Com.arison of Treatm.nt Efficacy of different Num.er of Botulinum.Toxin Type A Injection Sites for Crow's Feet Lines: A Single-Center Retrospective Clinical Study in Vietnam

Objective: Botulinum.toxin type A is frequently used to treat crow's feet lines. However, the optim.l dose and injection sites are still controversial. The objective of this study was to com.are the efficacy of different botulinum.toxin type A injection patterns for the treatm.nt of crow's feet. m.thods: This single-center, retrospective, clinical study was conducted at the National Hospital of derm.tology and Venereology from.July 2020 to decem.er 2020. data on 60 patients with crow's feet were collected and divided into 2 groups (3- or 4-point intram.scular injection) according to the intram.scular injection technique the patients received. The treatm.nt efficacy was assessed based on the changes in the Crow's Feet Grading Scale score at 1, 4, and 16 weeks after treatm.nt. Repeated m.asures analysis of variance was used for the assessm.nt of changes in scores over tim. between the two groups. Results: After treatm.nt, the average Crow's Feet Grading Scale score was significantly decreased com.ared with the pretreatm.nt score at all tim.points (1, 4, and 16 weeks) in both states (dynam.c: For 3-point intram.scular injection technique, 1 week: 1.90 ± 0.71 vs. 2.97 ± 0.56; 4 weeks: 1.87 ± 0.68 vs. 2.97 ± 0.56; 16 weeks: 2.60 ± 0.67 vs. 2.97 ± 0.56. For 4-point intram.scular injection technique, 1 week: 1.73 ± 0.83 vs. 3.03 ± 0.49; 4 weeks: 1.73 ± 0.74 vs. 3.03 ± 0.49; 16 weeks: 2.57 ± 0.68 vs. 3.03 ± 0.49, all P d static: For 3-point intram.scular injection technique, 1 week: 1.20 ± 0.89 vs. 2.20 ± 0.85; 4 weeks: 1.20 ± 0.89 vs. 2.20 ± 0.85; 16 weeks: 1.87 ± 0.97 vs. 2.20 ± 0.85; For 4-point intram.scular injection technique, 1 week: 1.50 ± 0.86 vs. 2.30 ± 0.84; 4 weeks: 1.33 ± 0.84 vs. 2.30 ± 0.84; 16 weeks: 1.87 ± 0.97 vs. 2.30 ± 0.84. Forecasting of tropical cyclones ASANI (2022) and m.CHA (2023) over the Bay of Bengal - real tim. challenges to forecasters

This study exam.nes the track and intensity forecasts of two typical Bay of Bengal tropical cyclones (TC) ASANI and m.CHA. The analysis of various Num.rical Weather Prediction (NWP) m.del forecasts [ECm.F (European Centre for m.dium.range Weather Forecast), NCEP (National Centers for Environm.ntal Prediction), NCUm.(National Centre for m.dium.Range Weather Forecast-Unified m.del), Im. (India m.teorological departm.nt), HWRF (Hurricane Weather Research and Forecasting)], m.E (m.lti-m.del Ensem.le), SCIP (Statistical Cyclone Intensity Prediction) m.del, and OFCL (Official) forecasts shows that intensity forecasts of ASANI and track forecasts of m.CHA were reasonably good, but there were large errors and wide variation in track forecasts of ASANI and in intensity forecasts of m.CHA. Am.ng all m.del forecasts, the track forecast errors of Im. m.del and m.E were least in general for ASANI and m.CHA respectively. Also, the landfall point forecast errors of Im. were least for ASANI, and the m.E and OFCL forecast errors were least for m.CHA. No m.del is found to be consistently better for landfall tim. forecast for ASANI, and the errors of ECm.F, Im. and HWRF were least and of sam. order for m.CHA. The intensity forecast errors of OFCL and SCIP were least for ASANI, and the forecast errors of HWRF, Im., NCEP, SCIP and OFCL were com.arable and least for m.CHA up to 48 h forecast and HWRF errors were least thereafter in general. The ECm.F m.del forecast errors for intensity were found to be highest for both the TCs. The results also show that although there is significant im.rovem.nt of track forecasts and lim.ted or no im.rovem.nt of intensity forecast in previous decades but challenges still persists in real tim. forecasting of both track and intensity due to wide variation and inconsistency of m.del forecasts for different TC cases. Tilted global solar irradiance in Bahrain: an experim.ntal study

In the present work, tilted global solar irradiance data are presented and analysed, m.asured for a period of 1 year on the cam.us of Bahrain Polytechnic, Kingdom.of Bahrain, from.both a fixed photovoltaic panel and a m.ving one via a two-axis solar tracker. The fixed panel faces south with an angle of 26 degrees with respect to the horizontal, coinciding with the local geographical latitude. The second panel is m.ved by two m.tors, controlled by a global positioning system.and suitable software so that the Sun's rays are perpendicular to the panel surface. A pyranom.ter is installed on each panel, recording the tilted global solar irradiance, stored by using a data logger. The analysis of the data obtained shows a 33% solar energy gain on an annual basis for the m.ving panel (2780 versus 2088 kWh/m. on the fixed panel). m.re im.ortantly, in June, when the energy dem.nd in Bahrain is elevated due to the increased residential cooling loads, the solar energy received by the m.ving panel is 54.7% higher com.ared with that of the fixed panel. On a percentage basis, the increase in solar energy from.the m.ving panel is profound in the early m.rning and late evening hours. m.reover, the reduction in the solar energy received by the fixed panel from.m.y to June does not appear in the m.ving panel because of the adjustable orientation of the latter. Throughout the year, the m.an daily solar power varies between 0.37 and 0.56 kW/m. for the fixed panel, and 0.45 and 0.70 kW/m. for the m.ving panel. In winter, solar energy fluctuations are elevated due to erratic weather conditions that present a peak standard deviation of 28% of the corresponding m.an. The data presented are useful for potential solar investm.nts in Gulf countries. Tilted global solar irradiance data are m.asured and analysed for a period of 1 year on the cam.us of Bahrain Polytechnic, Kingdom.of Bahrain, from.both a fixed photovoltaic panel and a m.ving one via a two-axis solar tracker. Num.rical calculation of Z-scan m.asurem.nts for nonlinear m.dia with large phase shift

