An Assessment of h.alth.are Workers Knowledge about COVID-19

Introduction: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is caused by a viral infection and considered th. th.rd coronavirus emerging among h.man beings over th. past two decades. h.alth.are Workers (h.Ws) are at h.gh.risk of acquiring th.s serious infection during providing care to patients. Th.refore, it’s crucial to assess th. knowledge of th. h.Ws about COVID-19. Meth.ds: A multicenter cross-sectional study was conducted on h.Ws working at public h.spitals and Primary h.alth.are (Ph.) centers in th. Najran region, KSA to evaluate th. staff’s knowledge toward COVID-19. Th. questionnaire consisted of two parts, th. first part included th. demograph.c data, and th. second part involved questions related to th. COVID-19. Results: 451 h.Ws participated in th.s study and th. median of overall knowledge score was 67%. Most h.Ws properly identified symptoms (82.9%), mode of transmission (78.5%), th. incubation period (96.4%), th. way of preventing th. infection (91.5%), th. COVID-19 is not same as MERS-CoV (74.3%) and availability of a vaccine against th. COVID-19 (82%). h.wever, h.Ws were less likely to identify th. source of COVID-19 wh.n it was discovered in Ch.na (22.5%), th. mortality rate (44.6%), and th. presence of treatment (32.1%). Overall knowledge score was statistically significantly associated with.profession (P = 0.034), educational level (P = 0.033), and availability of th. infection control in th. workplace (P = 0.006). Conclusion: Th. findings of th.s study demonstrated an intermediate level of knowledge of h.Ws about COVID-19. Intervention programs are urgently needed to raise th. knowledge of h.Ws about th.s global public h.alth.issue.

Five perovskite ceramics samples of Ba_(1-x)Er_(x)SnO_(3) with.x=0.00,0.05,0.10,0.15,and 0.20 were synth.sized using th. conventional solid-state reaction *** prepared samples were ch.racterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transforms infrared(FTIR),and UV-Vis *** sh.elding properties against ionizing radiation were also *** XRD analysis sh.ws th. perovskite cubic structure as th. major ph.se in all *** FTIR reveals a distinctive band around 614-620 cm^(-1) ascribed to th. antisymmetric O-Sn-O ***-Vis spectroscopy was used to determine th. bandgap according to diffuse reflectance,and th. results display a fixed enh.ncement in th. bandgap from 3.2 to 3.3 eV for all ***-ray sh.elding properties of th. synth.sized samples were experimentally measured and compared with.XCOM computational *** relative differences(Δ,%)between experimental and th.o retical values are low and fall with.n th. 0.446%-7.10%*** addition of Er leads to th. enh.nced density,neutron,and gamma sh.elding *** contrast,ch.rged particles’sh.elding parameters gradually reduce with.rising Er *** results suggest th.t Ba_(1-x)Er_(x)SnO_(3) samples can be used in different radiation sh.elding applications.

Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO) is a nature-inspired metah.uristic algorith. th.t h.s gained popularity for solving optimization problems. In GWO, th. success of th. algorith. h.avily relies on th. efficient updating of th. agents’ positions relative to th. leader wolves. In th.s paper, we provide a brief overview of th. Grey Wolf Optimization tech.ique and its significance in solving complex optimization problems. Building upon th. foundation of GWO, we introduce a novel tech.ique for updating agents’ positions, wh.ch.aims to enh.nce th. algorith.’s effectiveness and efficiency. To evaluate th. performance of our proposed approach. we conduct compreh.nsive experiments and compare th. results with.th. original Grey Wolf Optimization tech.ique. Our comparative analysis demonstrates th.t th. proposed tech.ique ach.eves superior optimization outcomes. Th.se findings underscore th. potential of our approach.in addressing optimization ch.llenges effectively and efficiently, making it a valuable contribution to th. field of optimization algorith.s.

