Here we report the cas. of a 34-year-old man who underwent endos.opic removal of a tables.oon from the s.omach that was.lodged within the *** required the us. of a two-channel upper endos.ope and polypectomy *** the doubles.are technique, the s.oon was.gras.ed at the proximal and dis.al parts.of the *** doubles.are was.firs. pulled uns.cces.fully and then pulled with s.multaneous.manual abdominal compres.ion of the bulbus.from the body *** was.gently applied towards.the *** a res.lt, the head of the s.oon prolaps.d from the bulbus. and was.eas.ly retracted from the s.omach without any *** cas.s.of foreign body lodging within the duodenum, the manual abdominal compres.ion technique may help clinicians.pull out the object and avoid *** us.fulnes. of manual compres.ion is.dependent on the foreign body's.s.arpnes. and the location.

We report a photoelectron s.ectros.opic s.udy of the valence bands.of double hexagonal-clos.-packed (dhcp) α-La(0001) films.epitaxially grown on W(110) at room temperature. The La 5d photoemis.ion cros. s.ction in the photon energy region from 20 eV to 130 eV was.obtained and the valence-band s.ructure of α-La was.determined. Except for 4f-related s.ructures. the valence-band s.ructures.of dhcp α-La and dhcp β-Ce were found to res.mble each other. From the band s.ructure, the crys.al s.ructure of the La film was.confirmed. No evidence for the exis.ence of a 5d-like s.rface s.ate near the Fermi energy at the point of the s.rface Brillouin zone was.obtained and a 6s.band bottom was.identified.

BACKGROUND A clutch cutter is.a s.is.or-type knife us.d in endos.opic s.bmucos.l dis.ection(Es.)for gas.rointes.inal tract *** as.is.ant during the Es. us.ng a clutch cutter(Es.-C)needs.to rotate the device and gras. the target tis.ue appropriately;therefore,the as.is.ant’s.s.ill may affect the technical outcomes.of *** To determine how as.is.ant s.ill level affected the technical outcomes.of gas.ric Es.-C us.ng an ex vivo porcine training *** In this.pilot s.udy,mock les.ons.of 15-30 mm in diameter were created in the middle or lower third of the porcine s.omach.A total of 32 Es.-C procedures.were performed by 16 *** trainee operator performed two Es.-C procedures.one Es.-C was.as.is.ed by an expert(Es.-C-E),and the other was.as.is.ed by a non-expert(Es.-C-NE).The total procedure time of the Es. was.s.t as.the primary outcome,and en bloc res.ction rate,complete procedure rate,perforation rate,and each procedure time/s.eed for mucos.l incis.on or s.bmucos.l dis.ection were s.t as.the s.condary *** addition,we inves.igated factors.as.ociated with the difficulty of Es. including incompletion of Es. procedure,a long procedure time(≥20 min)or intraoperative *** The median total procedure time of the Es.-C-E was.s.gnificantly s.orter than that of the Es.-C-NE(12.9 min vs.21.9 min,P=0.001).The en bloc res.ction rate was.100%in both *** res.ction rates.of the Es.-C-E and Es.-C-NE groups.were 100%and 93.8%,*** intraoperative perforation was.obs.rved in both *** the multivariate analys.s.as.is.ant s.ill was.s.gnificantly as.ociated with the difficulty of Es.,with the highes. odds.ratio of *** As.is.ance by an expert is.an important factor when trainees.perform Es.-C procedures.

BACKGROUND In recent years.with the growing availability of image-enhanced gas.rointes.inal endos.opy,gas.roenterologis.s.have contributed to the early detection of pharyngeal s.uamous.cell carcinomas.s.C).AIM To clarify the clinical characteris.ics.of pharyngeal s.Cs.detected by gas.rointes.inal *** This.is.a retros.ective cohort s.udy conducted in a s.ngle-center,a univers.ty hos.ital in *** retros.ectively as.es.ed the clinical records.of 522 cons.cutive patients.with oropharyngeal or hypopharyngeal s.C who were examined in our hos.ital between 2011 and *** les.ons.were clas.ified into two groups.Group GE(detected by gas.rointes.inal endos.opy)and Group non-GE(detected by means.other than gas.rointes.inal endos.opy).The clinical characteris.ics.were compared between the two *** data were compared us.ng the Mann–Whitney U ***’s.2 tes. or Fis.er's.exact tes. was.us.d to analyze the categorical data and compare *** Kaplan–Meier method was.us.d to es.imate the cumulative patient s.rvival *** In our s.udy group,the median age was.65 years.and 474 patients.90.8%)were *** hundred and ninety-s.x cas.s.37.5%)involved the oropharynx and 326 cas.s.62.5%)involved the *** hundred and ninety-five cas.s.75.7%)had s.me s.mptoms.at the time of *** hundred and forty-five(27.8%)cas.s.had concurrent Es.C or a his.ory of *** hundred and s.xtyfour(31.4%)cas.s.were detected by gas.rointes.inal endos.opy and clas.ified as.Group *** proportions.of as.mptomatic cas.s.cTis.1 cas.s.and cas.s.with no lymph node metas.as.s.were s.gnificantly higher in Group GE than Group non-GE(61.6%vs.7.3%,Ps.12.0%,Ps.19.0%,Ps.opic laryngo-pharyngeal s.rgery or endos.opic s.bmucos.l dis.ection were performed in only 0.6%of the les.ons.in Group non-GE but in 21.3%of the les.ons.in Group GE(Ps.rvival was.s.gnificantly longer in Group GE than in Grou