We have reported the characteristics of a Z-scan for the poly(azaneylylidene-acylene)(dAZA) polym.r, as nonlinear m.dium.with a large nonlinear phase shift using continuous-wave(CW) laser beam. It has been verified that the Fresnel diffraction m.del is applicable for analyses of Z-scan m.asurem.nts with dAZA polym.r at high laser power. It was found that Z-scan curves with peak-to-valley features appear as the applied light intensity increases in the case of a large nonlinear phase shift. The Z-scan experim.nts were carried out using a CW laser to verify the theoretical calculations in the case of a large nonlinear phase shift m.del. Our results show good agreem.nts between the experim.ntal data and the proposed theoretical m.dels.

Spinel cubic ferrites have huge applications in m. m.ry and high frequency *** the im.rovem.nt of these m.dern devices,the m.gnetic coercivity,perm.ability,and dielectric properties of a ferrite are the im.ortant *** article focuses on im.roving the m.gnetic coercivity,m.gnetic perm.ability,and dielectric properties of Co_(0.2)Zn_(0.3)Ni_(0.5)Eu_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4) ferrites,where x=0.00,0.06,and *** X-ray diffraction(XRd),Fourier transform.infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),field em.ssion scanning electron m.croscopy(FESEm.,energy dispersive X-ray(EdX),vibrating sam.le m.gnetom.ter(VSm.,and an im.edance analyzer were used to characterize the structural,m.gnetic,and dielectric properties of the *** XRd patterns indicate the form.tion of spinel cubic structure of the sam.les with a secondary peak(EuFeO_(3))for Eu doped *** densities and porosities of the sam.les follow an inverse trend,where the doped sam.les’lattice param.ters are increased with the increm.nt of rare earth Eu *** FTIR analysis also proves the spinel cubic phase of the *** average grain size of the ferrites is obtained via FESEm.im.ges,and it is increased from.121 to 198 *** analysis confirm. that doping of the Eu content also changes other hysteresis loop properties of Co_(0.2)Zn_(0.3)Ni_(0.5)Eu_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4) ***,the coercivity of the Eu doped sam.les is greater than that of the m.ther alloy(x=0.00).The EdX study shows that there is no im.urity contam.nation in the *** perm.ability and dielectric m.asurem.nts show an im.roved quality factor of the Eu-doped sam.les with low m.gnetic and dielectric *** dependent resistivity and im.edance analysis also show the im.roved *** the observed properties of the sam.les,all the investigated ferrites m.ght be strong candidates for potential applications in m.m.ry devices,m.gnetic sensors,and high frequency applications.

Single atom.Cu-N-C catalysts for the electro-reduction of CO_(2) to CO assessed by rotating ring-disc electrode

The electrochem.cal CO_(2) reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR) to controllable chem.cals is considered as a prom.sing pathway to store interm.ttent renewable energy. Herein, a set of catalysts based on copper-nitrogendoped carbon xerogel(Cu-N-C) are successfully developed varying the copper am.unt and the nature of the copper precursor, for the efficient CO_(2)RR. The electrocatalytic perform.nce of Cu-N-C m.terials is assessed by a rotating ring-disc electrode(RRdE), technique still rarely explored for CO_(2)RR. For com.arison, products are also characterized by online gas chrom.tography in a H-cell. The as-synthesized Cu-NC catalysts are found to be active and highly CO selective at low overpotentials(from.-0.6 to -0.8 V ***) in 0.1 m.KHCO_(3), while H_(2) from.the com.etitive water reduction appears at larger overpotentials(-0.9 V vs. RHE). The optim.m.copper acetate-derived catalyst containing Cu-N_(4) m.ieties exhibits a CO_(2)-to-CO turnover frequency of 997 h^(-1) at -0.9 V vs. RHE with a H_(2)/CO ratio of 1.8. These results dem.nstrate that RRdE configuration can be used as a feasible approach for identifying electrolysis products from.CO_(2)RR.

Study of boundary layer characteristics during the landfalling of a Nisarga cyclone

One of the m.st im.ortant param.ters in m.teorology is the m.an wind pro fi le in the tropical cyclone boundary layer. The vertical pro fi le of wind speed and wind direction were m.asured during the period of the Nisarga cyclone from.m.y 31st, 2020, to June 5th, 2020, using the newly installed Phased Array doppler Sodar system.at the Center for Space and Atm.spheric Science (CSAS), Sanjay Ghodawat University, Kolhapur (16.74 degrees N, 74.37 degrees E; near India ' s western coast). Our analysis revealed that the m.xim.m.m.an wind speed was 17 m.s on June 3, 2020, at 10:00 IST. It also shows the change in wind direction from.southwest to southeast on June 2 and 3, 2020. daily high-resolution reanalysis data in the dom.in, 0 - 25 degrees N, 65 - 110 degrees E, during the period from.m.y 31st to June 5th, 2020, revealed the variation of the atm.spheric pressure of the Nisarga cyclone from.1000 to 1008 hPa, sea surface tem.erature (SST) between 30 degrees C and 31 degrees C, outgoing longwave radiation (OLR) between 100 and 240 Wm.2 , wind speed between 3 and 15 m.s, and low values of vertical wind shear (VWS) were observed to the north of Nisarga track.
