The spent mushroom substrate(SMS)is a byproduct of cultivation of oyster mushroom(Pleurotus spp.)and represents the composted substrate that remains after completion the harvested *** study mentioned the role of some effective date palm wastes in improving spent mushroom substrate properties which containing fibers of date palm Phoenix dactylifera L.(Fibrillum),mixed with white sawdust and wheat straw in three *** mixtures of SMS namely,SMS1(wheat straw),SMS2(wheat straw 70%,sawdust 20%and date palm fiber 10%)and SMS3(wheat straw 50%,sawdust 30%and date palm fiber 20%)were obtained from locally mushroom farm in western Iraq and sent to determine some properties such as moisture content,dry matter,EC,pH,ash,carbon,nitrogen,protein contents and C:N ***,determinations of Hydrogen ion concentration(pH)for SMS extracts had acidic value at average *** higher EC was 3.30 ms/cm for ***(white),while the lower value reached to 1.13 ms/cm for SMS3 of same *** higher nitrogen content was 9.98 g/kg for ***(white),SMS1 of Pleurotus salmoneostramineus and ***(white),while,*** had lower nitrogen content(6.65 g/kg).The higher C:N ratio was reported with SMS3 of *** at value 35.36,while ***(grey)had ratio 22.03,significantly(pall,these SMS was suitable as a natural fertilizer and soil amender in agriculture and horticulture fields.

Cadmium(Cd) is a toxic and carcinogenic element,and it causes different diseases for people like sever nausea,salivation vomiting,diarrhoea,abdominal pain and neuralgia when it comes into food chain at excessive *** is also not included in the micronutrients for plant *** to arid and semi arid conditions of Pakistan,rainfall is small,causing shortage of irrigation *** of this shortage,farmers largely use city effluents for raising vegetables in the areas around big cities,which are contaminated with industrial *** effluents from Pakistan third largest city(Faisalabad) are used as supplementary irrigation water to produce vegetables for human *** paper reports a study on assessment of risks and opportunities associated with this practice,with emphasis on Cd,which can enter the food chain as an impurity in *** and other elements were measured in some typical effluents,four types of soils and many vegetables with no fertilizer *** was found that the municipal effluents increased soil salinity,sodicity and Cd *** Cd concentration in the vegetables was high above those normally associated with suitability for human *** were suggestions that soluble Cd concentration in the effluents could be lessened by adding lime,concurrently lowering the sodium adsorption ratio and residual sodium carbonate of the effluents,thus making them safe for utilization on agricultural soils.(Fig 1),Tab 7,Ref

This research was an effort to select best imputation method for missing upper air temperature data over 24 standard pressure levels. We have implemented four imputation techniques like inverse distance weighting, Bilinear, Natural and Nearest interpolation for missing data imputations. Performance indicators for these techniques were the root mean square error (RMSE), absolute mean error (AME), correlation coefficient and coefficient of determination ( R2 ) adopted in this research. We randomly make 30% of total samples (total samples was 324) predictable from 70% remaining data. although four interpolation methods seem good (producing all pressure levels except 1000 hPa where this value was 0.6. The low value of AME (all pressure levels through bilinear imputations. Very strong correlation (>0.99) found between actual and predicted air temperature data through this method. The high value of the coefficient of determination (0.99) through bilinear interpolation method, tells us best fit to the surface. We have also found similar results for imputation with natural interpolation method in this research, but after investigating scatter plots over each month, imputations with this method seem to little obtuse in certain months than bilinear method.

Objective:To investigate the pharmacological potential of Argemone mexicana in treating constipation and emesis by using in vitro and in vivo ***:The spasmogenic and spasmolytic effects were evaluated on isolated rabbit jejunum fragments loaded in a tissue organ *** response was recorded with an isotonic transducer attached with Power Lab Data Acquisition *** laxative and antiemetic activities were assessed in BalB-c mice and poultry chicks challenged with carbamylcholine and copper sulphate stimulated emesis,***:The total phenolic and total flavonoids contents of the extract were(267.75±5.77)mg GAE/g and(73.86±6.01)mg QE/g,*** mexicana extract exerted spasmogenic effect on isolated rabbit jejunum segments with an EC_(50)value of 0.016 mg/m L,which was blocked by atropine(0.3μM).Argemone mexicana extract exerted spasmolytic effect in atropine treated jejunum fragments with an EC_(50)value of 2.185 mg/***,Argemone mexicana extract relaxed potassium(80 mM)-induced contractions(EC_(50):9.07 mg/mL),similar to a standard drug *** calcium channel blocker activity was confirmed by a rightward shift of concentration-response curve of calcium in the presence of Argemone mexicana extract(1-5 mg/mL)and verapamil(0.1-1μM).In addition,the extract increased the distance travelled by a charcoal in the gastrointestinal tract and exhibited antiemetic effect on copper sulphate induced emesis in ***:Argemone mexicana shows cholinergic agonist and calcium channel blocker activities,as well as antiemetic *** may be used as a potential agent for treating gastrointestinal disorders.

