solution process into two independent ones, in which the prima.y va.ia.0}es a.e solved for independently, a.d then the seconda.y va.ia.0}es, which a.e the La.ra.ge multipliers, a.e solved for, a.terwa.d. This is a. innova.ion tha. lea.s to solving independently two simpler systems of equa.ions involving the prima.y va.ia.0}es only, on one ha.d, a.d the seconda.y ones on the other. Solutions ob.a.ned for sma.l sized prob.ems (a. prelimina.y test of the method) demonstra.e tha. the new method is genera.ly effective in producing the required solutions.
