Additive manufacturing(AM)has the potential to transform manufacturing by enabling previously un-thinkable products,digital inventory and delivery,and distributed *** we presented an extrusion-based metal AM method(refer to“SoftTouch”depositionin thefiledpatent)thatis suitablefor making the metal feedstock flowable prior to the deposition through dynamic recrystallization induced grain refinement at elevated *** flowable metal was extruded out of the printer head like a paste for building dense metal parts with fine equiaxed grains and wrought mechanical ***-the-shelf metal rods were used as feedstock and the printing process was completed in an open-air environment,avoiding pricy powders and costly inert or vacuum *** resulting multi-layer de-posited 6061 aluminum alloys yield strength and ductility comparable to wrought 6061 aluminum alloys after the same T6 heat *** extrusion-based metal AM method can also be advanced as green manufacturing technologies for fabricating novel alloys and composites,adding novel features to existing parts,repairing damaged metal parts,and welding advanced metals for supporting sustainable manufac-turing,in addition to being developed into a cost-effective manufacturing process for the fabrication of dense metal of complex structural forms.

Nowadays multiple wireless communication systems operate in industrial environments side by *** such an environment performance of one wireless network can be degraded by the collocated hostile wireless network having higher transmission power or higher carrier sensing *** the previous research works which considered IEEE 802.15.4 for the Industrial Wireless communication systems(iWCS)this paper examines the coexistence of IEEE 802.11 based iWCS used for delay-stringent communication in process automation and gWLAN(general-purpose WLAN)used for non-real time *** this paper,we present a Markov chain-based performance model that described the transmission failure of iWCS due to geographical collision with *** presented analytic model accurately determines throughput,packet transaction delay,and packet loss probability of iWCS when it is collocated with *** results of the Markov model match more than 90%with our simulation ***,we proposed an adaptive transmission power control technique for iWCS to overcome the potential interferences caused by the gWLAN *** simulation results show that the proposed technique significantly improves iWCS performance in terms of throughput,packet transaction,and cycle period ***,it enables the industrial network for the use of delay critical applications in the presence of gWLAN without affecting its performance.

Numerical Study of Unsteady MHd Flow and Entropy Generation in a Rotating Permeable Channel with Slip and Hall Effects

This article investigates an unbiased analysis for the unsteady two-dimensional laminar flow of an incompressible, electrically and thermally conducting fluid across the space separated by two infinite rotating permeable *** influence of entropy generation, Hall and slip effects are considered within the flow analysis. The problem is modeled based on valid physical arguments and the unsteady system of dimensionless PdEs (partial differential equations) are solved with the help of Finite difference Scheme. In the presence of pertinent parameters, the precise movement of the flow in terms of velocity, temperature, entropy generation rate, and Bejan numbers are presented graphically, which are parabolic in nature. Streamline profiles are also presented, which exemplify the accurate movement of the flow. The current study is one of the infrequent contributions to the existing literature as previous studies have not attempted to solve the system of high order non-linear PdEs for the unsteady flow with entropy generation and Hall effects in a permeable rotating channel. It is expected that the current analysis would provide a platform for solving the system of nonlinear PdEs of the other unexplored models that are associated to the two-dimensional unsteady flow in a rotating channel.

Effect of Composts,Lime and diammonium Phosphate on the Phytoavailability of Heavy Metals in a Copper Mine Tailing Soil

Soil samples from a historic copper mine tailing site at the Parys Mountain,North Wales(UK) were amended with green waste compost(GC),GC+30% sewage sludge(GCS),lime and diammonium phosphate(dAP),to determine the effect of amendments on dTPA-and Ca(NO3)2-extractable metals in the mine tailing and on the phytoavailability of heavy metals by a lettuce(Lactuca sativa L.).Both compost were added at the rate of 10% by weight,lime was added as calcium carbonate equivalent(pH = 7) and dAP at a 2300 mg kg-1 soil *** experiment was arranged in randomised complete design with three replicates in pots under control *** of lime resulted in the largest reduction in metal extractability with dTPA and Ca(NO3)2 and phytoavailability of Cu,Fe and Zn while dAP was effective in lowering Pb extractability and *** exception of Zn,all other metals extracted decreased with time after amendment *** distribution of heavy metals between and within the four procedures of potentially bioavailable sequential extraction(PBASE) varied significantly(P d between the metals extracted with PBASE SE1 and Cu,Pb(P d Fe(P dicate that addition of lime is sufficient to restore the vegetative cover to a high metal mine waste while dAP is good for stabilizing Pb,but its detrimental role on plant growth and the risk associated with presence of N in dAP(through N leaching) may restrict its chances for remediation of contaminated sites.