This paper presents a systematic view of most up-to-date tools, technologies and techniques which is appropriate not only for effective decision making, but also helpful for competent administration to provide efficient resolution for spatial troubles of Khasra and Parcel management. Different Data collection techniques have been applied on different data sources. Worldview II of 0.5 resolution image, scanned Master Plan and Cadastral/Khasra Maps was used for development of geodatabase for spatial and non-spatial entities using ArcGIS 10.2. Multiple processing on Satellite Imagery using ERDAS Imagine was performed like Image enhancement, Mosaicking and Color Balancing, Image Geo-referencing and Raster Cataloging. Development of Customize Graphical User Interface (GUI) for DHA’s officials and administrator makes efficient decision in society matters. This is the first spatial GUI, for DHA to plan and maintain society’s activities efficiently, in the form of ArcMap Add-Ins. These Add-Ins are written in C#.Net using ArcObjects APIs within MSVS 2012.

Machine-to-machine (M2M) communication plays a fundamental role in autonomous IoT (Internet of Things)-based infrastructure, a vital part of the fourth industrial revolution. Machine-type communication devices(MTCDs) regularly share extensive data without human intervention while making all types of decisions. Thesedecisions may involve controlling sensitive ventilation systems maintaining uniform temperature, live heartbeatmonitoring, and several different alert systems. Many of these devices simultaneously share data to form anautomated system. The data shared between machine-type communication devices (MTCDs) is prone to risk dueto limited computational power, internal memory, and energy capacity. Therefore, securing the data and devicesbecomes challenging due to factors such as dynamic operational environments, remoteness, harsh conditions,and areas where human physical access is difficult. One of the crucial parts of securing MTCDs and data isauthentication, where each devicemust be verified before data transmission. SeveralM2Mauthentication schemeshave been proposed in the literature, however, the literature lacks a comprehensive overview of current M2Mauthentication techniques and the challenges associated with them. To utilize a suitable authentication schemefor specific scenarios, it is important to understand the challenges associated with it. Therefore, this article fillsthis gap by reviewing the state-of-the-art research on authentication schemes in MTCDs specifically concerningapplication categories, security provisions, and performance efficiency.

Agriculture is being main stay of Pakistan economy and it’s very significant to monitor the existing agricultural areas and its changes, due to different aspects like salinity and waterlogging, which reduce the fertility of agricultural lands adversely. Managing salinity so as to minimize its environmental impact is a prerequisite for the long-term sustainability of irrigated agriculture. It is ironic that the irrigated areas are those that are afflicted most by the twin menaces of waterlogging and salinity. Geospatial technology was used to assess the waterlogging and salinity condition in Nara canal command area, during the last two surveys conducted in years 1977-1981 and 2001- 2003 respectively. After analyzing the results in detail, we obtain a clear relationship among salt affected soils, and waterlogged areas reveal that 0.2% to 1.25% of salt affected areas fall under the shallow zone with high water table. The spatial distribution of water table shows various trends among the water tables, and the surface salinity of surface saline areas has been increased due to waterlogging caused by unmanaged spatial drainage system.

Soil contamination with toxic heavy metals[such as cadmium(Cd)]is becoming a serious global problem due to rapid development of social ***(Fe),being an important element,has been found effective in enhancing plant tolerance against biotic and abiotic *** present study investigated the extent to which different levels of Ferrous sulphate(FeSO_(4))modulated the Cd tolerance of rice(Oryza sativa L.),when maintained in artificially Cd spiked regimes.A pot experiment was conducted under controlled conditions for 146 days,by using natural soil,mixed with different levels of CdCl_(2)[0(no Cd),0.5 and 1 mg/kg]together with the exogenous application of FeSO_(4) at[0(no Fe),1.5 and 3 mg/kg]levels to monitor different growth,gaseous exchange characteristics,oxidative stress,antioxidative responses,minerals accumulation,organic acid exudation patterns of *** results depicted that addition of Cd to the soil significantly(Pal uptake by the plants,sugars(soluble,reducing,and non-reducing sugar)and altered the ultrastructure of chloroplasts,plastoglobuli,mitochondria,and many other cellular organelles in Cd-stressed *** compared to those plants which were grown without the addition of Cd in the ***,Cd toxicity boosted the production of reactive oxygen species(ROS)by increasing the contents of malondialdehyde(MDA),which is the indication of oxidative stress in *** and was also manifested by hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))contents and electrolyte leakage to the membrane bounded ***,activities of various antioxidative enzymes like superoxidase dismutase(SOD),peroxidase(POD),catalase(CAT)and ascorbate peroxidase(APX)and non-enzymatic antioxidants like phenolics,flavonoid,ascorbic acid,anthocyanin and proline contents increased up to a Cd level of 0.5 mg/kg in the soil but were significantly diminished at the highest Cd level of 1 mg/kg in the soil compar

Role of Canal Lining on Groundwater Fluctuations: A Modeling Simulation Approach for Jaalwala Distributary, Bahawalnagar

Jaalwala Distributary was selected to see the consequences of concrete lining on the underlying saline groundwater table. Its middle and tail portions were concrete lined whereas the head portion was still unlined. Visual MODFLOW 2011.1 was used to simulate the effects of concrete lining on saline groundwater in two-dimensional format. Simulation results showed a gradual rise of electrical conductivity (EC) up to 7000 μS/cm and decline in water table depth to nine feet (2.74 m). It observed negligible inflows from the distributary through its western boundary due to formation of a permanent barrier in the way of seepage of any kind. Results have further predicted that freshwater layer available beneath the Jaalwala Distributary (before its lining) will finish ultimately and the below present saline water also move upward to take this vacated place. Hence it was concluded to line the canals of saline water areas from their sides which will not only protect them from erosion but canal water theft as well.