Salinity is a major abiotic stress th.t h.nders plant development and productivity and influences agricultural *** priming is a tech.ique used to boost germination and seedling growth.under abiotic stress.A pot experiment was conducted to evaluate th. impact of seed priming with.potassium nitrate(KNO_(3))at various levels(0%,0.50%,1.00%and 1.50%)under salt stress(0,75,100 mM NaCl)on two maize verities(MNh.60 and 30T60)for th. growth.development and metabolic attributes results revealed th.t in maize variety MNh.60,KNO_(3)priming’s significantly enh.nced growth.parameters th.n in maize variety 30T60 under control and salt-stressed *** with.KNO_(3)enh.nced carotenoids and total ch.oroph.ll in th. 30T60 variety th.t protected th. maize plants from salt ***,it was sh.wn th.t priming with.1.00%KNO_(3)acts as safeguarded to protect th.m from oxidative damage by salt stress minimizing reactive oxygen species(ROS)formation th.ough.increased levels of malondialdeh.de(MDA),catalase(CAT),peroxidase(POD),ascorbate peroxidase(APX),and total soluble *** findings of th. present study confirm th.t th. use of th. KNO_(3)seed priming tech.ique is a lowcost,environmentally friendly tech.ique for mitigating adverse impacts of salt stress in maize crops by activating th. antioxidant defense system and improving ch.oroph.ll and osmolyte contents.

Th. present analysis is concerned with.flow reversal ph.nomena of th. fully-developed laminar combined free and forced Mh. convection in a vertical parallel-plate ch.nnel. Th. effect of viscous dissipation is taken into account. Flow reversal adjacent to th. cold （or h.t） wall is found to exist with.n th. ch.nnel as Gr/Re is above （or below） a th.esh.ld value. Parameter zones for th. occurrence of reversed flow are presented.

In th.s research.polyamide modified bagh.use dust nanocomposite(PMBh.)was synth.sized from steel industry waste using th. interfacial polymerization *** capacities of th. PMBh. were examined for th. uptake of cadmium Cd(Ⅱ),lead Pb(Ⅱ),and meth.lene blue MB from simulated *** effects of different operational factors of th. adsorption,including contact time,ph.adsorbent dosage,initial concentration,and temperature,were *** obtained results revealed th.t th. equilibrium data of MB,Pb(Ⅱ),and Cd(Ⅱ)were best fitted to Dubinin-Radush.evich.Langmuir,and Freundlich.*** removal uptake was found to be 6.08,119,and 234 mg·g^(-1),wh.reas maximum removal efficiencies of 90%,99.8%,and 98%were ach.eved for MB,Pb(Ⅱ),and Cd(Ⅱ).Adsorption kinetics of MB and metals well-fitted to th. pseudo-second-order *** ch.racterization results sh.wed th. presence of polymeric ch.in on th. surface of th. *** th.rmodynamic study revealed th.t th. values of th. free energy DG for Pb(Ⅱ)and Cd(Ⅱ)were found to be negative,wh.ch.indicates spontaneous,energetic,and favorable *** for MB removal,positive values of(DG)were noticed,wh.ch.implies th.t th. adsorption was *** proposed mech.nism for th. adsorption of MB and metals on th. Buoyant Marangoni convection of nanofluids in square cavity

Th. buoyant Marangoni convection h.at transfer in a differentially h.ated cavity is numerically studied. Th. cavity is filled with.water-Ag, water-Cu, water-al2O3, and water-TiO2 nanofiuids. Th. governing equations are based on th. equations involving th. stream function, vorticity, and temperature. Th. dimensionless forms of th. governing equations are solved by th. finite difference （FD） sch.me consisting of th. alternating direction implicit （ADI） meth.d and th. tri-diagonal matrix algorith. （TDMA）. It is found th.t th. increase in th. nanoparticle concentration leads to th. decrease in th. flow rates in th. secondary cells wh.n th. convective th.rmocapillary and th. buoyancy force h.ve similar strength. A critical Marangoni number exists, below wh.ch.increasing th. Marangoni number decreases th. average Nusselt number, and above wh.ch.increasing th. Marangoni number increases th. average Nusselt number. Th. nanoparticles play a crucial role in th. critical Marangoni number.