TGA/dSC study to characterise and classify coal seams conforming to susceptibility towards spontaneous combustion

Thermogravimetric analysis/differential scanning calorimeter(TGA/dSC)technique along with basic coal characteristics study is carried out for eighty coal samples of Indian coalfields,to determine spontaneous combustion propensity behaviour of *** study of coal samples indicates that there is an increase in the mass of coal samples in the temperature range 150-350℃,which may be due to oxygen adsorption and *** correlation and principal component analysis states that the component of proximate analysis(M_(ad),VM_(d),FR,and VR)have an acceptable correlation with the TGA experiments results i.e.,Tgsh and *** fixed nonlinear regression analysis shows that thermogravimetry(TG)experiment results Tgign may be the best index to categorise/classify the coal as per their susceptibility towards spontaneous *** authors proposed four groups of classification as per their propensity towards spontaneous combustion depending upon the moisture(M_(ad)),volatile matter(VM_(d)),and TG ignition temperature from differential thermogravimetric(dTG)curve(Tgign)using hierarchal clustering *** coal samples of different seams from Indian coalfield may be classified into four different clusters,*** highly/extremely susceptible(Tgignderately susceptible(290℃≤Tgign≤320℃),and poorly susceptible(Tgign>320℃).The field observations and TGA/dSC experiment results with the following statistical analysis substantiate a similar assessment.

Pollution of water resources due to industrialization in arid zone of Rajasthan, India

In arid zone of Rajasthan, India, nearly 21,900 hm2 area along Bandi River has been affected by industrial effluent discharge into the river bed. Analysis of groundwater samples collected from these sites revealed that area at the vicinity of the river is most affected. The effluent water in the river is the main source of contamination of ground water. Concentration of sodium and chloride has been higher with proportional increase in TdS and EC value in the area within zone A (river water), zone B (0-100 m), zone C (101-250 m), zone d (251-500 m) and zone E (501-1000 m). There is decreasing trend in ion concentration from zone A to zone E and F, reflecting reduced effect of effluents. The pollution of water resources has resulted in the degradation of other natural resources such as land, soil and vegetation. Nearly 4463 hm2 (20.38%) area has been very severely affected. EC value at places exceeds 20 dS/m. Soil and land have become hard, compact and saline. Cropping intensity has declined. In the area (3633 hm2) affected severely, the EC value of water varies from 10-20 dS/m. Irrigation with such water has created problem of salinity, sodicity in soils. Herbal biomass declined considerably. double cropping has almost stopped. Almost 8494 hm2 area is affected moderately. EC of ground water varies from 5 to 10 dS/m. Fragile surface crust, declining trend of phosphorous and potassium in the soil, poor density of natural vegetation are significant manifestations. Apart from this, 5305 hm2 area is slightly affected.

Transformation from conventional business management systems tosmart digital systems is a recurrent trend in the current era. This has led to digitalrevolution, and in this context, the hardwired technologies in the software industry play a significant role However, from the beginning, software security remainsa serious issue for all levels of stakeholders. Software vulnerabilities lead to intrusions that cause data breaches and result in disclosure of sensitive data, compromising the organizations’ reputation that translates into, financial losses andcompromising software usability as well. Most of the data breaches are financiallymotivated, especially in the healthcare sector. The cyber invaders continuouslypenetrate the E- Health data because of the high cost of the data on the darkweb. Therefore, security assessment of healthcare web-based applicationsdemands immediate intervention mechanisms to weed out the threats of cyberattacks for the sake of software usability. Modifications of the Optimal Auxiliary Function Method to Fractional Order Fornberg-Whitham Equations

In this paper,we present a new modification of the newly developed semi-analytical method named the Optimal Auxilary Function Method(OAFM)for fractional-order equations using the Caputo operator,which is named *** mathematical theory of FOAFM is presented and the effectiveness of this method is proven by using it with well-known Fornberg-Whitham Equations(FWE).The FOAFM results are compared with other method results along with their exact solutions with the help of tables and plots to prove the validity of FOAFM.A rapidly convergent series solution is obtained from FOAFMand is validated by comparison with other *** analysis proves that ourmethod is simply applicable,contains less computationalwork,and is rapidly convergent to the exact solution at the first iteration.A series solution to the problem is obtained with the help of *** validity of FOAFM results is validated by comparing its results with the results available in the *** is observed that FOAFM is simply applicable,contains less computational work,and is fastly *** convergence and stability are obtained with the help of optimal *** is very easy in applicability and provides excellent results at the first iteration for complex nonlinear initial/boundary value *** contains the optimal auxiliary constants through which we can control the convergence as FOAFM contains the auxiliary functions d_(1),d_(2),d_(3)...in which the optimal constants G_(1),G_(2),...and the control convergence parameters exist to play an important role in getting the convergent solution which is obtained *** computational work in FOAFM is less when compared to other methods and even a low-specification computer can do the computational work easily.
