This article introduces a novel variant of the generalized linear exponential(GLE)distribution,known as the sine generalized linear exponential(SGLE)*** SGLE distribution utilizes the sine transformation to enhance its *** updated distribution is very adaptable and may be efficiently used in the modeling of survival data and dependability *** suggested model incorporates a hazard rate function(HRF)that may display a rising,J-shaped,or bathtub form,depending on its unique *** model includes many well-known lifespan distributions as separate *** suggested model is accompanied with a range of statistical *** model parameters are examined using the techniques of maximum likelihood and Bayesian estimation using progressively censored *** order to evaluate the effectiveness of these techniques,we provide a set of simulated data for testing *** relevance of the newly presented model is shown via two real-world dataset applications,highlighting its superiority over other respected similar models.

Due to their thermal performance,domed roofs are one of the passive solutions that affect energy consumption in *** thermal performance of domed roofs has been investigated in many naturally ventilated ***,few studies have discussed their performance in conditioned ***,this study introduces a computational comparison between domed and flat roofs to investigate their impact on thermal comfort inside a conditioned *** an earlier stage,field measurements were carried out inside a Bahraini mosque to acquire its indoor air conditions during the summer period of 2021,in addition to validating the computational *** findings of this study confirm that,under mechanical cooling conditions,the flat roof offers a lower indoor temperature than the domed roof by 0.4℃and 0.1℃for open and closed doors,***,the air velocity is lower by approximately 0.01 m/s for both door *** overall PMV values of the flat roof are also lower by 0.07 and 0.01,while the PPD values are lower by 0.20,and 0.34 for open and closed doors,*** on these small differences,it can be concluded that the thermal performance of both roofing systems behaves equally in conditioned ***,the air patterns are substantially different,the overall thermal performance is *** similarity drives building designers to rethink the thermal performance of the domed roofs in air-conditioned spaces with such a hot climate,regardless of their aesthetic and acoustical behaviour.

Background: Early marriage is prevalent in Middle Eastern culture. The objective of this study was to investigate the pregnancy outcomes of married pregnant adolescents in a prosperous and highly developed Middle Eastern society, when they receive sufficient prenatal care and social assistance. Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on the Peristat-based Maternal-Newborn registry utilizing hospital data acquired from four main governmental hospitals in Qatar. The study analyzed the pregnancy outcomes of young adults [ages 20 - 24) who experienced their first pregnancy and compared them to the pregnancy outcomes of adolescents aged 15 to 19 years old. Results: The study comprised a cohort of 3152 pregnant married women. This cohort included 2674 women between the ages of 20 and 24, as well as 478 adolescents aged 15 to 19 years old. In comparison to the young adult group, the non-Qatari population in the adolescent group was significantly higher (78.6% (376/478) vs. 71.5% (1914/2674), p-value = 0.003). Other Arab nationalities accounted for more than half of the adolescent population. All the mothers were married, did not use alcohol, and were nonsmokers. There were no documented mothers under the age of 15. Attending antenatal clinics was significantly higher in the adolescent group (p < 0.001). There was no significant difference in the mean gestational age at birth between adolescents and young adults (38.5 ± 2.3 weeks vs. 38.7 ± 2.1 weeks, p = 0.06). Furthermore, adolescent mothers had a higher rate of low birth weight (13.6% vs. 10.4%, p < 0.001) than young mothers. There was a non-statistically significant rise in pre-eclampsia incidence. Other unfavorable pregnancy outcomes were less common among them, such as diabetes, operative vaginal delivery, caesarean section, stillbirth, NICU hospitalization, and an Apgar score of less than 7 at five minutes. There were no maternal deaths;however, there was a comparable rate of neonatal in-hospital mortality. C

Endoscopic Assisted Eyebrow Craniotomy for Anterior Cranial Fossa Lesions: Clinical and Cosmetic Outcomes

Background: The eyebrow supraorbital keyhole approach could be considered a modified minimally invasive model for the classic pterional subfrontal approach in which an eyebrow incision and supraorbital mini craniotomy are performed for exposure of the anterior cranial fossa corridor. Methods: This study was retrospectively conducted on twenty four patients, age ranging from 20 to 65 years old, with anterior cranial fossa lesions who were meeting the eligibility criteria for eyebrow craniotomy in the period from August 2019 to January 2023. These patients were operated through eyebrow supraorbital approach in which microscopic endoscopic assisted technique were used. Extent of resection, clinical and cosmetic outcomes and complication incidence were assessed. Results: We included the twenty four patients who met inclusion criteria (17 females and 7 males) their ages ranged from 20 to 65 years. The most common pathology was meningioma in 19 patients. Two patients experienced supraorbital loss of sensation and only one patient experienced palsy of frontalis branch of facial nerve. Frontal sinus was breached in 3 patients with no patient experienced postoperative CSF leak. Total excision was accomplished for 23 patients. Four patients who had preoperative visual compromise, improvement of visual acuity and field defects was observed in 3 patients. No major intraoperative complications occurred. All patients filled cosmetic satisfaction questionnaire during their outpatient visits. For the eyebrow supraorbital approach, no incision related intolerable pain, no craniotomy defects or irregularities, no cosmetic complaints nor limitation of jaw opening were reported, and only minor symptoms in the form of limited eyebrow elevation, swelling and numbness in the forehead. Conclusions: The eyebrow craniotomy could be used safely as a more cosmetic and minimally invasive approach for a variety of anterior cranial fossa lesions. This article examines the influence of seawater temperature and total dissolved solids (TDS) on reverse osmosis (RO) desalination in the Arabian Gulf region, with a focus on the impact of climate change. The study highlights the changes in seawater temperature and TDS levels over the years and discusses their effects on the efficiency and productivity of RO desalination plants. It emphasizes the importance of monitoring TDS levels and controlling seawater temperature to optimize water production. The article also suggests various solutions, including intensive pre-treatment, development of high-performance membranes, exploration of alternative water sources, and regulation of discharges into the Gulf, to ensure sustainable water supply in the face of rising TDS levels and seawater temperature. Further research and comprehensive monitoring are recommended to understand the implications of these findings and develop effective strategies for the management of marine resources in the Arabian Gulf.

BACKGROUND Glaucoma is caused by increased intraocular pressure(IOP)that damages the optic nerve,leading to *** Ahmed glaucoma valve(AGV)is a glau-coma drainage implant device that is used in glaucoma patients with uncontrolled IOP.A possible complication after any ocular surgery however is hyphema,which can itself progress to uveitis glaucoma hyphema(UGH)syndrome on rare *** syndrome has not yet been reported as a complication of AGV *** SUMMARY Here,we have reported a case of a 55-year-old female who developed both hyphema and pigmentation as a result of AGV *** confirmed UGH syndrome secondary to AGV implantation after the patient underwent another surgery to shorten and reposition the AGV *** the second surgery,the patient’s IOP was reduced,and she had a clear cornea and no signs of *** This first report of UGH syndrome as a complication of AGV implantation reminds clinicians that frequent follow-up is paramount.
