Due to latest advancements in the field of remote sensing,it becomes easier to acquire high quality images by the use of various satellites along with the sensing *** the massive quantity of data poses a challenging issue to store and effectively transmit the remote sensing ***,image compression techniques can be utilized to process remote sensing *** this aspect,vector quantization(VQ)can be employed for image compression and the widely applied VQ approach is Linde–Buzo–Gray(LBG)which creates a local optimum codebook for image *** process of constructing the codebook can be treated as the optimization issue and the metaheuristic algorithms can be utilized for resolving *** this motivation,this article presents an intelligent satin bowerbird optimizer based compression technique(ISBO-CT)for remote sensing *** goal of the ISBO-CT technique is to proficiently compress the remote sensing images by the effective design of ***,the ISBO-CT technique makes use of satin bowerbird optimizer(SBO)with LBG approach is *** design of SBO algorithm for remote sensing image compression depicts the novelty of the *** showcase the enhanced efficiency of ISBO-CT approach,an extensive range of simulations were applied and the outcomes reported the optimum performance of ISBO-CT technique related to the recent state of art image compression approaches.

Simulation of perforated rectangular cantilever immunosensor for estimation of bacterial pathogens

Micro fabricated and multilayered perforated cantilever beam immunosensor was modeled using CoventorWare for the estimation of bacterial antigens of Bacillus Anthrax, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Coryne Bacterium Diptheria and Treponema pallidum. A rectangular cantilever beam with perforations was simulated with dimensions as length-200 μm, width-10 μm and thickness-0.5 μm. Each perforation is rectangular with length-10 μm, width-5 μm and thickness-0.5 μm. The theoretical and FEM simulations were carried out with five immunoglobulin antibodies, IgA, IgD, IgE, IgG and IgM for the estimation of bacterial antigens. The effect of perforation in cantilever beam and molecular size of antibody and antigen on the performance of the sensor has been studied. The cantilever beam without perforation showed a deflection of 1.8 e + 02 μm whereas the cantilever beam with perforation showed an increase deflection of 1.9 e + 02 μm. With IgG, the difference between analytical and simulation values is positive and low especially with low molecular weight antigens Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Treponema pallidum. The low molecular weight IgG influences the antigen-antibody interaction more fvourably. The simulated perforated rectangular cantilever beam with IgG antibody is a more promising model for the fabrication of a sensor for the estimation of highly motile Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Treponema pallidum.

A Complete DFT, TD-DFT and Non-Linear Optical Property Study on 6-Amino-2-Methylpyridine-3-Carbonitrile

The optimized geometric structure and photophysical properties of 6-Amino-2-methylpyridine-3-carbonitrile dye have been studied by using Density Functional Theory (DFT). The lowest singlet excited state geometry optimized using Time-Dependent Density Functional Theory (TD-DFT). On the basis of ground and excited state geometries, the absorption spectra have been calculated using the DFT and TD-DFT method in gas phase and acetonitrile medium. To understand the Non-Linear Optical properties of 6-Amino-2-methylpyridine-3-carbonitrile dye, we computed dipole moment (μ), electronic polarizability (α), and first hyperpolarizability (β0) and second order hyperpolarizability (γ) using B3LYP density functional theory method in conjunction with 6-311++G(d) basis set.

Management of Strawberry Grey Mold Disease Using Biocontrol Agents and Plant Extracts

Strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa Duch.) is a significant global soft fruit crop, prized for its nutrient content and pleasant flavor. However, diseases, particularly grey mold caused by Botrytis cinerea Pers. Fr. poses major constraints to strawberry production and productivity. Grey mold severely impacts fruit quality and quantity, diminishing market value. This study evaluated five B. cinerea isolates from various locations in the Ri-Bhoi district of Meghalaya. All isolates were pathogenic, with isolate SGM 2 identified as highly virulent. Host range studies showed the pathogen-producing symptoms in the fava bean pods, marigold, gerbera, and chrysanthemum flowers and in the fava bean, gerbera, and lettuce leaves. In vitro tests revealed that neem extract (15% w/v) achieved the highest mycelial growth inhibition at 76.66%, while black turmeric extract (5% w/v) had the lowest inhibition at 9.62%. Dual culture methods with bio-control agents indicated that Bacillus subtilis recorded the highest mean inhibition at 77.03%, while Pseudomonas fluorescens had the lowest at 20.36% against the two virulent isolates. Pot evaluations demonstrated that B. subtilis resulted in the lowest percent disease index at 20.59%, followed by neem extract at 23.31%, with the highest disease index in the control group at 42.51%. Additionally, B. subtilis significantly improved plant growth, yielding an average of 0.32 kg compared to 0.14 kg in the control. The promising results of B. subtilis and neem leaf extract from this study suggest their potential for eco-friendly managing grey mold in strawberries under field conditions.

Inhaled hypertonic saline for cystic fibrosis: Reviewing the potential evidence for modulation of neutrophil signalling and function

Cystic fibrosis(CF) is a multisystem disorder with significantly shortened life expectancy. The major cause of mortality and morbidity is lung disease with increasing pulmonary exacerbations and decline in lung function predicting significantly poorer outcomes. The pathogenesis of lung disease in CF is characterised in part by decreased airway surface liquid volume and subsequent failure of normal mucociliary clearance. This leads to accumulation of viscous mucus in the CF airway, providing an ideal environment for bacterial pathogens to grow and colonise, propagating airway inflammation in CF. The use of nebulised hypertonic saline(HTS) treatments has been shown to improve mucus clearance in CF and impact positively upon exacerbations, quality of life, and lung function. Several mechanisms of HTS likely improve outcome, resulting in clinically relevant enhancement in disease parameters related to increase in mucociliary clearance. There is increasing evidence to suggest that HTS is also beneficial through its anti-inflammatory properties and its ability to reduce bacterial activity and biofilm formation. This review will first describe the use of HTS in treatment of CF focusing on its efficacy and tolerability. The emphasis will then change to the potential benefits of aerosolized HTS for the attenuation of receptor mediated neutrophil functions, including down-regulation of oxidative burst activity, adhesion molecule expression, and the suppression of neutrophil degranulation of proteolytic enzymes.
